| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [13:30] | Kathalika arsalnaka feeommatin qad khalat min qabliha omamun litatluwa AAalayhimuallathee awhayna ilayka wahum yakfuroona bialrrahmaniqul huwa rabbee la ilaha illa huwa AAalayhitawakkaltu wa-ilayhi matabi |  كذلك أرسلناك في أمة قد خلت من قبلها أمم لتتلو عليهم الذي أوحينا إليك وهم يكفرون بالرحمن قل هو ربي لا إله إلا هو عليه توكلت وإليه متابكَذَلِكَ أَرْسَلْنَاكَ فِي أُمَّةٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهَا أُمَمٌ لِّتَتْلُوَاْ عَلَيْهِمُ الَّذِيَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِالرَّحْمَـنِ قُلْ هُوَ رَبِّي لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ مَتَابِ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیب!) اسی طرح ہم نے آپ کو ایسی امت میں (رسول بنا کر) بھیجا ہے کہ جس سے پہلے حقیقت میں (ساری) امتیں گزر چکی ہیں (اب یہ سب سے آخری امت ہے) تاکہ آپ ان پر وہ (کتاب) پڑھ کر سنا دیں جو ہم نے آپ کی طرف وحی کی ہے اور وہ رحمان کا انکار کر رہے ہیں، آپ فرما دیجئے: وہ میرا رب ہے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، اس پر میں نے بھروسہ کیا ہے اور اسی کی طرف میرا رجوع ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Thus have we sent thee amongst a People before whom (long since) have (other) Peoples (gone and) passed away; in order that thou mightest rehearse unto them what We send down unto thee by inspiration; yet do they reject (Him), the Most Gracious! Say: "He is my Lord! There is no god but He! On Him is my trust, and to Him do I turn!"

[13:32] | Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablikafaamlaytu lillatheena kafaroo thumma akhathtuhumfakayfa kana AAiqabi | ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فأمليت للذين كفروا ثم أخذتهم فكيف كان عقاب وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِىءَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک آپ سے قبل (بھی کفار کی جانب سے) رسولوں کے ساتھ مذاق کیا جاتا رہا سو میں نے کافروں کو مہلت دی پھر میں نے انہیں (عذاب کی) گرفت میں لے لیا۔ پھر (دیکھئے) میرا عذاب کیسا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Mocked were (many) messengers before thee: but I granted respite to the unbelievers, and finally I punished them: Then how (terrible) was my requital!

[13:34] | Lahum AAathabun fee alhayatialddunya walaAAathabu al-akhiratiashaqqu wama lahum mina Allahi min waqin | لهم عذاب في الحياة الدنيا ولعذاب الآخرة أشق وما لهم من الله من واق لَّهُمْ عَذَابٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَشَقُّ وَمَا لَهُم مِّنَ اللّهِ مِن وَاقٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان کے لئے دنیوی زندگی میں (بھی) عذاب ہے اور یقیناً آخرت کا عذاب زیادہ سخت ہے، اور انہیں اﷲ (کے عذاب) سے کوئی بچانے والا نہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For them is a penalty in the life of this world, but harder, truly, is the penalty of the Hereafter: and defender have they none against Allah.

[13:33] | Afaman huwa qa-imun AAalakulli nafsin bima kasabat wajaAAaloo lillahi shurakaaqul sammoohum am tunabbi-oonahu bima la yaAAlamufee al-ardi am bithahirin minaalqawli bal zuyyina lillatheena kafaroo makruhum wasuddooAAani alssabeeli waman yudlili Allahu famalahu min hadin | أفمن هو قائم على كل نفس بما كسبت وجعلوا لله شركاء قل سموهم أم تنبئونه بما لا يعلم في الأرض أم بظاهر من القول بل زين للذين كفروا مكرهم وصدوا عن السبيل ومن يضلل الله فما له من هاد أَفَمَنْ هُوَ قَآئِمٌ عَلَى كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَجَعَلُواْ لِلّهِ شُرَكَاءَ قُلْ سَمُّوهُمْ أَمْ تُنَبِّئُونَهُ بِمَا لاَ يَعْلَمُ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَم بِظَاهِرٍ مِّنَ الْقَوْلِ بَلْ زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مَكْرُهُمْ وَصُدُّواْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ اللّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا وہ (اﷲ) جو ہر جان پر اس کے اعمال کی نگہبانی فرما رہا ہے اور (وہ بت جو کافر) لوگوں نے اﷲ کے شریک بنا لئے (ایک جیسے ہو سکتے ہیں؟ ہرگز نہیں)۔ آپ فرما دیجئے کہ ان کے نام (تو) بتاؤ۔ (نادانو!) کیا تم اس (اﷲ) کو اس چیز کی خبر دیتے ہو جس (کے وجود) کو وہ ساری زمین میں نہیں جانتا یا (یہ صرف) ظاہری باتیں ہی ہیں (جن کا حقیقت سے کوئی تعلق نہیں) بلکہ (حقیقت یہ ہے کہ) کافروں کے لئے ان کا فریب خوش نما بنا دیا گیا ہے اور وہ (سیدھی) راہ سے روک دیئے گئے ہیں، اور جسے اﷲ گمراہ ٹھہرا دے تو اس کے لئے کوئی ہادی نہیں ہو سکتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Is then He who standeth over every soul (and knoweth) all that it doth, (like any others)? And yet they ascribe partners to Allah. Say: "But name them! is it that ye will inform Him of something he knoweth not on earth, or is it (just) a show of words?" Nay! to those who believe not, their pretence seems pleasing, but they are kept back (thereby) from the path. And those whom Allah leaves to stray, no one can guide.

