| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [24:1] | Sooratun anzalnaha wafaradnahawaanzalna feeha ayatin bayyinatinlaAAallakum tathakkaroona |  سورة أنزلناها وفرضناها وأنزلنا فيها آيات بينات لعلكم تذكرونسُورَةٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهَا وَفَرَضْنَاهَا وَأَنزَلْنَا فِيهَا آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | (یہ) ایک (عظیم) سورت ہے جسے ہم نے اتارا ہے اور ہم نے اس (کے احکام) کو فرض کر دیا ہے اور ہم نے اس میں واضح آیتیں نازل فرمائی ہیں تاکہ تم نصیحت حاصل کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | A sura which We have sent down and which We have ordained in it have We sent down Clear Signs, in order that ye may receive admonition.

[24:2] | Alzzaniyatu waalzzaneefaijlidoo kulla wahidin minhuma mi-atajaldatin wala ta/khuthkum bihima ra/fatunfee deeni Allahi in kuntum tu/minoona biAllahiwaalyawmi al-akhiri walyashhad AAathabahumata-ifatun mina almu/mineena | الزانية والزاني فاجلدوا كل واحد منهما مائة جلدة ولا تأخذكم بهما رأفة في دين الله إن كنتم تؤمنون بالله واليوم الآخر وليشهد عذابهما طائفة من المؤمنين الزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِي فَاجْلِدُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا مِئَةَ جَلْدَةٍ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُم بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَائِفَةٌ مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بدکار عورت اور بدکار مرد (اگر غیر شادی شدہ ہوں) تو ان دونوں میں سے ہر ایک کو (شرائطِ حد کے ساتھ جرمِ زنا کے ثابت ہو جانے پر) سو (سو) کوڑے مارو (جبکہ شادی شدہ مرد و عورت کی بدکاری پر سزا رجم ہے اور یہ سزائے موت ہے) اور تمہیں ان دونوں پر (دین کے حکم کے اجراء) میں ذرا ترس نہیں آنا چاہئے اگر تم اللہ پر اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتے ہو، اور چاہئے کہ ان دونوں کی سزا (کے موقع) پر مسلمانوں کی (ایک اچھی خاصی) جماعت موجود ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.

[24:31] | Waqul lilmu/minati yaghdudnamin absarihinna wayahfathnafuroojahunna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa mathahara minha walyadribnabikhumurihinna AAala juyoobihinna wala yubdeenazeenatahunna illa libuAAoolatihinna aw aba-ihinnaaw aba-i buAAoolatihinna aw abna-ihinna awabna-i buAAoolatihinna aw ikhwanihinna aw baneeikhwanihinna aw banee akhawatihinna aw nisa-ihinnaaw ma malakat aymanuhunna awi alttabiAAeenaghayri olee al-irbati mina alrrijali awi alttifliallatheena lam yathharoo AAala AAawratialnnisa-i wala yadribnabi-arjulihinna liyuAAlama ma yukhfeena min zeenatihinnawatooboo ila Allahi jameeAAan ayyuhaalmu/minoona laAAallakum tuflihoona | وقل للمؤمنات يغضضن من أبصارهن ويحفظن فروجهن ولا يبدين زينتهن إلا ما ظهر منها وليضربن بخمرهن على جيوبهن ولا يبدين زينتهن إلا لبعولتهن أو آبائهن أو آباء بعولتهن أو أبنائهن أو أبناء بعولتهن أو إخوانهن أو بني إخوانهن أو بني أخواتهن أو نسائهن أو ما ملكت أيمانهن أو التابعين غير أولي الإربة من الرجال أو الطفل الذين لم يظهروا على عورات النساء ولا يضربن بأرجلهن ليعلم ما يخفين من زينتهن وتوبوا إلى الله جميعا أيه المؤمنون لعلكم تفلحون وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَائِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ أَوْ نِسَائِهِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُنَّ أَوِ التَّابِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُوْلِي الْإِرْبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ أَوِ الطِّفْلِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى عَوْرَاتِ النِّسَاءِ وَلَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِن زِينَتِهِنَّ وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور آپ مومن عورتوں سے فرما دیں کہ وہ (بھی) اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھا کریں اور اپنی شرم گاہوں کی حفاظت کیا کریں اور اپنی آرائش و زیبائش کو ظاہر نہ کیا کریں سوائے (اسی حصہ) کے جو اس میں سے خود ظاہر ہوتا ہے اور وہ اپنے سروں پر اوڑھے ہوئے دوپٹے (اور چادریں) اپنے گریبانوں اور سینوں پر (بھی) ڈالے رہا کریں اور وہ اپنے بناؤ سنگھار کو (کسی پر) ظاہر نہ کیا کریں سوائے اپنے شوہروں کے یا اپنے باپ دادا یا اپنے شوہروں کے باپ دادا کے یا اپنے بیٹوں یا اپنے شوہروں کے بیٹوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں یا اپنے بھتیجوں یا اپنے بھانجوں کے یا اپنی (ہم مذہب، مسلمان) عورتوں یا اپنی مملوکہ باندیوں کے یا مردوں میں سے وہ خدمت گار جو خواہش و شہوت سے خالی ہوں یا وہ بچے جو (کم سِنی کے باعث ابھی) عورتوں کی پردہ والی چیزوں سے آگاہ نہیں ہوئے (یہ بھی مستثنٰی ہیں) اور نہ (چلتے ہوئے) اپنے پاؤں (زمین پر اس طرح) مارا کریں کہ (پیروں کی جھنکار سے) ان کا وہ سنگھار معلوم ہو جائے جسے وہ (حکمِ شریعت سے) پوشیدہ کئے ہوئے ہیں، اور تم سب کے سب اللہ کے حضور توبہ کرو اے مومنو! تاکہ تم (ان احکام پر عمل پیرا ہو کر) فلاح پا جاؤ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.

