| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [10:60] | Wama thannu allatheenayaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba yawmaalqiyamati inna Allaha lathoo fadlinAAala alnnasi walakinna aktharahum layashkuroona |  وما ظن الذين يفترون على الله الكذب يوم القيامة إن الله لذو فضل على الناس ولكن أكثرهم لا يشكرونوَمَا ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ الْكَذِبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّ اللّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ایسے لوگوں کا روزِ قیامت کے بارے میں کیا خیال ہے جو اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھتے ہیں، بیشک اللہ لوگوں پر فضل فرمانے والا ہے لیکن ان میں سے اکثر (لوگ) شکر گزار نہیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And what think those who invent lies against Allah, of the Day of Judgment? Verily Allah is full of bounty to mankind, but most of them are ungrateful.

| 2. [10:62] | Ala inna awliyaa Allahila khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona | ألا إن أولياء الله لا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون أَلاَ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللّهِ لاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | خبردار! بیشک اولیاء اللہ پر نہ کوئی خوف ہے اورنہ وہ رنجیدہ و غمگین ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold! verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve;

[10:61] | Wama takoonu fee sha/nin wamatatloo minhu min qur-anin wala taAAmaloona minAAamalin illa kunna AAalaykum shuhoodan ithtufeedoona feehi wama yaAAzubu AAan rabbika minmithqali tharratin fee al-ardi walafee alssama-i wala asghara min thalikawala akbara illa fee kitabin mubeenun | وما تكون في شأن وما تتلو منه من قرآن ولا تعملون من عمل إلا كنا عليكم شهودا إذ تفيضون فيه وما يعزب عن ربك من مثقال ذرة في الأرض ولا في السماء ولا أصغر من ذلك ولا أكبر إلا في كتاب مبين وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأْنٍ وَمَا تَتْلُو مِنْهُ مِن قُرْآنٍ وَلاَ تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ إِلاَّ كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُودًا إِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلاَ أَصْغَرَ مِن ذَلِكَ وَلا أَكْبَرَ إِلاَّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) آپ جس حال میں بھی ہوں اور آپ اس کی طرف سے جس قدر بھی قرآن پڑھ کر سناتے ہیں اور (اے امتِ محمدیہ!) تم جو عمل بھی کرتے ہو مگر ہم (اس وقت) تم سب پر گواہ و نگہبان ہوتے ہیں جب تم اس میں مشغول ہوتے ہو، اور آپ کے رب (کے علم) سے ایک ذرّہ برابر بھی (کوئی چیز) نہ زمین میں پوشیدہ ہے اور نہ آسمان میں اور نہ اس (ذرہ) سے کوئی چھوٹی چیز ہے اور نہ بڑی مگر واضح کتاب (یعنی لوحِ محفوظ) میں (درج) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.

[10:64] | Lahumu albushra fee alhayatialddunya wafee al-akhirati latabdeela likalimati Allahi thalika huwaalfawzu alAAatheemu | لهم البشرى في الحياة الدنيا وفي الآخرة لا تبديل لكلمات الله ذلك هو الفوز العظيم لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَياةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ لاَ تَبْدِيلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللّهِ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان کے لئے دنیا کی زندگی میں (بھی عزت و مقبولیت کی) بشارت ہے اور آخرت میں (بھی مغفرت و شفاعت کی/ یا دنیا میں بھی نیک خوابوں کی صورت میں پاکیزہ روحانی مشاہدات ہیں اور آخرت میں بھی حُسنِ مطلق کے جلوے اور دیدار)، اللہ کے فرمان بدلا نہیں کرتے، یہی وہ عظیم کامیابی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity.

| 5. [10:65] | Wala yahzunka qawluhum innaalAAizzata lillahi jameeAAan huwa alssameeAAualAAaleemu | ولا يحزنك قولهم إن العزة لله جميعا هو السميع العليم وَلاَ يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ إِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلّهِ جَمِيعًا هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ان کی (عناد و عداوت پر مبنی) گفتگو آپ کو غمگین نہ کرے۔ بیشک ساری عزت و غلبہ اللہ ہی کے لئے ہے (جو جسے چاہتا ہے دیتا ہے)، وہ خوب سننے والا جاننے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let not their speech grieve thee: for all power and honour belong to Allah: It is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things).

