| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [21:31] | WajaAAalna fee al-ardi rawasiyaan tameeda bihim wajaAAalna feeha fijajansubulan laAAallahum yahtadoona |  وجعلنا في الأرض رواسي أن تميد بهم وجعلنا فيها فجاجا سبلا لعلهم يهتدونوَجَعَلْنَا فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے زمین میں مضبوط پہاڑ بنا دیئے تاکہ ایسا نہ ہو کہ کہیں وہ (اپنے مدار میں حرکت کرتے ہوئے) انہیں لے کر کانپنے لگے اور ہم نے اس (زمین) میں کشادہ راستے بنائے تاکہ لوگ (مختلف منزلوں تک پہنچنے کے لئے) راہ پاسکیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We have set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with them, and We have made therein broad highways (between mountains) for them to pass through: that they may receive Guidance.

| 2. [21:32] | WajaAAalna alssamaasaqfan mahfoothan wahum AAan ayatihamuAAridoona | وجعلنا السماء سقفا محفوظا وهم عن آياتها معرضون وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا وَهُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے سماء (یعنی زمین کے بالائی کرّوں) کو محفوظ چھت بنایا (تاکہ اہلِ زمین کو خلا سے آنے والی مہلک قوتوں اور جارحانہ لہروں کے مضر اثرات سے بچائیں) اور وہ اِن (سماوی طبقات کی) نشانیوں سے رُوگرداں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We have made the heavens as a canopy well guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)!

| 3. [21:33] | Wahuwa allathee khalaqa allayla waalnnaharawaalshshamsa waalqamara kullun fee falakin yasbahoona | وهو الذي خلق الليل والنهار والشمس والقمر كل في فلك يسبحون وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی (اﷲ) ہے جس نے رات اور دن کو پیدا کیا اور سورج اور چاند کو (بھی)، تمام (آسمانی کرّے) اپنے اپنے مدار کے اندر تیزی سے تیرتے چلے جاتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.

| 4. [21:34] | Wama jaAAalna libasharin minqablika alkhulda afa-in mitta fahumu alkhalidoona | وما جعلنا لبشر من قبلك الخلد أفإن مت فهم الخالدون وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے آپ سے پہلے کسی اِنسان کو (دنیا کی ظاہری زندگی میں) بقائے دوام نہیں بخشی، تو کیا اگر آپ (یہاں سے) اِنتقال فرما جائیں تو یہ لوگ ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We granted not to any man before thee permanent life (here): if then thou shouldst die, would they live permanently?

| Words | |وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| لبشر - for any man| من - before you| قبلك - before you| الخلد - [the] immortality;| أفإن - so if| مت - you die,| فهم - then (would) they| الخالدون - live forever?| | ||||||
| 5. [21:35] | Kullu nafsin tha-iqatu almawtiwanablookum bialshsharri waalkhayri fitnatanwa-ilayna turjaAAoona | كل نفس ذائقة الموت ونبلوكم بالشر والخير فتنة وإلينا ترجعون كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہر جان کو موت کا مزہ چکھنا ہے، اور ہم تمہیں برائی اور بھلائی میں آزمائش کے لئے مبتلا کرتے ہیں، اور تم ہماری ہی طرف پلٹائے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial. to Us must ye return.

| Words | |كل - Every| نفس - soul| ذائقة - (will) taste| الموت - [the] death.| ونبلوكم - And We test you| بالشر - with [the] bad| والخير - and [the] good| فتنة - (as) a trial;| وإلينا - and to Us| ترجعون - you will be returned.| | ||||||

[21:36] | Wa-itha raaka allatheenakafaroo in yattakhithoonaka illa huzuwan ahathaallathee yathkuru alihatakum wahum bithikrialrrahmani hum kafiroona | وإذا رآك الذين كفروا إن يتخذونك إلا هزوا أهذا الذي يذكر آلهتكم وهم بذكر الرحمن هم كافرون وَإِذَا رَآكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب کافر لوگ آپ کو دیکھتے ہیں تو آپ سے محض تمسخر ہی کرنے لگتے ہیں (اور کہتے ہیں:) کیا یہی ہے وہ شخص جو تمہارے معبودوں کا (ردّ و انکار کے ساتھ) ذکر کرتا ہے؟ اور وہ خود (خدائے) رحمان کے ذکر سے انکاری ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this," (they say), "the one who talks of your gods?" and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious!