[24:33] | WalyastaAAfifi allatheena layajidoona nikahan hatta yughniyahumu Allahumin fadlihi waallatheena yabtaghoona alkitabamimma malakat aymanukum fakatiboohum inAAalimtum feehim khayran waatoohum min mali Allahiallathee atakum wala tukrihoo fatayatikumAAala albigha-i in aradna tahassunanlitabtaghoo AAarada alhayati alddunyawaman yukrihhunna fa-inna Allaha min baAAdi ikrahihinnaghafoorun raheemun | وليستعفف الذين لا يجدون نكاحا حتى يغنيهم الله من فضله والذين يبتغون الكتاب مما ملكت أيمانكم فكاتبوهم إن علمتم فيهم خيرا وآتوهم من مال الله الذي آتاكم ولا تكرهوا فتياتكم على البغاء إن أردن تحصنا لتبتغوا عرض الحياة الدنيا ومن يكرههن فإن الله من بعد إكراههن غفور رحيم وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ الَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّى يُغْنِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَالَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ الْكِتَابَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا وَآتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي آتَاكُمْ وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا فَتَيَاتِكُمْ عَلَى الْبِغَاءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبْتَغُوا عَرَضَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَن يُكْرِههُّنَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مِن بَعْدِ إِكْرَاهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ایسے لوگوں کو پاک دامنی اختیار کرنا چاہئے جو نکاح (کی استطاعت) نہیں پاتے یہاں تک کہ اللہ انہیں اپنے فضل سے غنی فرما دے، اور تمہارے زیردست (غلاموں اور باندیوں) میں سے جو مکاتب (کچھ مال کما کر دینے کی شرط پر آزاد) ہونا چاہیں تو انہیں مکاتب (مذکورہ شرط پر آزاد) کر دو اگر تم ان میں بھلائی جانتے ہو، اور تم (خود بھی) انہیں اللہ کے مال میں سے (آزاد ہونے کے لئے) دے دو جو اس نے تمہیں عطا فرمایا ہے، اور تم اپنی باندیوں کو دنیوی زندگی کا فائدہ حاصل کرنے کے لئے بدکاری پر مجبور نہ کرو جبکہ وہ پاک دامن (یا حفاطتِ نکاح میں) رہنا چاہتی ہیں، اور جو شخص انہیں مجبور کرے گا تو اللہ ان کے مجبور ہو جانے کے بعد (بھی) بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah gives them means out of His grace. And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which Allah has given to you. But force not your maids to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. But if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is Allah, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to them),