[10:67] | Huwa allathee jaAAala lakumu allaylalitaskunoo feehi waalnnahara mubsiran innafee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona | هو الذي جعل لكم الليل لتسكنوا فيه والنهار مبصرا إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يسمعون هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُواْ فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہی ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے رات بنائی تاکہ تم اس میں آرام کرو اور دن کو روشن بنایا (تاکہ تم اس میں کام کاج کر سکو)۔ بیشک اس میں ان لوگوں کے لئے نشانیاں ہیں جو (غور سے) سنتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He it is That hath made you the night that ye may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you). Verily in this are signs for those who listen (to His Message).

[10:66] | Ala inna lillahi man fee alssamawatiwaman fee al-ardi wama yattabiAAu allatheenayadAAoona min dooni Allahi shurakaa inyattabiAAoona illa alththanna wa-inhum illa yakhrusoona | ألا إن لله من في السماوات ومن في الأرض وما يتبع الذين يدعون من دون الله شركاء إن يتبعون إلا الظن وإن هم إلا يخرصون أَلاَ إِنَّ لِلّهِ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَات وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ شُرَكَاءَ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَخْرُصُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جان لو جو کوئی آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کوئی زمین میں ہے سب اللہ ہی کے (مملوک) ہیں، اور جو لوگ اللہ کے سوا (بتوں) کی پرستش کرتے ہیں (درحقیقت اپنے گھڑے ہوئے) شریکوں کی پیروی (بھی) نہیں کرتے، بلکہ وہ صرف (اپنے) وہم و گمان کی پیروی کرتے ہیں اور وہ محض غلط اندازے لگاتے رہتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold! verily to Allah belong all creatures, in the heavens and on earth. What do they follow who worship as His "partners" other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy, and they do nothing but lie.

| 8. [10:69] | Qul inna allatheena yaftaroona AAalaAllahi alkathiba la yuflihoona | قل إن الذين يفترون على الله الكذب لا يفلحون قُلْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ الْكَذِبَ لاَ يُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: بیشک جو لوگ اللہ پرجھوٹا بہتان باندھتے ہیں وہ فلاح نہیں پائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Those who invent a lie against Allah will never prosper."

[10:68] | Qaloo ittakhatha Allahuwaladan subhanahu huwa alghaniyyu lahu ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi in AAindakum min sultaninbihatha ataqooloona AAala Allahi ma lataAAlamoona | قالوا اتخذ الله ولدا سبحانه هو الغني له ما في السماوات وما في الأرض إن عندكم من سلطان بهذا أتقولون على الله ما لا تعلمون قَالُواْ اتَّخَذَ اللّهُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَات وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ إِنْ عِندَكُم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ بِهَـذَا أَتقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہتے ہیں: اللہ نے (اپنے لئے) بیٹا بنا لیا ہے (حالانکہ) وہ اس سے پاک ہے، وہ بے نیاز ہے۔ جو کچھ آسمانوں میں اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سب اسی کی مِلک ہے، تمہارے پاس اس (قولِ باطل) کی کوئی دلیل نہیں، کیا تم اللہ پر وہ (بات) کہتے ہو جسے تم (خود بھی) نہیں جانتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They say: "Allah hath begotten a son!" - Glory be to Him! He is self-sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No warrant have ye for this! say ye about Allah what ye know not?

[10:70] | MataAAun fee alddunyathumma ilayna marjiAAuhum thumma nutheequhumu alAAathabaalshshadeeda bima kanoo yakfuroona | متاع في الدنيا ثم إلينا مرجعهم ثم نذيقهم العذاب الشديد بما كانوا يكفرون مَتَاعٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ نُذِيقُهُمُ الْعَذَابَ الشَّدِيدَ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | دنیا میں (چند روزہ) لطف اندوزی ہے پھر انہیں ہماری ہی طرف پلٹنا ہے پھر ہم انہیں سخت عذاب کا مزہ چکھائیں گے اس کے بدلے میں جو وہ کفر کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | A little enjoyment in this world!- and then, to Us will be their return, then shall We make them taste the severest penalty for their blasphemies.