[13:35] | Mathalu aljannati allatee wuAAidaalmuttaqoona tajree min tahtiha al-anharuokuluha da-imun wathilluhatilka AAuqba allatheena ittaqaw waAAuqba alkafireenaalnnaru | مثل الجنة التي وعد المتقون تجري من تحتها الأنهار أكلها دائم وظلها تلك عقبى الذين اتقوا وعقبى الكافرين النار مَّثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ أُكُلُهَا دَآئِمٌ وِظِلُّهَا تِلْكَ عُقْبَى الَّذِينَ اتَّقَواْ وَّعُقْبَى الْكَافِرِينَ النَّارُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس جنت کا حال جس کا پرہیزگاروں سے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے (یہ ہے) کہ اس کے نیچے سے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں، اس کا پھل بھی ہمیشہ رہنے والا ہے اور اس کا سایہ (بھی)، یہ ان لوگوں کا (حسنِ) انجام ہے جنہوں نے تقوٰی اختیار کیا، اور کافروں کا انجام آتشِ دوزخ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised!- beneath it flow rivers: perpetual is the enjoyment thereof and the shade therein: such is the end of the Righteous; and the end of Unbelievers in the Fire.

| 6. [13:39] | Yamhoo Allahu ma yashaowayuthbitu waAAindahu ommu alkitabi | يمحو الله ما يشاء ويثبت وعنده أم الكتاب يَمْحُو اللّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيُثْبِتُ وَعِندَهُ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اﷲ جس (لکھے ہوئے) کو چاہتا ہے مٹا دیتا ہے اور (جسے چاہتا ہے) ثبت فرما دیتا ہے، اور اسی کے پاس اصل کتاب (لوحِ محفوظ) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Allah doth blot out or confirm what He pleaseth: with Him is the Mother of the Book.

[13:36] | Waallatheena ataynahumualkitaba yafrahoona bima onzila ilaykawamina al-ahzabi man yunkiru baAAdahu qulinnama omirtu an aAAbuda Allaha wala oshrikabihi ilayhi adAAoo wa-ilayhi maabi | والذين آتيناهم الكتاب يفرحون بما أنزل إليك ومن الأحزاب من ينكر بعضه قل إنما أمرت أن أعبد الله ولا أشرك به إليه أدعو وإليه مآب وَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمِنَ الْأَحْزَابِ مَن يُنكِرُ بَعْضَهُ قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ اللّهَ وَلاَ أُشْرِكَ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ أَدْعُو وَإِلَيْهِ مَآبِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جن لوگوں کو ہم کتاب (تورات) دے چکے ہیں (اگر وہ صحیح مومن ہیں تو) وہ اس (قرآن) سے خوش ہوتے ہیں جو آپ کی طرف نازل کیا گیا ہے اور ان (ہی کے) فرقوں میں سے بعض ایسے بھی ہیں جو اس کے کچھ حصہ کا انکار کرتے ہیں، فرما دیجئے کہ بس مجھے تو یہی حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں اﷲ کی عبادت کروں اور اس کے ساتھ (کسی کو) شریک نہ ٹھہراؤں، اسی کی طرف میں بلاتا ہوں اور اسی کی طرف مجھے لوٹ کر جانا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those to whom We have given the Book rejoice at what hath been revealed unto thee: but there are among the clans those who reject a part thereof. Say: "I am commanded to worship Allah, and not to join partners with Him. Unto Him do I call, and unto Him is my return."

| Words | |والذين - And those (to) whom| آتيناهم - We have given them| الكتاب - the Book,| يفرحون - rejoice| بما - at what| أنزل - has been revealed| إليك - to you,| ومن - but among| الأحزاب - the groups| من - (those) who| ينكر - deny| بعضه - a part of it.| قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| أمرت - I have been commanded| أن - that| أعبد - I worship| الله - Allah,| ولا - and not| أشرك - I associate partners| به - with Him.| إليه - To Him| أدعو - I call| وإليه - and to Him| مآب - (is) my return."| | ||||||

[13:40] | Wa-in ma nuriyannaka baAAdaallathee naAAiduhum aw natawaffayannaka fa-innamaAAalayka albalaghu waAAalayna alhisabu | وإن ما نرينك بعض الذي نعدهم أو نتوفينك فإنما عليك البلاغ وعلينا الحساب وَإِن مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر ہم (اس عذاب کا) کچھ حصہ جس کا ہم نے ان (کافروں) سے وعدہ کیا ہے آپ کو (حیاتِ ظاہری میں ہی) دکھا دیں یا ہم آپ کو (اس سے قبل) اٹھا لیں (یہ دونوں چیزیں ہماری مرضی پر منحصر ہیں) آپ پر تو صرف (احکام کے) پہنچا دینے کی ذمہ داری ہے اور حساب لینا ہمارا کام ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Whether We shall show thee (within thy life-time) part of what we promised them or take to ourselves thy soul (before it is all accomplished),- thy duty is to make (the Message) reach them: it is our part to call them to account.