[24:35] | Allahu nooru alssamawatiwaal-ardi mathalu noorihi kamishkatin feehamisbahun almisbahu fee zujajatinalzzujajatu kaannaha kawkabun durriyyunyooqadu min shajaratin mubarakatin zaytoonatin lasharqiyyatin wala gharbiyyatin yakadu zaytuhayudee-o walaw lam tamsas-hu narun noorun AAalanoorin yahdee Allahu linoorihi man yashao wayadribuAllahu al-amthala lilnnasi waAllahubikulli shay-in AAaleemun | الله نور السماوات والأرض مثل نوره كمشكاة فيها مصباح المصباح في زجاجة الزجاجة كأنها كوكب دري يوقد من شجرة مباركة زيتونة لا شرقية ولا غربية يكاد زيتها يضيء ولو لم تمسسه نار نور على نور يهدي الله لنوره من يشاء ويضرب الله الأمثال للناس والله بكل شيء عليم اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ نُّورٌ عَلَى نُورٍ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اللہ آسمانوں اور زمین کا نور ہے، اس کے نور کی مثال (جو نورِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی شکل میں دنیا میں روشن ہے) اس طاق (نما سینۂ اقدس) جیسی ہے جس میں چراغِ (نبوت روشن) ہے؛ (وہ) چراغ، فانوس (قلبِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) میں رکھا ہے۔ (یہ) فانوس (نورِ الٰہی کے پرتَو سے اس قدر منور ہے) گویا ایک درخشندہ ستارہ ہے (یہ چراغِ نبوت) جو زیتون کے مبارک درخت سے (یعنی عالم قدس کے بابرکت رابطہ وحی سے یا انبیاء و رسل ہی کے مبارک شجرۂ نبوت سے) روشن ہوا ہے نہ (فقط) شرقی ہے اور نہ غربی (بلکہ اپنے فیضِ نور کی وسعت میں عالم گیر ہے) ۔ ایسا معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ اس کا تیل (خود ہی) چمک رہا ہے اگرچہ ابھی اسے (وحی ربّانی اور معجزاتِ آسمانی کی) آگ نے چھوا بھی نہیں، (وہ) نور کے اوپر نور ہے (یعنی نورِ وجود پر نورِ نبوت گویا وہ ذات دوہرے نور کا پیکر ہے)، اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے اپنے نور (کی معرفت) تک پہنچا دیتا ہے، اور اللہ لوگوں (کی ہدایت) کے لئے مثالیں بیان فرماتا ہے، اور اللہ ہر چیز سے خوب آگاہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.

[24:58] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooliyasta/thinkumu allatheena malakat aymanukumwaallatheena lam yablughoo alhuluma minkumthalatha marratin min qabli salatialfajri waheena tadaAAoona thiyabakum mina alththaheeratiwamin baAAdi salati alAAisha-i thalathuAAawratin lakum laysa AAalaykum wala AAalayhim junahunbaAAdahunna tawwafoona AAalaykum baAAdukumAAala baAAdin kathalika yubayyinu Allahulakumu al-ayati waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun | يا أيها الذين آمنوا ليستأذنكم الذين ملكت أيمانكم والذين لم يبلغوا الحلم منكم ثلاث مرات من قبل صلاة الفجر وحين تضعون ثيابكم من الظهيرة ومن بعد صلاة العشاء ثلاث عورات لكم ليس عليكم ولا عليهم جناح بعدهن طوافون عليكم بعضكم على بعض كذلك يبين الله لكم الآيات والله عليم حكيم يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لِيَسْتَأْذِنكُمُ الَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحُلُمَ مِنكُمْ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ مِن قَبْلِ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَابَكُم مِّنَ الظَّهِيرَةِ وَمِن بَعْدِ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ ثَلَاثُ عَوْرَاتٍ لَّكُمْ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا عَلَيْهِمْ جُنَاحٌ بَعْدَهُنَّ طَوَّافُونَ عَلَيْكُم بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! چاہئے کہ تمہارے زیردست (غلام اور باندیاں) اور تمہارے ہی وہ بچے جو (ابھی) جوان نہیں ہوئے (تمہارے پاس آنے کے لئے) تین مواقع پر تم سے اجازت لیا کریں: (ایک) نمازِ فجر سے پہلے اور (دوسرے) دوپہر کے وقت جب تم (آرام کے لئے) کپڑے اتارتے ہو اور (تیسرے) نمازِ عشاء کے بعد (جب تم خواب گاہوں میں چلے جاتے ہو)، (یہ) تین (وقت) تمہارے پردے کے ہیں، ان (اوقات) کے علاوہ نہ تم پر کوئی گناہ ہے اور نہ ان پر، (کیونکہ بقیہ اوقات میں وہ) تمہارے ہاں کثرت کے ساتھ ایک دوسرے کے پاس آتے جاتے رہتے ہیں، اسی طرح اللہ تمہارے لئے آیتیں واضح فرماتا ہے، اور اللہ خوب جاننے والا حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye who believe! let those whom your right hands possess, and the (children) among you who have not come of age ask your permission (before they come to your presence), on three occasions: before morning prayer; the while ye doff your clothes for the noonday heat; and after the late-night prayer: these are your three times of undress: outside those times it is not wrong for you or for them to move about attending to each other: Thus does Allah make clear the Signs to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.

