Wajaoo AAala qameesihibidamin kathibin qala bal sawwalat lakum anfusukumamran fasabrun jameelun waAllahu almustaAAanuAAala ma tasifoona وجاءوا على قميصه بدم كذب قال بل سولت لكم أنفسكم أمرا فصبر جميل والله المستعان على ما تصفون
وَجَآؤُوا عَلَى قَمِيصِهِ بِدَمٍ كَذِبٍ قَالَ بَلْ سَوَّلَتْ لَكُمْ أَنفُسُكُمْ أَمْرًا فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ وَاللّهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَى مَا تَصِفُونَ

  اور وہ اس کے قمیض پر جھوٹا خون (بھی) لگا کر لے آئے، (یعقوب علیہ السلام نے) کہا: (حقیقت یہ نہیں ہے) بلکہ تمہارے (حاسد) نفسوں نے ایک (بہت بڑا) کام تمہارے لئے آسان اور خوشگوار بنا دیا (جو تم نے کر ڈالا)، پس (اس حادثہ پر) صبر ہی بہتر ہے، اور اﷲ ہی سے مدد چاہتا ہوں اس پر جو کچھ تم بیان کر رہے ہو

Ahmed Aliاور اسی کے کرتے پر جھوٹ موٹ کا خون بھی لگا لائے اس نے کہا نہیں بلکہ تم نے دل سے ایک بات بنائی ہے اب صبر ہی بہتر ہے اورالله ہی سے مدد مانگتا ہوں اس بات پر جو تم بیان کر تے ہو

Abul Ala Maududiاور وہ یوسفؑ کے قمیص پر جھوٹ موٹ کا خون لگا کر آئے تھے یہ سن کر ان کے باپ نے کہا "بلکہ تمہارے نفس نے تمہارے لیے ایک بڑے کام کو آسان بنا دیا اچھا، صبر کروں گا اور بخوبی کروں گا، جو بات تم بنا رہے ہو اس پر اللہ ہی سے مدد مانگی جا سکتی ہے"

Arberry And they brought his shirt with false blood on it. He said, 'No; but your spirits tempted you to do somewhat. But come, sweet patience! And God's succour is ever there to seek against that you describe.'
ShakirAnd they brought his shirt with false blood upon it. He said: Nay, your souls have made the matter light for you, but patience is good and Allah is He Whose help is sought for against what you describe.