[10:71] | Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa noohinith qala liqawmihi ya qawmi in kanakabura AAalaykum maqamee watathkeeree bi-ayatiAllahi faAAala Allahi tawakkaltu faajmiAAooamrakum washurakaakum thumma la yakun amrukumAAalaykum ghummatan thumma iqdoo ilayya wala tunthirooni | واتل عليهم نبأ نوح إذ قال لقومه يا قوم إن كان كبر عليكم مقامي وتذكيري بآيات الله فعلى الله توكلت فأجمعوا أمركم وشركاءكم ثم لا يكن أمركم عليكم غمة ثم اقضوا إلي ولا تنظرون وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ نُوحٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ إِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكُم مَّقَامِي وَتَذْكِيرِي بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ فَعَلَى اللّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ فَأَجْمِعُواْ أَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَاءَكُمْ ثُمَّ لاَ يَكُنْ أَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّةً ثُمَّ اقْضُواْ إِلَيَّ وَلاَ تُنظِرُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان پر نوح (علیہ السلام) کا قصہ بیان فرمائیے، جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے کہا: اے میری قوم (اولادِ قابیل!) اگر تم پر میرا قیام اور میرا اللہ کی آیتوں کے ساتھ نصیحت کرنا گراں گزر رہا ہے تو (جان لو کہ) میں نے تو صرف اللہ ہی پر توکل کرلیا ہے (اور تمہارا کوئی ڈر نہیں) سو تم اکٹھے ہوکر (میری مخالفت میں) اپنی تدبیر کو پختہ کرلو اور اپنے (گھڑے ہوئے) شریکوں کو بھی (ساتھ ملا لو اور اس قدر سوچ لو کہ) پھر تمہاری تدبیر (کا کوئی پہلو) تم پر مخفی نہ رہے، پھر میرے ساتھ (جو جی میں آئے) کر گزرو اور (مجھے) کوئی مہلت نہ دو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Relate to them the story of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah,- yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite.

[10:72] | Fa-in tawallaytum fama saaltukum minajrin in ajriya illa AAala Allahi waomirtuan akoona mina almuslimeena | فإن توليتم فما سألتكم من أجر إن أجري إلا على الله وأمرت أن أكون من المسلمين فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى اللّهِ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو اگر تم نے (میری نصیحت سے) منہ پھیر لیا ہے تو میں نے تم سے کوئی معاوضہ تو نہیں مانگا، میرا اجر تو صرف اللہ (کے ذمۂ کرم) پر ہے اور مجھے یہ حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں (اس کے حکم کے سامنے) سرِ تسلیم خم کئے رکھوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "But if ye turn back, (consider): no reward have I asked of you: my reward is only due from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of those who submit to Allah's will (in Islam)."

[10:73] | Fakaththaboohu fanajjaynahuwaman maAAahu fee alfulki wajaAAalnahum khala-ifawaaghraqna allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinafaonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatualmunthareena | فكذبوه فنجيناه ومن معه في الفلك وجعلناهم خلائف وأغرقنا الذين كذبوا بآياتنا فانظر كيف كان عاقبة المنذرين فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ خَلاَئِفَ وَأَغْرَقْنَا الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنذَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر آپ کی قوم نے آپ کو جھٹلایا پس ہم نے انہیں اور جو ان کے ساتھ کشتی میں تھے (عذابِ طوفان سے) نجات دی اور ہم نے انہیں (زمین میں) جانشین بنادیا اور ان لوگوں کو غرق کردیا جنہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا تھا، سو آپ دیکھئے کہ ان لوگوں کا انجام کیسا ہوا جو ڈرائے گئے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They rejected Him, but We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark, and We made them inherit (the earth), while We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our Signs. Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not)!

[10:74] | Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihi rusulanila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinatifama kanoo liyu/minoo bima kaththaboobihi min qablu kathalika natbaAAu AAalaquloobi almuAAtadeena | ثم بعثنا من بعده رسلا إلى قومهم فجاءوهم بالبينات فما كانوا ليؤمنوا بما كذبوا به من قبل كذلك نطبع على قلوب المعتدين ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِ رُسُلاً إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآؤُوهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤْمِنُواْ بِمَا كَذَّبُواْ بِهِ مِن قَبْلُ كَذَلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَى قُلوبِ الْمُعْتَدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے ان کے بعد (کتنے ہی) رسولوں کو ان کی قوموں کی طرف بھیجا سو وہ ان کے پاس واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے پس وہ لوگ (بھی) ایسے نہ ہوئے کہ اس (بات) پر ایمان لے آتے جسے وہ پہلے جھٹلا چکے تھے۔ اسی طرح ہم سرکشی کرنے والوں کے دلوں پر مُہر لگا دیا کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.