[24:61] | Laysa AAala al-aAAma harajunwala AAala al-aAAraji harajun walaAAala almareedi harajun wala AAalaanfusikum an ta/kuloo min buyootikum aw buyooti aba-ikumaw buyooti ommahatikum aw buyooti ikhwanikum awbuyooti akhawatikum aw buyooti aAAmamikum awbuyooti AAammatikum aw buyooti akhwalikum awbuyooti khalatikum aw ma malaktum mafatihahuaw sadeeqikum laysa AAalaykum junahun an ta/kuloojameeAAan aw ashtatan fa-itha dakhaltum buyootanfasallimoo AAala anfusikum tahiyyatan min AAindiAllahi mubarakatan tayyibatan kathalikayubayyinu Allahu lakumu al-ayati laAAallakumtaAAqiloona | ليس على الأعمى حرج ولا على الأعرج حرج ولا على المريض حرج ولا على أنفسكم أن تأكلوا من بيوتكم أو بيوت آبائكم أو بيوت أمهاتكم أو بيوت إخوانكم أو بيوت أخواتكم أو بيوت أعمامكم أو بيوت عماتكم أو بيوت أخوالكم أو بيوت خالاتكم أو ما ملكتم مفاتحه أو صديقكم ليس عليكم جناح أن تأكلوا جميعا أو أشتاتا فإذا دخلتم بيوتا فسلموا على أنفسكم تحية من عند الله مباركة طيبة كذلك يبين الله لكم الآيات لعلكم تعقلون لَيْسَ عَلَى الْأَعْمَى حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى الْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى أَنفُسِكُمْ أَن تَأْكُلُوا مِن بُيُوتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ آبَائِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ إِخْوَانِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخَوَاتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَعْمَامِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ عَمَّاتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخْوَالِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ خَالَاتِكُمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكْتُم مَّفَاتِحَهُ أَوْ صَدِيقِكُمْ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَأْكُلُوا جَمِيعًا أَوْ أَشْتَاتًا فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُم بُيُوتًا فَسَلِّمُوا عَلَى أَنفُسِكُمْ تَحِيَّةً مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ مُبَارَكَةً طَيِّبَةً كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُون | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اندھے پر کوئی رکاوٹ نہیں اور نہ لنگڑے پر کوئی حرج ہے اور نہ بیمار پر کوئی گناہ ہے اور نہ خود تمہارے لئے (کوئی مضائقہ ہے) کہ تم اپنے گھروں سے (کھانا) کھا لو یا اپنے باپ دادا کے گھروں سے یا اپنی ماؤں کے گھروں سے یا اپنے بھائیوں کے گھروں سے یا اپنی بہنوں کے گھروں سے یا اپنے چچاؤں کے گھروں سے یا اپنی پھوپھیوں کے گھروں سے یا اپنے ماموؤں کے گھروں سے یا اپنی خالاؤں کے گھروں سے یا جن گھروں کی کنجیاں تمہارے اختیار میں ہیں (یعنی جن میں ان کے مالکوں کی طرف سے تمہیں ہر قسم کے تصرف کی اجازت ہے) یا اپنے دوستوں کے گھروں سے (کھانا کھا لینے میں مضائقہ نہیں)، تم پر اس بات میں کوئی گناہ نہیں کہ تم سب کے سب مل کر کھاؤ یا الگ الگ، پھر جب تم گھروں میں داخل ہوا کرو تو اپنے (گھر والوں) پر سلام کہا کرو (یہ) اللہ کی طرف سے بابرکت پاکیزہ دعا ہے، اس طرح اللہ اپنی آیتوں کو تمہارے لئے واضح فرماتا ہے تاکہ تم (احکامِ شریعت اور آدابِ زندگی کو) سمجھ سکو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is no fault in the blind nor in one born lame, nor in one afflicted with illness, nor in yourselves, that ye should eat in your own houses, or those of your fathers, or your mothers, or your brothers, or your sisters, or your father's brothers or your father's sisters, or your mohter's brothers, or your mother's sisters, or in houses of which the keys are in your possession, or in the house of a sincere friend of yours: there is no blame on you, whether ye eat in company or separately. But if ye enter houses, salute each other - a greeting of blessing and purity as from Allah. Thus does Allah make clear the signs to you: that ye may understand.

