| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [26:93] | Min dooni Allahi hal yansuroonakumaw yantasiroona |  من دون الله هل ينصرونكم أو ينتصرونمِن دُونِ اللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | "'By Allah, we were truly in an error manifest,

| 3. [26:102] | Falaw anna lana karratan fanakoonamina almu/mineena | فلو أن لنا كرة فنكون من المؤمنين فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو کاش ہمیں ایک بار (دنیا میں) پلٹنا (نصیب) ہو جاتا تو ہم مومن ہوجاتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "'Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe!'"

| 4. [26:151] | Wala tuteeAAoo amraalmusrifeena | ولا تطيعوا أمر المسرفين وَلَا تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور حد سے تجاوز کرنے والوں کا کہنا نہ مانو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And follow not the bidding of those who are extravagant,-

| 5. [26:157] | FaAAaqarooha faasbahoonadimeena | فعقروها فأصبحوا نادمين فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر انہوں نے اس کی کونچیں کاٹ ڈالیں (سو اسے ہلاک کر دیا) پھر وہ (اپنے کئے پر) پشیمان ہو گئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But they ham-strung her: then did they become full of regrets.

| Words | |فعقروها - But they hamstrung her,| فأصبحوا - then they became| نادمين - regretful.| | ||||||
| 6. [26:160] | Kaththabat qawmu lootinalmursaleena | كذبت قوم لوط المرسلين كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | قومِ لوط نے (بھی) پیغمبروں کو جھٹلایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The people of Lut rejected the messengers.

| Words | |كذبت - Denied,| قوم - (the) people| لوط - (of) Lut,| المرسلين - the Messengers.| | ||||||
| 7. [26:103] | Inna fee thalika laayatan wamakana aktharuhum mu/mineena | إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس (واقعہ) میں (قدرتِ الٰہیہ کی) بڑی نشانی ہے، اور ان کے اکثر لوگ مومن نہ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily in this is a Sign but most of them do not believe.
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - surely is a Sign,| وما - but not| كان - are| أكثرهم - most of them| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 8. [26:104] | Wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu | وإن ربك لهو العزيز الرحيم وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک آپ کا رب ہی یقیناً غالب رحمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
| ||||||
| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| ربك - your Lord,| لهو - surely He| العزيز - (is) the All-Mighty,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 9. [26:106] | Ith qala lahum akhoohum noohunala tattaqoona | إذ قال لهم أخوهم نوح ألا تتقون إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جب ان سے ان کے (قومی) بھائی نوح (علیہ السلام) نے فرمایا: کیا تم (اللہ سے) ڈرتے نہیں ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)?

| Words | |إذ - When| قال - said| لهم - to them| أخوهم - their brother| نوح - Nuh,| ألا - "Will not| تتقون - you fear (Allah)?| | ||||||
| 10. [26:109] | Wama as-alukum AAalayhi min ajrin inajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena | وما أسألكم عليه من أجر إن أجري إلا على رب العالمين وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں تم سے اس (تبلیغِ حق) پر کوئی معاوضہ نہیں مانگتا، میرا اجر تو صرف سب جہانوں کے رب کے ذمہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds:

| 11. [26:162] | Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun | إني لكم رسول أمين إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک میں تمہارے لئے امانت دار رسول (بن کر آیا) ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust.
| ||||||
| Words | |إني - Indeed, I am| لكم - to you| رسول - a Messenger| أمين - trustworthy.| | ||||||
| 12. [26:163] | Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni | فاتقوا الله وأطيعون فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم اللہ سے ڈرو اور میری اطاعت اختیار کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "So fear Allah and obey me.
| ||||||
| Words | |فاتقوا - So fear| الله - Allah| وأطيعون - and obey me.| | ||||||
| 13. [26:165] | Ata/toona alththukranamina alAAalameena | أتأتون الذكران من العالمين أَتَأْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تم سارے جہان والوں میں سے صرف مَردوں ہی کے پاس (اپنی شہوانی خواہشات پوری کرنے کے لئے) آتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males,

| Words | |أتأتون - Do you approach| الذكران - the males| من - among| العالمين - the worlds| | ||||||
| 14. [26:111] | Qaloo anu/minu laka waittabaAAakaal-arthaloona | قالوا أنؤمن لك واتبعك الأرذلون قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: کیا ہم تم پر ایمان لے آئیں حالانکہ تمہاری پیروی (معاشرے کے) انتہائی نچلے اور حقیر (طبقات کے) لوگ کر رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?"

