| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (حق کو) واضح کرنے والی کتاب کی آیتیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | These are verses of the Book that makes (things) clear.

| 3. [26:3] | LaAAallaka bakhiAAun nafsaka allayakoonoo mu/mineena | لعلك باخع نفسك ألا يكونوا مؤمنين لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) شاید آپ (اس غم میں) اپنی جانِ (عزیز) ہی دے بیٹھیں گے کہ وہ ایمان نہیں لاتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers.

| Words | |لعلك - Perhaps you| باخع - (would) kill| نفسك - yourself| ألا - that not| يكونوا - they become| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 4. [26:4] | In nasha/ nunazzil AAalayhim mina alssama-iayatan fathallat aAAnaquhum lahakhadiAAeena | إن نشأ ننزل عليهم من السماء آية فظلت أعناقهم لها خاضعين إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّن السَّمَاءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان پر آسمان سے (ایسی) نشانی اتار دیں کہ ان کی گردنیں اس کے آگے جھکی رہ جائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If (such) were Our Will, We could send down to them from the sky a Sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility.

| 5. [26:5] | Wama ya/teehim min thikrin minaalrrahmani muhdathin illa kanooAAanhu muAArideena | وما يأتيهم من ذكر من الرحمن محدث إلا كانوا عنه معرضين وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کے پاس (خدائے) رحمان کی جانب سے کوئی نئی نصیحت نہیں آتی مگر وہ اس سے رُوگرداں ہو جاتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But there comes not to them a newly-revealed Message from (Allah) Most Gracious, but they turn away therefrom.

| Words | |وما - And (does) not| يأتيهم - come to them| من - any| ذكر - reminder| من - from| الرحمن - the Most Gracious| محدث - new,| إلا - but| كانوا - they| عنه - from it| معرضين - turn away.| | ||||||
| 6. [26:11] | Qawma firAAawna ala yattaqoona | قوم فرعون ألا يتقون قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (یعنی) قومِ فرعون کے پاس، کیا وہ (اللہ سے) نہیں ڈرتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?"

| Words | |قوم - (The) people| فرعون - (of) Firaun.| ألا - Will not| يتقون - they fear?"| | ||||||
| 7. [26:37] | Ya/tooka bikulli sahharin AAaleemin | يأتوك بكل سحار عليم يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ تیرے پاس ہر بڑے ماہرِ فن جادوگر کو لے آئیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And bring up to thee all (our) sorcerers well-versed."
| ||||||
| Words | |يأتوك - They (will) bring to you| بكل - every| سحار - magician,| عليم - learned."| | ||||||
| 8. [26:6] | Faqad kaththaboo fasaya/teehim anbaoma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona | فقد كذبوا فسيأتيهم أنباء ما كانوا به يستهزئون فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُون | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو بیشک وہ (حق کو) جھٹلا چکے پس عنقریب انہیں اس امر کی خبریں پہنچ جائیں گی جس کا وہ مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They have indeed rejected (the Message): so they will know soon (enough) the truth of what they mocked at!

| Words | |فقد - So verily,| كذبوا - they have denied,| فسيأتيهم - then will come to them| أنباء - the news| ما - (of) what| كانوا - they used| به - at it| يستهزئون - (to) mock.| | ||||||
| 9. [26:7] | Awa lam yaraw ila al-ardi kamanbatna feeha min kulli zawjin kareemin | أولم يروا إلى الأرض كم أنبتنا فيها من كل زوج كريم أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کیا انہوں نے زمین کی طرف نگاہ نہیں کی کہ ہم نے اس میں کتنی ہی نفیس چیزیں اگائی ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein?