[10:75] | Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosawaharoona ila firAAawna wamala-ihi bi-ayatinafaistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeena | ثم بعثنا من بعدهم موسى وهارون إلى فرعون وملئه بآياتنا فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما مجرمين ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَى وَهَارُونَ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ بِآيَاتِنَا فَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے ان کے بعد موسٰی اور ہارون (علیھما السلام) کو فرعون اور اس کے سردارانِ قوم کی طرف نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیجا تو انہوں نے تکبر کیا اور وہ مجرم لوگ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then after them sent We Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our Signs. But they were arrogant: they were a people in sin.

| 16. [10:76] | Falamma jaahumu alhaqqumin AAindina qaloo inna hatha lasihrunmubeenun | فلما جاءهم الحق من عندنا قالوا إن هذا لسحر مبين فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُواْ إِنَّ هَـذَا لَسِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب ان کے پاس ہماری طرف سے حق آیا (تو) کہنے لگے: بیشک یہ تو کھلا جادو ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When the Truth did come to them from Us, they said: "This is indeed evident sorcery!"

| 17. [10:77] | Qala moosa ataqooloona lilhaqqilamma jaakum asihrun hatha walayuflihu alssahiroona | قال موسى أتقولون للحق لما جاءكم أسحر هذا ولا يفلح الساحرون قَالَ مُوسَى أَتقُولُونَ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَكُمْ أَسِحْرٌ هَـذَا وَلاَ يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: کیا تم (ایسی بات) حق سے متعلق کہتے ہو جب وہ تمہارے پاس آچکا ہے، (عقل و شعور کی آنکھیں کھول کر دیکھو) کیا یہ جادو ہے؟ اور جادوگر (کبھی) فلاح نہیں پاسکیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Said Moses: "Say ye (this) about the truth when it hath (actually) reached you? Is sorcery (like) this? But sorcerers will not prosper."

| Words | |قال - Musa said,| موسى - Musa said,| أتقولون - "Do you say| للحق - about the truth| لما - when| جاءكم - it has come to you?| أسحر - Is this magic?| هذا - Is this magic?| ولا - But (will) not| يفلح - succeed| الساحرون - the magicians."| | ||||||

[10:78] | Qaloo aji/tana litalfitanaAAamma wajadna AAalayhi abaanawatakoona lakuma alkibriyao fee al-ardi wamanahnu lakuma bimu/mineena | قالوا أجئتنا لتلفتنا عما وجدنا عليه آباءنا وتكون لكما الكبرياء في الأرض وما نحن لكما بمؤمنين قَالُواْ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَلْفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا وَتَكُونَ لَكُمَا الْكِبْرِيَاءُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكُمَا بِمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہنے لگے: (اے موسٰی!) کیا تم ہمارے پاس اس لئے آئے ہو کہ تم ہمیں اس (طریقہ) سے پھیر دو جس پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو (گامزن) پایا اور زمین (یعنی سرزمینِ مصر) میں تم دونوں کی بڑائی (قائم) رہے؟ اور ہم لوگ تم دونوں کو ماننے والے نہیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Hast thou come to us to turn us away from the ways we found our fathers following,- in order that thou and thy brother may have greatness in the land? But not we shall believe in you!"

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أجئتنا - "Have you come to us| لتلفتنا - to turn us away| عما - from that| وجدنا - we found| عليه - on it| آباءنا - our forefathers,| وتكون - and you two (may) have| لكما - and you two (may) have| الكبرياء - the greatness| في - in| الأرض - the land?| وما - And we (are) not| نحن - And we (are) not| لكما - (in) you two| بمؤمنين - believers."| | ||||||
| 19. [10:79] | Waqala firAAawnu i/toonee bikulli sahirinAAaleemin | وقال فرعون ائتوني بكل ساحر عليم وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ائْتُونِي بِكُلِّ سَاحِرٍ عَلِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور فرعون کہنے لگا: میرے پاس ہر ماہر جادوگر کو لے آؤ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Said Pharaoh: "Bring me every sorcerer well versed."

