YatajarraAAuhu wala yakaduyuseeghuhu waya/teehi almawtu min kulli makanin wamahuwa bimayyitin wamin wara-ihi AAathabun ghaleethun يتجرعه ولا يكاد يسيغه ويأتيه الموت من كل مكان وما هو بميت ومن ورائه عذاب غليظ
يَتَجَرَّعُهُ وَلاَ يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُ وَيَأْتِيهِ الْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌ

  جسے وہ بمشکل ایک ایک گھونٹ پیئے گا اور اسے حلق سے نیچے اتار نہ سکے گا، اور اسے ہر طرف سے موت آگھیرے گی اور وہ مر (بھی) نہ سے گا، اور (پھر) اس کے پیچھے (ایک اور) بڑا ہی سخت عذاب ہوگا

Yousuf AliIn gulps will he sip it, but never will he be near swallowing it down his throat: death will come to him from every quarter, yet will he not die: and in front of him will be a chastisement unrelenting.

Ahmed Aliجسے گھونٹ گھونٹ پیے گا اور اسے گلےسے نہ اتار سکے گا اور اس پر ہر طرف سے موت آئے گی اور وہ نہیں مرے گا اوراس کے پیچھے سخت عذاب ہوگا

Shabbir Ahmed وہ اسے پینے کی کوشش کرے گا لیکن نہ پی سکے گا اور بڑھے گی اُس کی طرف موت ہر طرف سے لیکن وہ مرنہ سکے گا اور ہوگا اس کے آگے ایک سخت عذاب (اس کا منتظر)۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyوہ اس کو گھونٹ گھونٹ پیئے گا اور گلے سے نہیں اتار سکے گا اور ہر طرف سے اسے موت آرہی ہوگی مگر وہ مرنے میں نہیں آئے گا۔ اور اس کے پیچھے سخت عذاب ہوگا

Abul Ala Maududiجسے وہ زبردستی حلق سے اتارنے کی کوشش کرے گا اور مشکل ہی سے اتار سکے گا موت ہر طرف سے اس پر چھائی رہے گی مگر وہ مرنے نہ پائے گا اور آگے ایک سخت عذاب اس کی جان کا لاگو رہے گا

QXP Shabbir Ahemd**How difficult it is to swallow the bitterness of self-imposed failure! A life unlived, a mere survival, neither living nor dead (20:74), (87:13). What a heavy retribution!