[24:3] | Alzzanee la yankihuilla zaniyatan aw mushrikatan waalzzaniyatula yankihuha illa zanin awmushrikun wahurrima thalika AAalaalmu/mineena | الزاني لا ينكح إلا زانية أو مشركة والزانية لا ينكحها إلا زان أو مشرك وحرم ذلك على المؤمنين الزَّانِي لَا يَنكِحُ إلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةً وَالزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَا إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌ وَحُرِّمَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بدکار مرد سوائے بدکار عورت یا مشرک عورت کے (کسی پاکیزہ عورت سے) نکاح (کرنا پسند) نہیں کرتا اور بدکار عورت (بھی) سوائے بدکار مرد یا مشرک کے (کسی صالح شخص سے) نکاح (کرنا پسند) نہیں کرتی، اور یہ (فعلِ زنا) مسلمانوں پر حرام کر دیا گیا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let no man guilty of adultery or fornication marry and but a woman similarly guilty, or an Unbeliever: nor let any but such a man or an Unbeliever marry such a woman: to the Believers such a thing is forbidden.

| 9. [24:5] | Illa allatheena taboomin baAAdi thalika waaslahoo fa-inna Allahaghafoorun raheemun | إلا الذين تابوا من بعد ذلك وأصلحوا فإن الله غفور رحيم إِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِن بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سوائے ان کے جنہوں نے اس (تہمت لگنے) کے بعد توبہ کر لی اور (اپنی) اصلاح کر لی، تو بیشک اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے (ان کا شمار فاسقوں میں نہیں ہوگا مگر اس سے حدِ قذف معاف نہیں ہوگی) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Unless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct); for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[24:4] | Waallatheena yarmoona almuhsanatithumma lam ya/too bi-arbaAAati shuhadaa faijlidoohumthamaneena jaldatan wala taqbaloo lahum shahadatanabadan waola-ika humu alfasiqoona | والذين يرمون المحصنات ثم لم يأتوا بأربعة شهداء فاجلدوهم ثمانين جلدة ولا تقبلوا لهم شهادة أبدا وأولئك هم الفاسقون وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَةً وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً أَبَدًا وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ پاک دامن عورتوں پر (بدکاری کی) تہمت لگائیں پھر چار گواہ پیش نہ کر سکیں تو تم انہیں (سزائے قذف کے طور پر) اسّی کوڑے لگاؤ اور کبھی بھی ان کی گواہی قبول نہ کرو، اور یہی لوگ بدکردار ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations),- flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors;-

[24:6] | Waallatheena yarmoona azwajahumwalam yakun lahum shuhadao illa anfusuhum fashahadatuahadihim arbaAAu shahadatin biAllahiinnahu lamina alssadiqeena | والذين يرمون أزواجهم ولم يكن لهم شهداء إلا أنفسهم فشهادة أحدهم أربع شهادات بالله إنه لمن الصادقين وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ شُهَدَاءُ إِلَّا أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ اپنی بیویوں پر (بدکاری کی) تہمت لگائیں اور ان کے پاس سوائے اپنی ذات کے کوئی گواہ نہ ہوں تو ایسے کسی بھی ایک شخص کی گواہی یہ ہے کہ (وہ خود) چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قَسم کھا کر گواہی دے کہ وہ (الزام لگانے میں) سچا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own,- their solitary evidence (can be received) if they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the truth;

| 12. [24:7] | Waalkhamisatu anna laAAnata AllahiAAalayhi in kana mina alkathibeena | والخامسة أن لعنت الله عليه إن كان من الكاذبين وَالْخَامِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور پانچویں مرتبہ یہ (کہے) کہ اس پر اللہ کی لعنت ہو اگر وہ جھوٹا ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the fifth (oath) (should be) that they solemnly invoke the curse of Allah on themselves if they tell a lie.

| 13. [24:8] | Wayadrao AAanha alAAathaba antashhada arbaAAa shahadatin biAllahiinnahu lamina alkathibeena | ويدرأ عنها العذاب أن تشهد أربع شهادات بالله إنه لمن الكاذبين وَيَدْرَؤُاْ عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اسی طرح) یہ بات اس (عورت) سے (بھی) سزا کو ٹال سکتی ہے کہ وہ چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر (خود) گواہی دے کہ وہ (مرد اس تہمت کے لگانے میں) جھوٹا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But it would avert the punishment from the wife, if she bears witness four times (with an oath) By Allah, that (her husband) is telling a lie;

| 14. [24:9] | Waalkhamisata anna ghadabaAllahi AAalayha in kana mina alssadiqeena | والخامسة أن غضب الله عليها إن كان من الصادقين وَالْخَامِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور پانچویں مرتبہ یہ (کہے) کہ اس پر (یعنی مجھ پر) اللہ کا غضب ہو اگر یہ (مرد اس الزام لگانے میں) سچا ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the fifth (oath) should be that she solemnly invokes the wrath of Allah on herself if (her accuser) is telling the truth.