| Words | |وقال - And Firaun said,| فرعون - And Firaun said,| ائتوني - "Bring to me| بكل - every| ساحر - magician| عليم - learned."| | ||||||
| 20. [10:80] | Falamma jaa alssaharatuqala lahum moosa alqoo ma antum mulqoona | فلما جاء السحرة قال لهم موسى ألقوا ما أنتم ملقون فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَى أَلْقُواْ مَا أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب جادوگر آگئے تو موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے ان سے کہا: تم (وہ چیزیں میدان میں) ڈال دو جو تم ڈالنا چاہتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When the sorcerers came, Moses said to them: "Throw ye what ye (wish) to throw!"

| Words | |فلما - So when| جاء - came| السحرة - the magicians,| قال - said| لهم - to them| موسى - Musa,| ألقوا - "Throw| ما - whatever| أنتم - you| ملقون - (wish to) throw."| | ||||||

[10:81] | Falamma alqaw qala moosama ji/tum bihi alssihru inna Allahasayubtiluhu inna Allaha la yuslihuAAamala almufsideena | فلما ألقوا قال موسى ما جئتم به السحر إن الله سيبطله إن الله لا يصلح عمل المفسدين فَلَمَّا أَلْقَواْ قَالَ مُوسَى مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ السِّحْرُ إِنَّ اللّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب انہوں نے (اپنی رسیاں اور لاٹھیاں) ڈال دیں تو موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: جو کچھ تم لائے ہو (یہ) جادو ہے، بیشک اللہ ابھی اسے باطل کر دے گا، یقیناً اللہ مفسدوں کے کام کو درست نہیں کرتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When they had had their throw, Moses said: "What ye have brought is sorcery: Allah will surely make it of no effect: for Allah prospereth not the work of those who make mischief.

| 22. [10:82] | Wayuhiqqu Allahu alhaqqabikalimatihi walaw kariha almujrimoona | ويحق الله الحق بكلماته ولو كره المجرمون وَيُحِقُّ اللّهُ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اللہ اپنے کلمات سے حق کا حق ہونا ثابت فرما دیتا ہے اگرچہ مجرم لوگ اسے ناپسند ہی کرتے رہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And Allah by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!"

| Words | |ويحق - And Allah will establish| الله - And Allah will establish| الحق - the truth| بكلماته - by His words,| ولو - even if| كره - dislike it| المجرمون - the criminals."| | ||||||
| 23. [10:83] | Fama amana limoosa illathurriyyatun min qawmihi AAala khawfin minfirAAawna wamala-ihim an yaftinahum wa-inna firAAawna laAAalinfee al-ardi wa-innahu lamina almusrifeena | فما آمن لموسى إلا ذرية من قومه على خوف من فرعون وملئهم أن يفتنهم وإن فرعون لعال في الأرض وإنه لمن المسرفين فَمَا آمَنَ لِمُوسَى إِلاَّ ذُرِّيَّةٌ مِّن قَوْمِهِ عَلَى خَوْفٍ مِّن فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِمْ أَن يَفْتِنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس موسٰی (علیہ السلام) پر ان کی قوم کے چند جوانوں کے سوا (کوئی) ایمان نہ لایا، فرعون اور اپنے (قومی) سرداروں (وڈیروں) سے ڈرتے ہوئے کہ کہیں وہ انہیں (کسی) مصیبت میں مبتلا نہ کر دیں، اور بیشک فرعون سرزمینِ (مصر) میں بڑا جابر و سرکش تھا، اور وہ یقیناً (ظلم میں) حد سے بڑھ جانے والوں میں سے تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But none believed in Moses except some children of his people, because of the fear of Pharaoh and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and certainly Pharaoh was mighty on the earth and one who transgressed all bounds.

| 24. [10:84] | Waqala moosa ya qawmiin kuntum amantum biAllahi faAAalayhitawakkaloo in kuntum muslimeena | وقال موسى يا قوم إن كنتم آمنتم بالله فعليه توكلوا إن كنتم مسلمين وَقَالَ مُوسَى يَا قَوْمِ إِن كُنتُمْ آمَنتُم بِاللّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُواْ إِن كُنتُم مُّسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اے میری قوم! اگر تم اللہ پر ایمان لائے ہو تو اسی پر توکل کرو، اگر تم (واقعی) مسلمان ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Moses said: "O my people! If ye do (really) believe in Allah, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His)."