| Words | |وإذا - And when| رآك - they see you,| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve| إن - not| يتخذونك - they take you| إلا - except| هزوا - (in) ridicule,| أهذا - "Is this| الذي - the one who| يذكر - mentions| آلهتكم - your gods?"| وهم - And they| بذكر - at (the) mention| الرحمن - (of) the Most Gracious| هم - [they]| كافرون - (are) disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 7. [21:37] | Khuliqa al-insanu min AAajalinsaoreekum ayatee fala tastaAAjiloona | خلق الإنسان من عجل سأريكم آياتي فلا تستعجلون خُلِقَ الْإِنسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ سَأُوْرِيكُمْ آيَاتِي فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | انسان (فطرتًا) جلد بازی میں سے پیدا کیا گیا ہے، میں تمہیں جلد ہی اپنی نشانیاں دکھاؤں گا پس تم جلدی کا مطالبہ نہ کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will I show you My Signs; then ye will not ask Me to hasten them!

| 8. [21:38] | Wayaqooloona mata hathaalwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena | ويقولون متى هذا الوعد إن كنتم صادقين وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہ کہتے ہیں: یہ وعدۂ (عذاب) کب (پورا) ہوگا اگر تم سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They say: "When will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?"

| Words | |ويقولون - And they say,| متى - "When (will be fulfilled)| هذا - this| الوعد - promise,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful?"| | ||||||

[21:39] | Law yaAAlamu allatheena kafaroo heenala yakuffoona AAan wujoohihimu alnnara walaAAan thuhoorihim wala hum yunsaroona | لو يعلم الذين كفروا حين لا يكفون عن وجوههم النار ولا عن ظهورهم ولا هم ينصرون لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر کافر لوگ وہ وقت جان لیتے جبکہ وہ (دوزخ کی) آگ کو نہ اپنے چہروں سے روک سکیں گے اور نہ اپنی پشتوں سے اور نہ ہی ان کی مدد کی جائے گی (تو پھر عذاب طلب کرنے میں جلدی کا شور نہ کرتے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them!

| 10. [21:40] | Bal ta/teehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falayastateeAAoona raddaha wala hum yuntharoona | بل تأتيهم بغتة فتبهتهم فلا يستطيعون ردها ولا هم ينظرون بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بلکہ (قیامت) انہیں اچانک آپہنچے گی تو انہیں بدحواس کر دے گی سو وہ نہ تو اسے لوٹا دینے کی طاقت رکھتے ہوں گے اور نہ ہی انہیں مہلت دی جائے گی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite.

| Words | |بل - Nay,| تأتيهم - it will come to them| بغتة - unexpectedly| فتبهتهم - and bewilder them,| فلا - then not| يستطيعون - they will be able| ردها - to repel it,| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينظرون - will be given respite.| | ||||||

[21:41] | Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablika fahaqabiallatheena sakhiroo minhum ma kanoobihi yastahzi-oona | ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فحاق بالذين سخروا منهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک آپ سے پہلے بھی رسولوں کے ساتھ مذاق کیا گیا سو ان لوگوں میں سے انہیں جو تمسخر کرتے تھے اسی (عذاب) نے گھیر لیا جس کا وہ مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Mocked were (many) messenger before thee; But their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| استهزئ - were mocked| برسل - Messengers| من - before you| قبلك - before you| فحاق - then surrounded| بالذين - those who| سخروا - mocked| منهم - from them| ما - what| كانوا - they used| به - at it| يستهزئون - (to) mock.| | ||||||
| 12. [21:42] | Qul man yaklaokum biallayli waalnnaharimina alrrahmani bal hum AAan thikrirabbihim muAAridoona | قل من يكلؤكم بالليل والنهار من الرحمن بل هم عن ذكر ربهم معرضون قُلْ مَن يَكْلَؤُكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ بَلْ هُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: شب و روز (خدائے) رحمان (کے عذاب) سے تمہاری حفاظت و نگہبانی کون کر سکتا ہے، بلکہ وہ اپنے (اسی) رب کے ذکر سے گریزاں ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Who can keep you safe by night and by day from (the Wrath of) (Allah) Most Gracious?" Yet they turn away from the mention of their Lord.