| 15. [24:10] | Walawla fadlu AllahiAAalaykum warahmatuhu waanna Allaha tawwabunhakeemun | ولولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته وأن الله تواب حكيم وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر تم پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی (تو تم ایسے حالات میں زیادہ پریشان ہوتے) اور بیشک اللہ بڑا ہی توبہ قبول فرمانے والا بڑی حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If it were not for Allah's grace and mercy on you, and that Allah is Oft-Returning, full of Wisdom,- (Ye would be ruined indeed).

[24:11] | Inna allatheena jaoo bial-ifkiAAusbatun minkum la tahsaboohu sharran lakumbal huwa khayrun lakum likulli imri-in minhum ma iktasabamina al-ithmi waallathee tawalla kibrahuminhum lahu AAathabun AAatheemun | إن الذين جاءوا بالإفك عصبة منكم لا تحسبوه شرا لكم بل هو خير لكم لكل امرئ منهم ما اكتسب من الإثم والذي تولى كبره منهم له عذاب عظيم إِنَّ الَّذِينَ جَاؤُوا بِالْإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِّنكُمْ لَا تَحْسَبُوهُ شَرًّا لَّكُم بَلْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُم مَّا اكْتَسَبَ مِنَ الْإِثْمِ وَالَّذِي تَوَلَّى كِبْرَهُ مِنْهُمْ لَهُ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک جن لوگوں نے (عائشہ صدیقہ طیبہ طاہرہ رضی اﷲ عنہا پر) بہتان لگایا تھا (وہ بھی) تم ہی میں سے ایک جماعت تھی، تم اس (بہتان کے واقعہ) کو اپنے حق میں برا مت سمجھو بلکہ وہ تمہارے حق میں بہتر (ہوگیا) ہے٭ ان میں سے ہر ایک کے لئے اتنا ہی گناہ ہے جتنا اس نے کمایا، اور ان میں سے جس نے اس (بہتان) میں سب سے زیادہ حصہ لیا اس کے لئے زبردست عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who brought forward the lie are a body among yourselves: think it not to be an evil to you; On the contrary it is good for you: to every man among them (will come the punishment) of the sin that he earned, and to him who took on himself the lead among them, will be a penalty grievous.

[24:12] | Lawla ith samiAAtumoohu thannaalmu/minoona waalmu/minatu bi-anfusihim khayran waqaloohatha ifkun mubeenun | لولا إذ سمعتموه ظن المؤمنون والمؤمنات بأنفسهم خيرا وقالوا هذا إفك مبين لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا هَذَا إِفْكٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ایسا کیوں نہ ہوا کہ جب تم نے اس (بہتان) کو سنا تھا تو مومن مرد اور مومن عورتیں اپنوں کے بارے میں نیک گمان کر لیتے اور (یہ) کہہ دیتے کہ یہ کھلا (جھوٹ پر مبنی) بہتان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Why did not the believers - men and women - when ye heard of the affair,- put the best construction on it in their own minds and say, "This (charge) is an obvious lie"?

[24:13] | Lawla jaoo AAalayhibi-arbaAAati shuhadaa fa-ith lam ya/too bialshshuhada-ifaola-ika AAinda Allahi humu alkathiboona | لولا جاءوا عليه بأربعة شهداء فإذ لم يأتوا بالشهداء فأولئك عند الله هم الكاذبون لَوْلَا جَاؤُوا عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاءِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (افترا پرداز لوگ) اس (طوفان) پر چار گواہ کیوں نہ لائے، پھر جب وہ گواہ نہیں لا سکے تو یہی لوگ اللہ کے نزدیک جھوٹے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Why did they not bring four witnesses to prove it? When they have not brought the witnesses, such men, in the sight of Allah, (stand forth) themselves as liars!