| Words | |وقال - And Musa said,| موسى - And Musa said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| إن - If| كنتم - you have| آمنتم - believed| بالله - in Allah,| فعليه - then on Him| توكلوا - put your trust,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مسلمين - Muslims."| | ||||||
| 25. [10:85] | Faqaloo AAala Allahitawakkalna rabbana la tajAAalnafitnatan lilqawmi alththalimeena | فقالوا على الله توكلنا ربنا لا تجعلنا فتنة للقوم الظالمين فَقَالُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو انہوں نے عرض کیا: ہم نے اللہ ہی پر توکل کیا ہے، اے ہمارے رب! تو ہمیں ظالم لوگوں کے لئے نشانہء ستم نہ بنا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "In Allah do we put out trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practise oppression;

| Words | |فقالوا - Then they said,| على - "Upon| الله - Allah| توكلنا - we put our trust.| ربنا - Our Lord!| لا - (Do) not| تجعلنا - make us| فتنة - a trial| للقوم - for the people -| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 26. [10:86] | Wanajjina birahmatika minaalqawmi alkafireena | ونجنا برحمتك من القوم الكافرين وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تو ہمیں اپنی رحمت سے کافروں کی قوم (کے تسلّط) سے نجات بخش دے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And deliver us by Thy Mercy from those who reject (Thee)."
| ||||||
| Words | |ونجنا - And save us| برحمتك - by Your Mercy| من - from| القوم - the people -| الكافرين - the disbelievers."| | ||||||
| 27. [10:87] | Waawhayna ila moosawaakheehi an tabawwaa liqawmikuma bimisrabuyootan waijAAaloo buyootakum qiblatan waaqeemoo alssalatawabashshiri almu/mineena | وأوحينا إلى موسى وأخيه أن تبوآ لقومكما بمصر بيوتا واجعلوا بيوتكم قبلة وأقيموا الصلاة وبشر المؤمنين وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى وَأَخِيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتًا وَاجْعَلُواْ بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَةً وَأَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) اور ان کے بھائی کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ تم دونوں مصر (کے شہر) میں اپنی قوم کے لئے چند مکانات تیار کرو اور اپنے (ان) گھروں کو (نماز کی ادائیگی کے لئے) قبلہ رخ بناؤ اور (پھر) نماز قائم کرو، اور ایمان والوں کو (فتح و نصرت کی) خوشخبری سنا دو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We inspired Moses and his brother with this Message: "Provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, make your dwellings into places of worship, and establish regular prayers: and give glad tidings to those who believe!"

| Words | |وأوحينا - And We inspired| إلى - to| موسى - Musa| وأخيه - and his brother| أن - that,| تبوآ - "Settle| لقومكما - your people| بمصر - in Egypt| بيوتا - (in) houses,| واجعلوا - and make| بيوتكم - your houses| قبلة - (as) places of worship,| وأقيموا - and establish| الصلاة - the prayer.| وبشر - And give glad tidings| المؤمنين - (to) the believers."| | ||||||
| 28. [10:89] | Qala qad ojeebat daAAwatukumafaistaqeema wala tattabiAAannisabeela allatheena la yaAAlamoona | قال قد أجيبت دعوتكما فاستقيما ولا تتبعان سبيل الذين لا يعلمون قَالَ قَدْ أُجِيبَت دَّعْوَتُكُمَا فَاسْتَقِيمَا وَلاَ تَتَّبِعَآنِّ سَبِيلَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد ہوا: بیشک تم دونوں کی دعا قبول کرلی گئی، سو تم دونوں ثابت قدم رہنا اور ایسے لوگوں کے راستہ کی پیروی نہ کرنا جو علم نہیں رکھتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Allah said: "Accepted is your prayer (O Moses and Aaron)! So stand ye straight, and follow not the path of those who know not."