[21:43] | Am lahum alihatun tamnaAAuhum mindoonina la yastateeAAoona nasraanfusihim wala hum minna yushaboona | أم لهم آلهة تمنعهم من دوننا لا يستطيعون نصر أنفسهم ولا هم منا يصحبون أَمْ لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ہمارے سوا ان کے کچھ اور معبود ہیں جو انہیں (عذاب سے) بچا سکیں، وہ تو خود اپنی ہی مدد پر قدرت نہیں رکھتے اور نہ ہماری طرف سے انہیں کوئی تائید و رفاقت میسّر ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Or have they gods that can guard them from Us? They have no power to aid themselves, nor can they be defended from Us.

| 14. [21:45] | Qul innama onthirukum bialwahyiwala yasmaAAu alssummu aldduAAaaitha ma yuntharoona | قل إنما أنذركم بالوحي ولا يسمع الصم الدعاء إذا ما ينذرون قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُنذِرُكُم بِالْوَحْيِ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَاءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: میں تو تمہیں صرف وحی کے ذریعہ ہی ڈراتا ہوں، اور بہرے پکار کو نہیں سنا کرتے جب بھی انہیں ڈرایا جائے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say, "I do but warn you according to revelation": But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned!

| Words | |قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| أنذركم - I warn you| بالوحي - by the revelation."| ولا - But not| يسمع - hear| الصم - the deaf| الدعاء - the call| إذا - when| ما - when| ينذرون - they are warned.| | ||||||
| 15. [21:46] | Wala-in massat-hum nafhatun min AAathabirabbika layaqoolunna ya waylana inna kunnathalimeena | ولئن مستهم نفحة من عذاب ربك ليقولن يا ويلنا إنا كنا ظالمين وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر واقعتاً انہیں آپ کے رب کی طرف سے تھوڑا سا عذاب (بھی) چھو جائے تو وہ ضرور کہنے لگیں گے: ہائے ہماری بدقسمتی! بیشک ہم ہی ظالم تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If but a breath of the Wrath of thy Lord do touch them, they will then say, "Woe to us! we did wrong indeed!"

| Words | |ولئن - And if| مستهم - touches them| نفحة - a whiff| من - of| عذاب - (the) punishment| ربك - (of) your Lord,| ليقولن - surely they will say,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| إنا - Indeed, we| كنا - [we] were| ظالمين - wrongdoers."| | ||||||

[21:44] | Bal mattaAAna haola-iwaabaahum hatta talaAAalayhimu alAAumuru afala yarawna anna na/teeal-arda nanqusuha min atrafihaafahumu alghaliboona | بل متعنا هؤلاء وآباءهم حتى طال عليهم العمر أفلا يرون أنا نأتي الأرض ننقصها من أطرافها أفهم الغالبون بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّى طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا أَفَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بلکہ ہم نے ان کو اور ان کے آباء و اجداد کو (فراخئ عیش سے) بہرہ مند فرمایا تھا یہاں تک کہ ان کی عمریں بھی دراز ہوتی گئیں، تو کیا وہ نہیں دیکھتے کہ ہم (اب اسلامی فتوحات کے ذریعہ ان کے زیرِ تسلّط) علاقوں کو تمام اَطراف سے گھٹاتے چلے جا رہے ہیں، تو کیا وہ (اب) غلبہ پانے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nay, We gave the good things of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them; See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win?

| 17. [21:48] | Walaqad atayna moosawaharoona alfurqana wadiyaan wathikranlilmuttaqeena | ولقد آتينا موسى وهارون الفرقان وضياء وذكرا للمتقين وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ الْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَاءً وَذِكْرًا لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے موسٰی اور ہارون (علیہما السلام) کو (حق و باطل میں) فرق کرنے والی اور (سراپا) روشنی اور پرہیز گاروں کے لئے نصیحت (پر مبنی کتاب تورات) عطا فرمائی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In the past We granted to Moses and Aaron the criterion (for judgment), and a Light and a Message for those who would do right,-