| Words | |أولم - Do not| يروا - they see| إلى - at| الأرض - the earth -| كم - how many| أنبتنا - We produced| فيها - in it| من - of| كل - every| زوج - kind| كريم - noble.| | ||||||
| 10. [26:8] | Inna fee thalika laayatan wamakana aktharuhum mu/mineena | إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس میں ضرور (قدرتِ الٰہیہ کی) نشانی ہے اور ان میں سے اکثر لوگ ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily, in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - surely (is) a sign,| وما - but not| كان - are| أكثرهم - most of them| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 11. [26:9] | Wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu | وإن ربك لهو العزيز الرحيم وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یقیناً آپ کا رب ہی تو غالب، مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
| ||||||
| Words | |وإن - And indeed| ربك - your Lord,| لهو - surely, He| العزيز - (is) the All-Mighty,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 12. [26:46] | Faolqiya alssaharatu sajideena | فألقي السحرة ساجدين فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس سارے جادوگر سجدہ کرتے ہوئے گر پڑے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then did the sorcerers fall down, prostrate in adoration,
| ||||||
| Words | |فألقي - Then fell down| السحرة - the magicians| ساجدين - prostrate.| | ||||||
| 13. [26:47] | Qaloo amanna birabbialAAalameena | قالوا آمنا برب العالمين قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہنے لگے: ہم سارے جہانوں کے پروردگار پر ایمان لے آئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Saying: "We believe in the Lord of the Worlds,
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| آمنا - "We believe| برب - in (the) Lord| العالمين - (of) the worlds,| | ||||||
| 14. [26:48] | Rabbi moosa waharoona | رب موسى وهارون رَبِّ مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (جو) موسٰی اور ہارون (علیہما السلام) کا رب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
| ||||||
| Words | |رب - Lord| موسى - (of) Musa| وهارون - and Harun."| | ||||||
| 15. [26:10] | Wa-ith nada rabbukamoosa ani i/ti alqawma alththalimeena | وإذ نادى ربك موسى أن ائت القوم الظالمين وَإِذْ نَادَى رَبُّكَ مُوسَى أَنِ ائْتِ الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (وہ واقعہ یاد کیجئے) جب آپ کے رب نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو نِدا دی کہ تم ظالموں کی قوم کے پاس جاؤ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,-
| ||||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| نادى - your Lord called| ربك - your Lord called| موسى - Musa,| أن - [that],| ائت - "Go| القوم - (to) the people| الظالمين - (who are) wrongdoers| | ||||||
| 16. [26:12] | Qala rabbi innee akhafu anyukaththibooni | قال رب إني أخاف أن يكذبون قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے عرض کیا: اے رب! میں ڈرتا ہوں کہ وہ مجھے جھٹلا دیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood:
| ||||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| إني - Indeed, I| أخاف - [I] fear| أن - that| يكذبون - they will deny me.| | ||||||
| 17. [26:13] | Wayadeequ sadree walayantaliqu lisanee faarsil ila haroona | ويضيق صدري ولا ينطلق لساني فأرسل إلى هارون وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِي وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَى هَارُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ایسے ناسازگار ماحول میں) میرا سینہ تنگ ہوجاتا ہے اور میری زبان (روانی سے) نہیں چلتی سو ہارون (علیہ السلام) کی طرف (بھی جبرائیل علیہ السلام کو وحی کے ساتھ) بھیج دے (تاکہ وہ میرا معاون بن جائے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron.
| ||||||
| Words | |ويضيق - And straitens| صدري - my breast| ولا - and not| ينطلق - expresses well| لساني - my tongue,| فأرسل - so send| إلى - for| هارون - Harun.| | ||||||
| 18. [26:14] | Walahum AAalayya thanbun faakhafuan yaqtulooni | ولهم علي ذنب فأخاف أن يقتلون وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کا میرے اوپر (قبطی کو مار ڈالنے کا) ایک الزام بھی ہے سو میں ڈرتا ہوں کہ وہ مجھے قتل کر ڈالیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me."
| ||||||
| Words | |ولهم - And they have| علي - against me| ذنب - a crime,| فأخاف - so I fear| أن - that| يقتلون - they will kill me."| | ||||||
| 19. [26:54] | Inna haola-i lashirthimatunqaleeloona | إن هؤلاء لشرذمة قليلون إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اور کہا:) بیشک یہ (بنی اسرائیل) تھوڑی سی جماعت ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band,
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - "Indeed,| هؤلاء - these| لشرذمة - (are) certainly a band| قليلون - small| | ||||||
| 20. [26:55] | Wa-innahum lana lagha-ithoona | وإنهم لنا لغائظون وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَائِظُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بلاشبہ وہ ہمیں غصہ دلا رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And they are raging furiously against us;
| ||||||
| Words | |وإنهم - And indeed, they| لنا - [to] us| لغائظون - (are) surely enraging,| | ||||||
| 21. [26:56] | Wa-inna lajameeAAun hathiroona | وإنا لجميع حاذرون وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَاذِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یقیناً ہم سب (بھی) مستعد اور چوکس ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned."
| ||||||
| Words | |وإنا - And indeed, we| لجميع - (are) surely a multitude| حاذرون - forewarned."| | ||||||
| 22. [26:57] | Faakhrajnahum min jannatinwaAAuyoonin | فأخرجناهم من جنات وعيون فَأَخْرَجْنَاهُم مِّن جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس ہم نے ان (فرعونیوں) کو باغوں اور چشموں سے نکال باہر کیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We expelled them from gardens, springs,
| ||||||
| Words | |فأخرجناهم - So We expelled them| من - from| جنات - gardens| وعيون - and springs,| | ||||||
| 23. [26:15] | Qala kalla faithhababi-ayatina inna maAAakum mustamiAAoona | قال كلا فاذهبا بآياتنا إنا معكم مستمعون قَالَ كَلَّا فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد ہوا: ہرگز نہیں، پس تم دونوں ہماری نشانیاں لے کر جاؤ بیشک ہم تمہارے ساتھ (ہر بات) سننے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call).