| Words | |قال - He said,| قد - "Verily,| أجيبت - has been answered| دعوتكما - (the) invocation of both of you.| فاستقيما - So you two (keep to the) straight way.| ولا - And (do) not| تتبعان - follow| سبيل - (the) way| الذين - (of) those who| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know."| | ||||||
| 29. [10:88] | Waqala moosa rabbanainnaka atayta firAAawna wamalaahu zeenatan waamwalanfee alhayati alddunya rabbanaliyudilloo AAan sabeelika rabbana itmis AAalaamwalihim waoshdud AAala quloobihim falayu/minoo hatta yarawoo alAAathaba al-aleema | وقال موسى ربنا إنك آتيت فرعون وملأه زينة وأموالا في الحياة الدنيا ربنا ليضلوا عن سبيلك ربنا اطمس على أموالهم واشدد على قلوبهم فلا يؤمنوا حتى يروا العذاب الأليم وَقَالَ مُوسَى رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ آتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَأَهُ زِينَةً وَأَمْوَالاً فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِكَ رَبَّنَا اطْمِسْ عَلَى أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاشْدُدْ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَلاَ يُؤْمِنُواْ حَتَّى يَرَوُاْ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اے ہمارے رب! بیشک تو نے فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کو دنیوی زندگی میں اسبابِ زینت اور مال و دولت (کی کثرت) دے رکھی ہے، اے ہمارے رب! (کیا تو نے انہیں یہ سب کچھ اس لئے دیا ہے) تاکہ وہ (لوگوں کو کبھی لالچ اور کبھی خوف دلا کر) تیری راہ سے بہکا دیں۔ اے ہمارے رب! تو ان کی دولتوں کو برباد کردے اور ان کے دلوں کو (اتنا) سخت کردے کہ وہ پھر بھی ایمان نہ لائیں حتٰی کہ وہ دردناک عذاب دیکھ لیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Moses prayed: "Our Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the present, and so, Our Lord, they mislead (men) from Thy Path. Deface our Lord, the features of their wealth, and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous penalty."

| Words | |وقال - And Musa said,| موسى - And Musa said,| ربنا - "Our Lord!| إنك - Indeed, You| آتيت - have given| فرعون - Firaun| وملأه - and his chiefs| زينة - splendor| وأموالا - and wealth| في - in| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world.| ربنا - Our Lord!| ليضلوا - That they may lead astray| عن - from| سبيلك - Your way.| ربنا - Our Lord!| اطمس - Destroy| على - [on]| أموالهم - their wealth| واشدد - and harden| على - [on]| قلوبهم - their hearts,| فلا - so (that) not| يؤمنوا - they believe| حتى - until| يروا - they see| العذاب - the punishment -| الأليم - the painful."| | ||||||
| 30. [10:90] | Wajawazna bibanee isra-eelaalbahra faatbaAAahum firAAawnu wajunooduhu baghyanwaAAadwan hatta itha adrakahu algharaqu qalaamantu annahu la ilaha illa allatheeamanat bihi banoo isra-eela waana minaalmuslimeena | وجاوزنا ببني إسرائيل البحر فأتبعهم فرعون وجنوده بغيا وعدوا حتى إذا أدركه الغرق قال آمنت أنه لا إله إلا الذي آمنت به بنو إسرائيل وأنا من المسلمين وَجَاوَزْنَا بِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْبَحْرَ فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُودُهُ بَغْيًا وَعَدْوًا حَتَّى إِذَا أَدْرَكَهُ الْغَرَقُ قَالَ آمَنتُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلِـهَ إِلاَّ الَّذِي آمَنَتْ بِهِ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ وَأَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم بنی اسرائیل کو دریا کے پار لے گئے پس فرعون اوراس کے لشکر نے سرکشی اور ظلم و تعدّی سے ان کا تعاقب کیا، یہاں تک کہ جب اسے (یعنی فرعون کو) ڈوبنے نے آلیا وہ کہنے لگا: میں اس پر ایمان لے آیا کہ کوئی معبود نہیں سوائے اس (معبود) کے جس پر بنی اسرائیل ایمان لائے ہیں اور میں (اب) مسلمانوں میں سے ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)."

| Words | |وجاوزنا - And We took across| ببني - (the) Children| إسرائيل - (of) Israel -| البحر - the sea,| فأتبعهم - and followed them| فرعون - Firaun| وجنوده - and his hosts| بغيا - (in) rebellion| وعدوا - and enmity,| حتى - until| إذا - when| أدركه - overtook him| الغرق - the drowning,| قال - he said,| آمنت - "I believe| أنه - that| لا - (there is) no| إله - god| إلا - except| الذي - the One,| آمنت - in Whom believe| به - in Whom believe| بنو - the Children of Israel,| إسرائيل - the Children of Israel,| وأنا - and I am| من - of| المسلمين - the Muslims."| | ||||||