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| وهارون - and Harun| الفرقان - the Criterion| وضياء - and a light| وذكرا - and a Reminder| للمتقين - for the righteous.| | ||||||
| 18. [21:49] | Allatheena yakhshawna rabbahum bialghaybiwahum mina alssaAAati mushfiqoona | الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب وهم من الساعة مشفقون الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ السَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو لوگ اپنے رب سے نادیدہ ڈرتے ہیں اور جو قیامت (کی ہولناکیوں) سے خائف رہتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who fear their Lord in their most secret thoughts, and who hold the Hour (of Judgment) in awe.

| Words | |الذين - Those who| يخشون - fear| ربهم - their Lord| بالغيب - in the unseen,| وهم - and they| من - of| الساعة - the Hour| مشفقون - (are) afraid.| | ||||||

[21:47] | WanadaAAu almawazeena alqistaliyawmi alqiyamati fala tuthlamunafsun shay-an wa-in kana mithqala habbatinmin khardalin atayna biha wakafa binahasibeena | ونضع الموازين القسط ليوم القيامة فلا تظلم نفس شيئا وإن كان مثقال حبة من خردل أتينا بها وكفى بنا حاسبين وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِينَ الْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا وَكَفَى بِنَا حَاسِبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم قیامت کے دن عدل و انصاف کے ترازو رکھ دیں گے سو کسی جان پر کوئی ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا، اور اگر (کسی کا عمل) رائی کے دانہ کے برابر بھی ہوگا (تو) ہم اسے (بھی) حاضر کر دیں گے، اور ہم حساب کرنے کو کافی ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account.

| 20. [21:50] | Wahatha thikrun mubarakunanzalnahu afaantum lahu munkiroona | وهذا ذكر مبارك أنزلناه أفأنتم له منكرون وَهَذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (قرآن) برکت والا ذکر ہے جسے ہم نے نازل فرمایا ہے، کیا تم اِس سے انکار کرنے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And this is a blessed Message which We have sent down: will ye then reject it?

| Words | |وهذا - And this| ذكر - (is) a Reminder| مبارك - blessed,| أنزلناه - which We (have) revealed.| أفأنتم - Then are you| له - of it| منكرون - rejecters?| | ||||||
| 21. [21:51] | Walaqad atayna ibraheemarushdahu min qablu wakunna bihi AAalimeena | ولقد آتينا إبراهيم رشده من قبل وكنا به عالمين وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِه عَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے پہلے سے ہی ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کو ان کے (مرتبہ کے مطابق) فہم و ہدایت دے رکھی تھی اور ہم ان (کی استعداد و اہلیت) کو خوب جاننے والے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We bestowed aforetime on Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were We acquainted with him.

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| رشده - his guidance| من - before,| قبل - before,| وكنا - and We were| به - about him| عالمين - Well-Knowing.| | ||||||
| 22. [21:52] | Ith qala li-abeehi waqawmihi mahathihi alttamatheelu allatee antum lahaAAakifoona | إذ قال لأبيه وقومه ما هذه التماثيل التي أنتم لها عاكفون إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جب انہوں نے اپنے باپ (چچا) اور اپنی قوم سے فرمایا: یہ کیسی مورتیاں ہیں جن (کی پرستش) پر تم جمے بیٹھے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold! he said to his father and his people, "What are these images, to which ye are (so assiduously) devoted?"

| Words | |إذ - When| قال - he said| لأبيه - to his father| وقومه - and his people,| ما - "What| هذه - (are) these| التماثيل - [the] statues| التي - which| أنتم - you| لها - to it| عاكفون - (are) devoted?"| | ||||||
| 23. [21:53] | Qaloo wajadna abaanalaha AAabideena | قالوا وجدنا آباءنا لها عابدين قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا لَهَا عَابِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو انہی کی پرستش کرتے پایا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "We found our fathers worshipping them."
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| وجدنا - "We found| آباءنا - our forefathers| لها - of them| عابدين - worshippers."| | ||||||
| 24. [21:54] | Qala laqad kuntum antum waabaokumfee dalalin mubeenin | قال لقد كنتم أنتم وآباؤكم في ضلال مبين قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنتُمْ أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: بیشک تم اور تمہارے باپ دادا (سب) صریح گمراہی میں تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said, "Indeed ye have been in manifest error - ye and your fathers."