[24:14] | Walawla fadlu AllahiAAalaykum warahmatuhu fee alddunya waal-akhiratilamassakum fee ma afadtum feehi AAathabunAAatheemun | ولولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته في الدنيا والآخرة لمسكم في ما أفضتم فيه عذاب عظيم وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِي مَا أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر تم پر دنیا و آخرت میں اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی تو جس (تہمت کے) چرچے میں تم پڑ گئے ہو اس پر تمہیں زبردست عذاب پہنچتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, in this world and the Hereafter, a grievous penalty would have seized you in that ye rushed glibly into this affair.

[24:15] | Ith talaqqawnahu bi-alsinatikumwataqooloona bi-afwahikum ma laysa lakum bihiAAilmun watahsaboonahu hayyinan wahuwa AAinda AllahiAAatheemun | إذ تلقونه بألسنتكم وتقولون بأفواهكم ما ليس لكم به علم وتحسبونه هينا وهو عند الله عظيم إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهُ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُم مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَتَحْسَبُونَهُ هَيِّنًا وَهُوَ عِندَ اللَّهِ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جب تم اس (بات) کو (ایک دوسرے سے سن کر) اپنی زبانوں پر لاتے رہے اور اپنے منہ سے وہ کچھ کہتے رہے جس کا (خود) تمہیں کوئی علم ہی نہ تھا اور اس (چرچے) کو معمولی بات خیال کر رہے تھے، حالانکہ وہ اللہ کے حضور بہت بڑی (جسارت ہو رہی) تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold, ye received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things of which ye had no knowledge; and ye thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah.

[24:16] | Walawla ith samiAAtumoohuqultum ma yakoonu lana an natakallama bihathasubhanaka hatha buhtanun AAatheemun | ولولا إذ سمعتموه قلتم ما يكون لنا أن نتكلم بهذا سبحانك هذا بهتان عظيم وَلَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ قُلْتُم مَّا يَكُونُ لَنَا أَن نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهَذَا سُبْحَانَكَ هَذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب تم نے یہ (بہتان) سنا تھا تو تم نے (اسی وقت) یہ کیوں نہ کہہ دیا کہ ہمارے لئے یہ (جائز ہی) نہیں کہ ہم اسے زبان پر لے آئیں (بلکہ تم یہ کہتے کہ اے اللہ!) تو پاک ہے (اس بات سے کہ ایسی عورت کو اپنے حبیب مکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی محبوب زوجہ بنا دے)، یہ بہت بڑا بہتان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? - "It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah! this is a most serious slander!"

| 22. [24:17] | YaAAithukumu Allahu antaAAoodoo limithlihi abadan in kuntum mu/mineena | يعظكم الله أن تعودوا لمثله أبدا إن كنتم مؤمنين يَعِظُكُمُ اللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُوا لِمِثْلِهِ أَبَدًا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اللہ تم کو نصیحت فرماتا ہے کہ پھر کبھی بھی ایسی بات (عمر بھر) نہ کرنا اگر تم اہلِ ایمان ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Allah doth admonish you, that ye may never repeat such (conduct), if ye are (true) Believers.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اللہ تمہارے لئے آیتوں کو واضح طور پر بیان فرماتا ہے، اور اللہ خوب جاننے والا بڑی حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Allah makes the Signs plain to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.

| 24. [24:20] | Walawla fadlu AllahiAAalaykum warahmatuhu waanna Allaha raoofun raheemun | ولولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته وأن الله رءوف رحيم وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ وَأَنَّ اللَّه رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر تم پر (اس رسولِ مکرّم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے صدقہ میں) اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی تو (تم بھی پہلی امتوں کی طرح تباہ کر دیئے جاتے) مگر اللہ بڑا شفیق بڑا رحم فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, and that Allah is full of kindness and mercy, (ye would be ruined indeed).

[24:23] | Inna allatheena yarmoona almuhsanatialghafilati almu/minati luAAinoo fee alddunyawaal-akhirati walahum AAathabun AAatheemun | إن الذين يرمون المحصنات الغافلات المؤمنات لعنوا في الدنيا والآخرة ولهم عذاب عظيم إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ الْغَافِلَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ لُعِنُوا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک جو لوگ ان پارسا مومن عورتوں پر جو (برائی کے تصور سے بھی) بے خبر اور ناآشنا ہیں (ایسی) تہمت لگاتے ہیں وہ دنیا اور آخرت (دونوں جہانوں) میں ملعون ہیں اور ان کے لئے زبردست عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter: for them is a grievous Penalty,-