[13:37] | Wakathalika anzalnahu hukmanAAarabiyyan wala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda majaaka mina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi minwaliyyin wala waqin | وكذلك أنزلناه حكما عربيا ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعدما جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا واق وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّا وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ وَاقٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسی طرح ہم نے اس (قرآن) کو حکم بنا کر عربی زبان میں اتارا ہے، اور (اے سننے والے!) اگر تو نے ان (کافروں) کی خواہشات کی پیروی کی اس کے بعد کہ تیرے پاس (قطعی) علم آچکا ہے تو تیرے لئے اﷲ کے مقابلہ میں نہ کوئی مددگار ہوگا اور نہ کوئی محافظ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Thus have We revealed it to be a judgment of authority in Arabic. Wert thou to follow their (vain) desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither protector nor defender against Allah.

[13:41] | Awa lam yaraw anna na/tee al-ardananqusuha min atrafiha waAllahuyahkumu la muAAaqqiba lihukmihi wahuwasareeAAu alhisabi | أولم يروا أنا نأتي الأرض ننقصها من أطرافها والله يحكم لا معقب لحكمه وهو سريع الحساب أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا وَاللّهُ يَحْكُمُ لاَ مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِ وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا وہ نہیں دیکھ رہے کہ ہم (ان کے زیرِ تسلّط) زمین کو ہر طرف سے گھٹاتے چلے جا رہے ہیں (اور ان کے بیشتر علاقے رفتہ رفتہ اسلام کے تابع ہوتے جا رہے ہیں)، اور اﷲ ہی حکم فرماتا ہے کوئی بھی اس کے حکم کو ردّ کرنے والا نہیں، اور وہ حساب جلد لینے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? (Where) Allah commands, there is none to put back His Command: and He is swift in calling to account.

[13:38] | Walaqad arsalna rusulan min qablikawajaAAalna lahum azwajan wathurriyyatan wamakana lirasoolin an ya/tiya bi-ayatin illabi-ithni Allahi likulli ajalin kitabun | ولقد أرسلنا رسلا من قبلك وجعلنا لهم أزواجا وذرية وما كان لرسول أن يأتي بآية إلا بإذن الله لكل أجل كتاب وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلاً مِّن قَبْلِكَ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَذُرِّيَّةً وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَن يَأْتِيَ بِآيَةٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ لِكُلِّ أَجَلٍ كِتَابٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے رسول!) بیشک ہم نے آپ سے پہلے (بہت سے) پیغمبروں کو بھیجا اور ہم نے ان کے لئے بیویاں (بھی) بنائیں اور اولاد (بھی)، اور کسی رسول کا یہ کام نہیں کہ وہ نشانی لے آئے مگر اﷲ کے حکم سے، ہر ایک میعاد کے لئے ایک نوشتہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We did send messengers before thee, and appointed for them wives and children: and it was never the part of a messenger to bring a sign except as Allah permitted (or commanded). For each period is a Book (revealed).

[13:43] | Wayaqoolu allatheena kafaroo lastamursalan qul kafa biAllahi shaheedan bayneewabaynakum waman AAindahu AAilmu alkitabi | ويقول الذين كفروا لست مرسلا قل كفى بالله شهيدا بيني وبينكم ومن عنده علم الكتاب وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَسْتَ مُرْسَلاً قُلْ كَفَى بِاللّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِندَهُ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کافر لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ آپ پیغمبر نہیں ہیں، فرما دیجئے: (میری رسالت پر) میرے اور تمہارے درمیان اﷲ بطورِ گواہ کافی ہے اور وہ شخص بھی جس کے پاس (صحیح طور پر آسمانی) کتاب کا علم ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Unbelievers say: "No messenger art thou." Say: "Enough for a witness between me and you is Allah, and such as have knowledge of the Book."

[13:42] | Waqad makara allatheena min qablihimfalillahi almakru jameeAAan yaAAlamu ma taksibukullu nafsin wasayaAAlamu alkuffaru liman AAuqba alddari | وقد مكر الذين من قبلهم فلله المكر جميعا يعلم ما تكسب كل نفس وسيعلم الكفار لمن عقبى الدار وَقَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَلِلّهِ الْمَكْرُ جَمِيعًا يَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الْكُفَّارُ لِمَنْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ان لوگوں نے بھی مکر و فریب کیا تھا جو ان سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں سو ان سب تدبیروں کو توڑنا (بھی) اﷲ کے اختیار میں ہے۔ وہ خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ ہر شخص کما رہا ہے، اور کفّار جلد ہی جان لیں گے کہ آخرت کا گھر کس کے لئے ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those before them did (also) devise plots; but in all things the master-planning is Allah's He knoweth the doings of every soul: and soon will the Unbelievers know who gets home in the end.
