Ya sahibayi alssijniamma ahadukuma fayasqee rabbahu khamranwaamma al-akharu fayuslabu fata/kulu alttayrumin ra/sihi qudiya al-amru allathee feehi tastaftiyani يا صاحبي السجن أما أحدكما فيسقي ربه خمرا وأما الآخر فيصلب فتأكل الطير من رأسه قضي الأمر الذي فيه تستفتيان
يَا صَاحِبَيِ السِّجْنِ أَمَّا أَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسْقِي رَبَّهُ خَمْرًا وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَيُصْلَبُ فَتَأْكُلُ الطَّيْرُ مِن رَّأْسِهِ قُضِيَ الأَمْرُ الَّذِي فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ

  اے میرے قید خانہ کے دونوں ساتھیو! تم میں سے ایک (کے خواب کی تعبیر یہ ہے کہ وہ) اپنے مربّی (یعنی بادشاہ) کو شراب پلایا کرے گا، اور رہا دوسرا (جس نے سر پر روٹیاں دیکھی ہیں) تو وہ پھانسی دیا جائے گا پھر پرندے اس کے سر سے (گوشت نوچ کر) کھائیں گے، (قطعی) فیصلہ کر دیا گیا جس کے بارے میں تم دریافت کرتے ہو

Ahmed Aliاے قید خانہ کے رفیقو تم دونوں میں سے ایک جو ہے وہ اپنے آقا کو شراب پلائے گا جو دوسرا ہے وہ سولی دیا جائے گا پھر اس کے سر میں سے پرندے کھائیں گے اس کام کا فیصلہ ہو گیا ہے جس کی تم تحقیق چاہتے تھے
Ahmed Raza Khanاے قید خانہ کے دونوں ساتھیو! تم میں ایک تو اپنے رب (بادشاہ) کو شراب پلائے گا رہا دوسرا وہ سو ُلی دیا جائے گا تو پرندے اس کا سر کھائیں گے حکم ہوچکا اس بات کا جس کا تم سوال کرتے تھے
Shabbir Ahmed اے میرے قید خانہ کے رفیقو! ایک تو تم میں سے پلائے گا اپنے ٓآقا کو شراب اور رہا دوسرا تو اُسے سُولی پر چڑھایا جائے گا پھر کھائیں گے پرندے اس کے سر کو (نوچ نوچ کر)۔ فیصلہ ہو چُکا ہے اس بات کا جس کے بارے میں تم پُوچھ رہے تھے۔

Mehmood Al Hassanاے رفیقو قید خانہ کے ایک جو ہے تم دونوں میں سو پلائے گا اپنے خاوند (مالک) کو شراب اور دوسرا جو ہے سو سولی دیا جائے گا (چڑھے گا) پھر کھائیں گے جانور اس کے سر میں سے فیصل ہوا وہ کام جس کی تحقیق تم چاہتے تھے
Abul Ala Maududiاے زنداں کے ساتھیو، تمہارے خواب کی تعبیر یہ ہے کہ تم میں سے ایک تو اپنے رب (شاہ مصر) کو شراب پلائے گا، رہا دوسرا تو اسے سولی پر چڑھایا جائے گا اور پرندے اس کا سر نوچ نوچ کر کھائیں گے فیصلہ ہو گیا اُس بات کا جو تم پوچھ رہے تھے"
