| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [2:74] | Thumma qasat quloobukum min baAAdi thalikafahiya kaalhijarati aw ashaddu qaswatanwa-inna mina alhijarati lama yatafajjaruminhu al-anharu wa-inna minha lamayashshaqqaqu fayakhruju minhu almao wa-inna minhalama yahbitu min khashyati Allahi wamaAllahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona |  ثم قست قلوبكم من بعد ذلك فهي كالحجارة أو أشد قسوة وإن من الحجارة لما يتفجر منه الأنهار وإن منها لما يشقق فيخرج منه الماء وإن منها لما يهبط من خشية الله وما الله بغافل عما تعملونثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُم مِّنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ الأَنْهَارُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَاءُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللّهِ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر اس کے بعد (بھی) تمہارے دل سخت ہوگئے چنانچہ وہ (سختی میں) پتھروں جیسے (ہوگئے) ہیں یا ان سے بھی زیادہ سخت (ہو چکے ہیں، اس لئے کہ) بیشک پتھروں میں (تو) بعض ایسے بھی ہیں جن سے نہریں پھوٹ نکلتی ہیں، اور یقیناً ان میں سے بعض وہ (پتھر) بھی ہیں جو پھٹ جاتے ہیں تو ان سے پانی ابل پڑتا ہے، اور بیشک ان میں سے بعض ایسے بھی ہیں جو اللہ کے خوف سے گر پڑتے ہیں، (افسوس! تمہارے دلوں میں اس قدر نرمی، خستگی اور شکستگی بھی نہیں رہی،) اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں سے بے خبر نہیں | ||||||

For among rocks there are some from which rivers gush forth; others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and others which sink for fear of Allah. They are more compliant to Allah's Laws than the hearts that defy reason. Allah is not unaware of what you do. | ||||||
