Qul la amliku linafsee darranwala nafAAan illa ma shaa Allahulikulli ommatin ajalun itha jaa ajaluhum falayasta/khiroona saAAatan wala yastaqdimoona قل لا أملك لنفسي ضرا ولا نفعا إلا ما شاء الله لكل أمة أجل إذا جاء أجلهم فلا يستأخرون ساعة ولا يستقدمون
قُل لاَّ أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي ضَرًّا وَلاَ نَفْعًا إِلاَّ مَا شَاءَ اللّهُ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَلاَ يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلاَ يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
Tahir ul Qadri

  فرما دیجئے: میں اپنی ذات کے لئے نہ کسی نقصان کا مالک ہوں اور نہ نفع کا، مگر جس قدر اللہ چاہے۔ ہر امت کے لئے ایک میعاد (مقرر) ہے، جب ان کی (مقررہ) میعاد آپہنچتی ہے تو وہ نہ ایک گھڑی پیچھے ہٹ سکتے ہیں اور نہ آگے بڑھ سکتے ہیں

Yousuf AliSay: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)."

Ahmed Aliکہہ دومیں اپنی ذات کے برے اور بھلے کا بھی مالک نہیں مگر جو الله چاہے ہر امت کا ایک وقت مقرر ہے جب وہ وقت آتا ہے تو ایک گھڑی بھی دیر نہیں کر سکتےہیں اور نہ جلدی کر سکتے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khanتم فرماؤ میں اپنی جان کے برے بھلے کا (ذاتی) اختیار نہیں رکھتا مگر جو اللہ چاہے ہر گروہ کا ایک وعدہ ہے جب ان کا وعدہ آئے گا تو ایک گھڑی نہ پیچھے ہٹیں نہ آگے بڑھیں،
Shabbir Ahmed کہو (ان سے) کہ نہیں اختیار رکھتا میں اپنی ذات کے لیے بھی کسی نقصان کا اور نہ فائدے کا مگر وہ جو چاہے اللہ۔ ہر اُمت کی ایک مُدّت (مہلت) مقّرر ہے۔ جب آجاتا ہے اُن کا وقتِ مقّرر تو نہیں پیچھے رہ سکتے وہ ایک گھڑی بھر اور نہ آگے بڑھ سکتے ہیں۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyکہہ دو کہ میں اپنے نقصان اور فائدے کا بھی کچھ اختیار نہیں رکھتا۔ مگر جو خدا چاہے۔ ہر ایک امت کے لیے (موت کا) ایک وقت مقرر ہے۔ جب وہ وقت آجاتا ہے تو ایک گھڑی بھی دیر نہیں کرسکتے اور نہ جلدی کرسکتے ہیں
Mehmood Al Hassanتو کہہ میں مالک نہیں اپنے واسطے برے کا نہ بھلے کا مگر جو چاہے اللہ ہر فرقہ کا ایک وعدہ ہے جب آ پہنچے گا ان کا وعدہ پھر نہ پیچھے سرک سکیں گے ایک گھڑی اور نہ آگے سرک سکیں گے
Abul Ala Maududiکہو “میرے اختیار میں خود اپنا نفع و ضرر بھی نہیں، سب کچھ اللہ کی مشیّت پر موقوف ہے ہر امّت کے لیے مُہلت کی ایک مدّت ہے، جب یہ مدّت پُوری ہو جاتی ہے تو گھڑی بھر کی تقدیم و تاخیر بھی نہیں ہوتی"

Sarwar(Muhammad), tell them, "I have no control over my suffering or benefits unless God wills. Every nation is destined to live for an appointed time. They can neither delay that time nor can they cause it to come sooner.
H/K/SaheehSay, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allah should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]."

Khalifa**Say, "I possess no power to harm myself, or benefit myself; only what GOD wills takes place." Each community has a predetermined life span. Once their interim comes to an end, they cannot delay it by one hour, nor advance it.
Hilali/Khan**Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except what Allah may will. For every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a term appointed; when their term is reached, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment)." (Tafsir Al-Qurtubee).