| Words | |قال - He said,| كلا - "Nay,| فاذهبا - go both of you| بآياتنا - with Our Signs.| إنا - Indeed, We| معكم - (are) with you,| مستمعون - listening.| | ||||||
| 24. [26:16] | Fa/tiya firAAawna faqoola innarasoolu rabbi alAAalameena | فأتيا فرعون فقولا إنا رسول رب العالمين فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم دونوں فرعون کے پاس جاؤ اور کہو: ہم سارے جہانوں کے پروردگار کے (بھیجے ہوئے) رسول ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds;

| Words | |فأتيا - So go both of you| فرعون - (to) Firaun| فقولا - and say,| إنا - 'Indeed, we| رسول - (are the) Messenger| رب - (of the) Lord| العالمين - (of) the worlds| | ||||||
| 25. [26:17] | An arsil maAAana banee isra-eela | أن أرسل معنا بني إسرائيل أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ہمارا مدعا یہ ہے) کہ تو بنی اسرائیل کو (آزادی دے کر) ہمارے ساتھ بھیج دے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'"
| ||||||
| Words | |أن - [That]| أرسل - send| معنا - with us| بني - (the) Children of Israel.'"| إسرائيل - (the) Children of Israel.'"| | ||||||
| 26. [26:18] | Qala alam nurabbika feenawaleedan walabithta feena min AAumurika sineena | قال ألم نربك فينا وليدا ولبثت فينا من عمرك سنين قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (فرعون نے) کہا: کیا ہم نے تمہیں اپنے یہاں بچپن کی حالت میں پالا نہیں تھا اور تم نے اپنی عمر کے کتنے ہی سال ہمارے اندر بسر کئے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life?

| Words | |قال - He said,| ألم - "Did not| نربك - we bring you up| فينا - among us| وليدا - (as) a child,| ولبثت - and you remained| فينا - among us| من - of| عمرك - your life| سنين - years?| | ||||||
| 27. [26:58] | Wakunoozin wamaqamin kareemin | وكنوز ومقام كريم وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور خزانوں اور نفیس قیام گاہوں سے (بھی نکال دیا) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Treasures, and every kind of honourable position;
| ||||||
| Words | |وكنوز - And treasures| ومقام - and a place| كريم - honorable,| | ||||||
| 28. [26:60] | FaatbaAAoohum mushriqeena | فأتبعوهم مشرقين فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر سورج نکلتے وقت ان (فرعونیوں) نے ان کا تعاقب کیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So they pursued them at sunrise.
| ||||||
| Words | |فأتبعوهم - So they followed them| مشرقين - (at) sunrise.| | ||||||
| 29. [26:64] | Waazlafna thamma al-akhareena | وأزلفنا ثم الآخرين وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے دوسروں (یعنی فرعون اور اس کے ساتھیوں) کو اس جگہ کے قریب کر دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We made the other party approach thither.
| ||||||
| Words | |وأزلفنا - And We brought near| ثم - there,| الآخرين - the others.| | ||||||
| 30. [26:66] | Thumma aghraqna al-akhareena | ثم أغرقنا الآخرين ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے دوسروں (یعنی فرعونیوں) کو غرق کر دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But We drowned the others.
| ||||||
