Walamma fatahoo mataAAahumwajadoo bidaAAatahum ruddat ilayhim qaloo yaabana ma nabghee hathihi bidaAAatunaruddat ilayna wanameeru ahlana wanahfathuakhana wanazdadu kayla baAAeerin thalikakaylun yaseerun ولما فتحوا متاعهم وجدوا بضاعتهم ردت إليهم قالوا يا أبانا ما نبغي هذه بضاعتنا ردت إلينا ونمير أهلنا ونحفظ أخانا ونزداد كيل بعير ذلك كيل يسير
وَلَمَّا فَتَحُواْ مَتَاعَهُمْ وَجَدُواْ بِضَاعَتَهُمْ رُدَّتْ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالُواْ يَا أَبَانَا مَا نَبْغِي هَـذِهِ بِضَاعَتُنَا رُدَّتْ إِلَيْنَا وَنَمِيرُ أَهْلَنَا وَنَحْفَظُ أَخَانَا وَنَزْدَادُ كَيْلَ بَعِيرٍ ذَلِكَ كَيْلٌ يَسِيرٌ

  جب انہوں نے اپنا سامان کھولا (تو اس میں) اپنی رقم پائی (جو) انہیں لوٹا دی گئی تھی، وہ کہنے لگے: اے ہمارے والد گرامی! ہمیں اور کیا چاہئے؟ یہ ہماری رقم (بھی) ہماری طرف لوٹا دی گئی ہے اور (اب تو) ہم اپنے گھر والوں کے لئے (ضرور ہی) غلہ لائیں گے اور ہم اپنے بھائی کی حفاظت کریں گے اور ایک اونٹ کا بوجھ اور زیادہ لائیں گے، اور یہ (غلہ جو ہم پہلے لائے ہیں) تھوڑی مقدار (میں) ہے

Yousuf AliThen when they opened their baggage, they found their stock-in-trade had been returned to them. They said: "O our father! What (more) can we desire? this our stock-in-trade has been returned to us: so we shall get (more) food for our family; We shall take care of our brother; and add (at the same time) a full camel's load (of grain to our provisions). This is but a small quantity.

Ahmed Aliاورجب انہوں نے اپنا اسباب کھولا انہوں نے اپنی پونجی پائی جو انہیں واپس کر دی گئی تھی کہا اے ہمارے باپ! ہمیں اور کیا چاہیئے یہ ہماری پونجی ہمیں واپس کر دی گئی ہے اور اپنے گھر والوں کے لیے غلہ لائیں گے او راپنے بھائی کی حفاظت کریں گے اور ایک اونٹ کا بوجھ اور زیادہ لائیں گے اور یہ بوجھ ملنا آسان ہے

Shabbir Ahmed اور جب کھولا اُنہوں نے اپنا سامان (اور) پائی اُنہوں نے اپنی نقدی جو لوٹا دی گئی تھی ان کی طرف تو انہوں نے کہا ابّا جان! ہمیں اور کیا چاہیے۔ یہ رہی ہماری نقدی جو لوٹادی گئی ہے ہماری طرف اور رسد لے کر آئیں گے ہم اپنے گھر والوں کے لیے اور حفاظت کریں گے اپنے بھائی کی اور زیادہ ملے گا ایک اُونٹ بھر غلّہ، یہ غلّہ مفت کا ہوگا۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyاور جب انہوں نے اپنا اسباب کھولا تو دیکھا کہ ان کا سرمایہ واپس کر دیا گیا ہے۔ کہنے لگے ابّا ہمیں (اور) کیا چاہیئے (دیکھیے) یہ ہماری پونجی بھی ہمیں واپس کر دی گئی ہے۔ اب ہم اپنے اہل وعیال کے لیے پھر غلّہ لائیں گے اور اپنے بھائی کی نگہبانی کریں گے اور ایک بار شتر زیادہ لائیں گے (کہ) یہ غلّہ جو ہم لائے ہیں تھوڑا ہے

Abul Ala Maududiپھر جب انہوں نے اپنا سامان کھولا تو دیکھا کہ ان کا مال بھی انہیں واپس کر دیا گیا ہے یہ دیکھ کر وہ پکار اٹھے "ابا جان، اور ہمیں کیا چاہیے، دیکھیے یہ ہمارا مال بھی ہمیں واپس دے دیا گیا ہے بس اب ہم جائیں گے اور اپنے اہل و عیال کے لیے رسد لے آئیں گے، اپنے بھائی کی حفاظت بھی کریں گے اور ایک بارشتر اور زیادہ بھی لے آئیں گے، اتنے غلہ کا اضافہ آسانی کے ساتھ ہو جائے گا"

Arberry And when they opened their things, they found their merchandise, restored to them. 'Father,' they said, 'what more should we desire? See, our merchandise here is restored to us. We shall get provision for our family, and we shall be watching over our brother; we shall obtain an extra camel's load -- that is an easy measure.
ShakirAnd when they opened their goods, they found their money returned to them. They said: O our father! what (more) can we desire? This is our property returned to us, and we will bring corn for our family and guard our brother, and will have in addition the measure of a camel (load); this is an easy measure.
SarwarWhen they opened their baggage, they found that their money had been returned to them. They said, "Father, what more do we want? Our money has been given back to us. We can buy more provisions with this for our family. We shall protect our brother and have one more camel load of grain which is easy to get".

This, our money has been returned to us, so we shall get (more) food for our family, and we shall guard our brother and add one more measure of a camels load. This quantity is easy (for the king to give)."