| Words | |قال - He said,| لقد - "Verily,| كنتم - you are| أنتم - [you]| وآباؤكم - and your forefathers| في - (were) in| ضلال - an error| مبين - manifest."| | ||||||
| 25. [21:55] | Qaloo aji/tana bialhaqqiam anta mina allaAAibeena | قالوا أجئتنا بالحق أم أنت من اللاعبين قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ اللَّاعِبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: کیا (صرف) تم ہی حق لائے ہو یا تم (محض) تماشا گروں میں سے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "Have you brought us the Truth, or are you one of those who jest?"

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أجئتنا - "Have you come to us| بالحق - with the truth,| أم - or| أنت - you| من - (are) of| اللاعبين - those who play?"| | ||||||
| 26. [21:56] | Qala bal rabbukum rabbu alssamawatiwaal-ardi allathee fatarahunna waanaAAala thalikum mina alshshahideena | قال بل ربكم رب السماوات والأرض الذي فطرهن وأنا على ذلكم من الشاهدين قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ الَّذِي فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: بلکہ تمہارا رب آسمانوں اور زمین کا رب ہے جس نے ان (سب) کو پیدا فرمایا اور میں اس (بات) پر گواہی دینے والوں میں سے ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said, "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (Truth).

| Words | |قال - He said,| بل - "Nay,| ربكم - your Lord| رب - (is the) Lord| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| الذي - the One Who| فطرهن - created them| وأنا - and I am| على - to| ذلكم - that| من - of| الشاهدين - the witnesses.| | ||||||
| 27. [21:57] | WataAllahi laakeedanna asnamakumbaAAda an tuwalloo mudbireena | وتالله لأكيدن أصنامكم بعد أن تولوا مدبرين وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَامَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اﷲ کی قسم! میں تمہارے بتوں کے ساتھ ضرور ایک تدبیر عمل میں لاؤں گا اس کے بعد کہ جب تم پیٹھ پھیر کر پلٹ جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And by Allah, I have a plan for your idols - after ye go away and turn your backs"..

| Words | |وتالله - And by Allah| لأكيدن - surely, I will plan| أصنامكم - (against) your idols| بعد - after| أن - [that]| تولوا - you go away| مدبرين - turning (your) backs."| | ||||||
| 28. [21:58] | FajaAAalahum juthathan illakabeeran lahum laAAallahum ilayhi yarjiAAoona | فجعلهم جذاذا إلا كبيرا لهم لعلهم إليه يرجعون فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے ان (بتوں) کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر ڈالا سوائے بڑے (بُت) کے تاکہ وہ لوگ اس کی طرف رجوع کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So he broke them to pieces, (all) but the biggest of them, that they might turn (and address themselves) to it.

| Words | |فجعلهم - So he made them| جذاذا - (into) pieces| إلا - except| كبيرا - a large (one)| لهم - of them,| لعلهم - so that they may| إليه - to it| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 29. [21:59] | Qaloo man faAAala hatha bi-alihatinainnahu lamina alththalimeena | قالوا من فعل هذا بآلهتنا إنه لمن الظالمين قَالُوا مَن فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہنے لگے: ہمارے معبودوں کا یہ حال کس نے کیا ہے؟ بیشک وہ ضرور ظالموں میں سے ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!"
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| من - "Who| فعل - (has) done| هذا - this| بآلهتنا - to our gods?| إنه - Indeed, he| لمن - (is) of| الظالمين - the wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 30. [21:60] | Qaloo samiAAna fatan yathkuruhumyuqalu lahu ibraheemu | قالوا سمعنا فتى يذكرهم يقال له إبراهيم قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (کچھ) لوگ بولے: ہم نے ایک نوجوان کا سنا ہے جو ان کا ذکر (انکار و تنقید سے) کرتا ہے اسے ابراہیم کہا جاتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "We heard a youth talk of them: He is called Abraham."
