| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [16:119] | Thumma inna rabbaka lillatheenaAAamiloo alssoo-a bijahalatin thumma taboomin baAAdi thalika waaslahoo inna rabbakamin baAAdiha laghafoorun raheemun |  ثم إن ربك للذين عملوا السوء بجهالة ثم تابوا من بعد ذلك وأصلحوا إن ربك من بعدها لغفور رحيمثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ عَمِلُواْ السُّوءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابُواْ مِن بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُواْ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِن بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر بیشک آپ کا رب ان لوگوں کے لئے جنہوں نے نادانی سے غلطیاں کیں پھر اس کے بعد تائب ہوگئے اور (اپنی) حالت درست کرلی تو بیشک آپ کا رب اس کے بعد بڑا بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But verily thy Lord,- to those who do wrong in ignorance, but who thereafter repent and make amends,- thy Lord, after all this, is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

| 2. [16:122] | Waataynahu fee alddunyahasanatan wa-innahu fee al-akhirati lamina alssaliheena | وآتيناه في الدنيا حسنة وإنه في الآخرة لمن الصالحين وَآتَيْنَاهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے اسے دنیا میں (بھی) بھلائی عطا فرمائی، اور بیشک وہ آخرت میں (بھی) صالحین میں سے ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous.

| 3. [16:123] | Thumma awhayna ilayka aniittabiAA millata ibraheema haneefan wama kanamina almushrikeena | ثم أوحينا إليك أن اتبع ملة إبراهيم حنيفا وما كان من المشركين ثُمَّ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ أَنِ اتَّبِعْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ہم نے آپ کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ آپ ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کے دین کی پیروی کریں جو ہر باطل سے جدا تھے، اور وہ مشرکوں میں سے نہ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah."

| Words | |ثم - Then| أوحينا - We revealed| إليك - to you,| أن - that,| اتبع - "You follow| ملة - (the) religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| حنيفا - upright;| وما - and not| كان - he was| من - of| المشركين - the polytheists."| | ||||||

[16:124] | Innama juAAila alssabtu AAalaallatheena ikhtalafoo feehi wa-inna rabbaka layahkumubaynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehiyakhtalifoona | إنما جعل السبت على الذين اختلفوا فيه وإن ربك ليحكم بينهم يوم القيامة فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ السَّبْتُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہفتہ کا دن صرف انہی لوگوں پر مقرر کیا گیا تھا جنہوں نے اس میں اختلاف کیا، اور بیشک آپ کا رب قیامت کے دن اُن کے درمیان اُن (باتوں) کا فیصلہ فرما دے گا جن میں وہ اختلاف کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Sabbath was only made (strict) for those who disagreed (as to its observance); But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, as to their differences.

[16:125] | OdAAu ila sabeeli rabbika bialhikmatiwaalmawAAithati alhasanati wajadilhumbiallatee hiya ahsanu inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamubiman dalla AAan sabeelihi wahuwa aAAlamu bialmuhtadeena | ادع إلى سبيل ربك بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة وجادلهم بالتي هي أحسن إن ربك هو أعلم بمن ضل عن سبيله وهو أعلم بالمهتدين ادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُم بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے رسولِ معظّم!) آپ اپنے رب کی راہ کی طرف حکمت اور عمدہ نصیحت کے ساتھ بلائیے اور ان سے بحث (بھی) ایسے انداز سے کیجئے جو نہایت حسین ہو، بیشک آپ کا رب اس شخص کو (بھی) خوب جانتا ہے جو اس کی راہ سے بھٹک گیا اور وہ ہدایت یافتہ لوگوں کو (بھی) خوب جانتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.

| 6. [16:126] | Wa-in AAaqabtum faAAaqiboobimithli ma AAooqibtum bihi wala-in sabartum lahuwakhayrun lilssabireena | وإن عاقبتم فعاقبوا بمثل ما عوقبتم به ولئن صبرتم لهو خير للصابرين وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُواْ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُم بِهِ وَلَئِن صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لِّلصَّابِرينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر تم سزا دینا چاہو تو اتنی ہی سزا دو جس قدر تکلیف تمہیں دی گئی تھی، اور اگر تم صبر کرو تو یقیناً وہ صبر کرنے والوں کے لئے بہتر ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And if ye do catch them out, catch them out no worse than they catch you out: But if ye show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient.

| Words | |وإن - And if| عاقبتم - you retaliate,| فعاقبوا - then retaliate| بمثل - with the like| ما - of what| عوقبتم - you were afflicted| به - with [it].| ولئن - But if| صبرتم - you are patient,| لهو - surely (it) is| خير - better| للصابرين - for those who are patient.| | ||||||
| 7. [16:127] | Waisbir wama sabrukailla biAllahi wala tahzanAAalayhim wala taku fee dayqin mimmayamkuroona | واصبر وما صبرك إلا بالله ولا تحزن عليهم ولا تك في ضيق مما يمكرون وَاصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلاَّ بِاللّهِ وَلاَ تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ تَكُ فِي ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) صبر کیجئے اور آپ کا صبر کرنا اللہ ہی کے ساتھ ہے اور آپ ان (کی سرکشی) پر رنجیدہ خاطر نہ ہوا کریں اور آپ ان کی فریب کاریوں سے (اپنے کشادہ سینہ میں) تنگی (بھی) محسوس نہ کیا کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots.

| Words | |واصبر - And be patient| وما - and not| صبرك - (is) your patience| إلا - but| بالله - from Allah.| ولا - And (do) not| تحزن - grieve| عليهم - over them| ولا - and (do) not| تك - be| في - in| ضيق - distress| مما - for what| يمكرون - they plot.| | ||||||
| 8. [16:128] | Inna Allaha maAAa allatheenaittaqaw waallatheena hum muhsinoona | إن الله مع الذين اتقوا والذين هم محسنون إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَواْ وَّالَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اللہ اُن لوگوں کو اپنی معیتِ (خاص) سے نوازتا ہے جو صاحبانِ تقوٰی ہوں اور وہ لوگ جو صاحبانِ اِحسان (بھی) ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For Allah is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good.