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أنؤمن - "Should we believe| لك - in you| واتبعك - while followed you| الأرذلون - the lowest?"| | ||||||
| 15. [26:112] | Qala wama AAilmee bimakanoo yaAAmaloona | قال وما علمي بما كانوا يعملون قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (نوح علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: میرے علم کو ان کے (پیشہ وارانہ) کاموں سے کیا سروکار | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "And what do I know as to what they do?
| ||||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| وما - "And what| علمي - (do) I know| بما - of what| كانوا - they used| يعملون - (to) do?| | ||||||
| 16. [26:113] | In hisabuhum illa AAalarabbee law tashAAuroona | إن حسابهم إلا على ربي لو تشعرون إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَى رَبِّي لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان کا حساب تو صرف میرے رب ہی کے ذمہ ہے۔ کاش! تم سمجھتے (کہ حقیقی عزت و ذلت کیا ہے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand.

| Words | |إن - Verily,| حسابهم - their account| إلا - (is) but| على - upon| ربي - my Lord,| لو - if| تشعرون - you perceive.| | ||||||
| 17. [26:115] | In ana illa natheerunmubeenun | إن أنا إلا نذير مبين إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | میں تو فقط کھلا ڈر سنانے والا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "I am sent only to warn plainly in public."
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Not| أنا - I am| إلا - but| نذير - a warner| مبين - clear."| | ||||||
| 18. [26:116] | Qaloo la-in lam tantahi yanoohu latakoonanna mina almarjoomeena | قالوا لئن لم تنته يا نوح لتكونن من المرجومين قَالُوا لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: اے نوح! اگر تم (ان باتوں سے) باز نہ آئے تو تمہیں یقیناً سنگ سار کر دیا جائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)."
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| لئن - "If| لم - not| تنته - you desist,| يا - O| نوح - O Nuh!| لتكونن - Surely you will be| من - of| المرجومين - those who are stoned."| | ||||||
| 19. [26:170] | Fanajjaynahu waahlahu ajmaAAeena | فنجيناه وأهله أجمعين فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس ہم نے ان کو اور ان کے سب گھر والوں کو نجات عطا فرما دی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We delivered him and his family,- all
| ||||||
| Words | |فنجيناه - So We saved him| وأهله - and his family| أجمعين - all,| | ||||||
| 20. [26:171] | Illa AAajoozan fee alghabireena | إلا عجوزا في الغابرين إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سوائے ایک بوڑھی عورت کے جو پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Except an old woman who lingered behind.
| ||||||
| Words | |إلا - Except| عجوزا - an old woman,| في - (was) among| الغابرين - those who remained behind.| | ||||||
| 21. [26:172] | Thumma dammarna al-akhareena | ثم دمرنا الآخرين ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے دوسروں کو ہلاک کر دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But the rest We destroyed utterly.
| ||||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| دمرنا - We destroyed| الآخرين - the others.| | ||||||
| 22. [26:117] | Qala rabbi inna qawmee kaththabooni | قال رب إن قومي كذبون قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (نوح علیہ السلام نے) عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! میری قوم نے مجھے جھٹلا دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me.
| ||||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| إن - Indeed,| قومي - my people| كذبون - have denied me.| | ||||||
| 23. [26:118] | Faiftah baynee wabaynahum fathanwanajjinee waman maAAiya mina almu/mineena | فافتح بيني وبينهم فتحا ونجني ومن معي من المؤمنين فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن مَّعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تو میرے اور ان کے درمیان فیصلہ فرما دے اور مجھے اور ان مومنوں کو جو میرے ساتھ ہیں نجات دے دے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me."

| Words | |فافتح - So judge| بيني - between me| وبينهم - and between them| فتحا - (with decisive) judgment,| ونجني - and save me| ومن - and who| معي - (are) with me| من - of| المؤمنين - the believers."| | ||||||
| 24. [26:119] | Faanjaynahu waman maAAahu feealfulki almashhooni | فأنجيناه ومن معه في الفلك المشحون فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس ہم نے ان کو اور جو ان کے ساتھ بھری ہوئی کشتی میں (سوار) تھے نجات دے دی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures).
| ||||||
| Words | |فأنجيناه - So We saved him| ومن - and who| معه - (were) with him| في - in| الفلك - the ship,| المشحون - laden.| | ||||||
| 25. [26:121] | Inna fee thalika laayatan wamakana aktharuhum mu/mineena | إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس (واقعہ) میں (قدرتِ الٰہیہ کی) بڑی نشانی ہے اور ان کے اکثر لوگ مومن نہ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.

| Tahir ul Qadri | باشندگانِ ایکہ (یعنی جنگل کے رہنے والوں) نے (بھی) رسولوں کو جھٹلایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers.

| 29. [26:182] | Wazinoo bialqistasialmustaqeemi | وزنوا بالقسطاس المستقيم وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور سیدھی ترازو سے تولا کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And weigh with scales true and upright.
| ||||||
| Words | |وزنوا - And weigh| بالقسطاس - with a balance,| المستقيم - [the] even.| | ||||||

| Yousuf Ali | And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