[24:19] | Inna allatheena yuhibboona antasheeAAa alfahishatu fee allatheena amanoolahum AAathabun aleemun fee alddunya waal-akhiratiwaAllahu yaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoona | إن الذين يحبون أن تشيع الفاحشة في الذين آمنوا لهم عذاب أليم في الدنيا والآخرة والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک جو لوگ اس بات کو پسند کرتے ہیں کہ مسلمانوں میں بے حیائی پھیلے ان کے لئے دنیا اور آخرت میں دردناک عذاب ہے، اور اللہ (ایسے لوگوں کے عزائم کو) جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows, and ye know not.

| 27. [24:24] | Yawma tashhadu AAalayhim alsinatuhumwaaydeehim waarjuluhum bima kanoo yaAAmaloona | يوم تشهد عليهم ألسنتهم وأيديهم وأرجلهم بما كانوا يعملون يَوْمَ تَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ وَأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس دن (خود) ان کی زبانیں اور ان کے ہاتھ اور ان کے پاؤں انہی کے خلاف گواہی دیں گے کہ جو کچھ وہ کرتے رہے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions.

[24:21] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytaniwaman yattabiAA khutuwati alshshaytanifa-innahu ya/muru bialfahsha-i waalmunkariwalawla fadlu Allahi AAalaykum warahmatuhuma zaka minkum min ahadin abadan walakinnaAllaha yuzakkee man yashao waAllahusameeAAun AAaleemun | يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتبعوا خطوات الشيطان ومن يتبع خطوات الشيطان فإنه يأمر بالفحشاء والمنكر ولولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته ما زكى منكم من أحد أبدا ولكن الله يزكي من يشاء والله سميع عليم يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ وَمَن يَتَّبِعْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ مَا زَكَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَبَدًا وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُزَكِّي مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! شیطان کے راستوں پر نہ چلو، اور جو شخص شیطان کے نقوشِ قدم پر چلتا ہے تو وہ یقیناً بے حیائی اور برے کاموں (کے فروغ) کا حکم دیتا ہے، اور اگر تم پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی تو تم میں سے کوئی شخص بھی کبھی (اس گناہِ تہمت کے داغ سے) پاک نہ ہو سکتا لیکن اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے پاک فرما دیتا ہے، اور اللہ خوب سننے والا جاننے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things).

[24:22] | Wala ya/tali oloo alfadliminkum waalssaAAati an yu/too olee alqurba waalmasakeenawaalmuhajireena fee sabeeli AllahiwalyaAAfoo walyasfahoo ala tuhibboonaan yaghfira Allahu lakum waAllahu ghafoorunraheemun | ولا يأتل أولو الفضل منكم والسعة أن يؤتوا أولي القربى والمساكين والمهاجرين في سبيل الله وليعفوا وليصفحوا ألا تحبون أن يغفر الله لكم والله غفور رحيم وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُوْلُوا الْفَضْلِ مِنكُمْ وَالسَّعَةِ أَن يُؤْتُوا أُوْلِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تم میں سے (دینی) بزرگی والے اور (دنیوی) کشائش والے (اب) اس بات کی قَسم نہ کھائیں کہ وہ (اس بہتان کے جرم میں شریک) رشتہ داروں اور محتاجوں اور اللہ کی راہ میں ہجرت کرنے والوں کو (مالی امداد نہ) دیں گے انہیں چاہئے کہ (ان کا قصور) معاف کر دیں اور (ان کی غلطی سے) درگزر کریں، کیا تم اس بات کو پسند نہیں کرتے کہ اللہ تمہیں بخش دے، اور اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let not those among you who are endued with grace and amplitude of means resolve by oath against helping their kinsmen, those in want, and those who have left their homes in Allah's cause: let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

| 30. [24:25] | Yawma-ithin yuwaffeehimu Allahudeenahumu alhaqqa wayaAAlamoona anna Allaha huwa alhaqqualmubeenu | يومئذ يوفيهم الله دينهم الحق ويعلمون أن الله هو الحق المبين يَوْمَئِذٍ يُوَفِّيهِمُ اللَّهُ دِينَهُمُ الْحَقَّ وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِينُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس دن اللہ انہیں ان (کے اعمال) کی پوری پوری جزا جس کے وہ صحیح حق دار ہیں دے دے گا اور وہ جان لیں گے کہ اللہ (خود بھی) حق ہے (اور حق کو) ظاہر فرمانے والا (بھی) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On that Day Allah will pay them back (all) their just dues, and they will realise that Allah is the (very) Truth, that makes all things manifest.
