LiteralThat and who magnifies/makes great God's methods/ways of worship, so that it truly is from the hearts'/minds' fearing/obedience of God.
Yusuf AliSuch (is his state): and whoever holds in honour the symbols of Allah, (in the sacrifice of animals), such (honour) should come truly from piety of heart.
PickthalThat (is the command). And whoso magnifieth the offerings consecrated to Allah, it surely is from devotion of the hearts,
Arberry All that; and whosoever venerates God's waymarks, that is of the godliness of the hearts.
ShakirThat (shall be so); and whoever respects the signs of Allah, this surely is (the outcome) of the piety of hearts.
SarwarTo respect the symbols of God is the sign of a pious heart.
H/K/SaheehThat [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.
Malikso it is, and he who respects the Symbols of Allah, surely shows the piety of his heart.[32]
Maulana Ali**That (shall be so). And whoever respects the ordinances of Allah, this is surely from the piety of hearts.
Free MindsThus, and whoever honours the decrees of God, then it is from the piety of the hearts.
Qaribullah All that; and, he who venerates the waymarks of Allah, surely it is from the piety of the hearts.
George SaleThis is so. And whoso maketh valuable offerings unto God; verily they proceed from the piety of men's hearts.
JM RodwellThis do. And they who respect the rites of God, perform an action which proceedeth from piety of heart.
AsadThis is [to be borne in mind]. And anyone who honours the symbols set up by God [Lit., "God's symbols (shaair)" - an expression which in this context refers to the rites of pilgrimage (see the second half of note on 5:2). This stress on the symbolic character of all the rites connected with the pilgrimage is meant to draw the believer's attention to the spiritual meaning of those rites, and thus to warn him against making, unthinkingly, a sort of fetish of them. - The assumption of some of the commentators that the "symbols" referred to here relate specifically to the sacrificial animals, and their sacrifice as such is not warranted by the text. As Tabari explains in his commentary on this and the next verse, the term shaa'ir comprises all the rites, actions and places connected with the pilgrimage (all of which have symbolic meaning), and cannot be restricted to any one of them.] [shall know that] verily, these [symbols derive their value] from the God-consciousness in the [believers'] hearts.
Khalifa**Indeed, those who reverence the rites decreed by GOD demonstrate the righteousness of their hearts.
Hilali/Khan**Thus it is (what has been mentioned in the above said Verses (27, 28, 29, 30, 31) is an obligation that mankind owes to Allah). And whosoever honours the Symbols of Allah, then it is truly from the piety of the heart.
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**Such is his state. And anyone who honors the symbols set up by Allah must know that mere honoring these symbols is of no value without righteousness of the heart.
