| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [2:87] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba waqaffayna min baAAdihi bialrrusuliwaatayna AAeesa ibna maryama albayyinatiwaayyadnahu biroohi alqudusi afakullama jaakumrasoolun bima la tahwa anfusukumuistakbartum fafareeqan kaththabtum wafareeqan taqtuloona |  ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب وقفينا من بعده بالرسل وآتينا عيسى ابن مريم البينات وأيدناه بروح القدس أفكلما جاءكم رسول بما لا تهوى أنفسكم استكبرتم ففريقا كذبتم وفريقا تقتلونوَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَقَفَّيْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ بِالرُّسُلِ وَآتَيْنَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ أَفَكُلَّمَا جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لاَ تَهْوَى أَنفُسُكُمُ اسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ فَفَرِيقاً كَذَّبْتُمْ وَفَرِيقاً تَقْتُلُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کو کتاب (تورات) عطا کی اور ان کے بعد ہم نے پے در پے (بہت سے) پیغمبر بھیجے، اور ہم نے مریم (علیھا السلام) کے فرزند عیسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کو (بھی) روشن نشانیاں عطا کیں اور ہم نے پاک روح کے ذریعے ان کی تائید (اور مدد) کی، تو کیا (ہوا) جب بھی کوئی پیغمبر تمہارے پاس وہ (احکام) لایا جنہیں تمہارے نفس پسند نہیں کرتے تھے تو تم (وہیں) اکڑ گئے اور بعضوں کو تم نے جھٹلایا اور بعضوں کو تم قتل کرنے لگے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!
