| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [26:124] | Ith qala lahum akhoohumhoodun ala tattaqoona |  إذ قال لهم أخوهم هود ألا تتقونإِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)?

| 2. [26:127] | Wama as-alukum AAalayhi min ajrin inajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena | وما أسألكم عليه من أجر إن أجري إلا على رب العالمين وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں تم سے اس (تبلیغِ حق) پر کوئی معاوضہ نہیں مانگتا ، میرا اجر تو فقط تمام جہانوں کے رب کے ذمہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds.

| Words | |وما - And not| أسألكم - I ask you| عليه - for it| من - any| أجر - payment.| إن - Not| أجري - (is) my payment| إلا - except| على - from| رب - (the) Lord| العالمين - (of) the worlds.| | ||||||
| 3. [26:128] | Atabnoona bikulli reeAAin ayatantaAAbathoona | أتبنون بكل ريع آية تعبثون أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تم ہر اونچی جگہ پر ایک یادگار تعمیر کرتے ہو (محض) تفاخر اور فضول مشغلوں کے لئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Do ye build a landmark on every high place to amuse yourselves?

| Words | |أتبنون - Do you construct| بكل - on every| ريع - elevation| آية - a sign,| تعبثون - amusing yourselves,| | ||||||
| 4. [26:192] | Wa-innahu latanzeelu rabbi alAAalameena | وإنه لتنزيل رب العالمين وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک یہ (قرآن) سارے جہانوں کے رب کا نازل کردہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds:

| 5. [26:193] | Nazala bihi alrroohu al-ameenu | نزل به الروح الأمين نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اسے روح الامین (جبرائیل علیہ السلام) لے کر اترا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth-

| Words | |نزل - Has brought it down,| به - Has brought it down,| الروح - the Spirit| الأمين - [the] Trustworthy,| | ||||||
| 6. [26:195] | Bilisanin AAarabiyyin mubeenin | بلسان عربي مبين بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اس کا نزول) فصیح عربی زبان میں (ہوا) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In the perspicuous Arabic tongue.

| Words | |بلسان - In language| عربي - Arabic| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 7. [26:196] | Wa-innahu lafee zuburi al-awwaleena | وإنه لفي زبر الأولين وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک یہ پہلی امتوں کے صحیفوں میں (بھی مذکور) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples.

| Words | |وإنه - And indeed, it| لفي - surely, (is) in| زبر - (the) Scriptures| الأولين - (of) the former (people).| | ||||||
| 8. [26:132] | Waittaqoo allathee amaddakumbima taAAlamoona | واتقوا الذي أمدكم بما تعلمون وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس (اللہ) سے ڈرو جس نے تمہاری ان چیزوں سے مدد کی جو تم جانتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Yea, fear Him Who has bestowed on you freely all that ye know.

| Words | |واتقوا - And fear| الذي - the One Who| أمدكم - has aided you| بما - with what| تعلمون - you know,| | ||||||
| 9. [26:135] | Innee akhafu AAalaykum AAathabayawmin AAatheemin | إني أخاف عليكم عذاب يوم عظيم إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک میں تم پر ایک زبردست دن کے عذاب کا خوف رکھتا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Great Day."

| Words | |إني - Indeed, I| أخاف - [I] fear| عليكم - for you| عذاب - (the) punishment| يوم - (of) a Day| عظيم - Great."| | ||||||
| 10. [26:136] | Qaloo sawaon AAalaynaawaAAathta am lam takun mina alwaAAitheena | قالوا سواء علينا أوعظت أم لم تكن من الواعظين قَالُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ الْوَاعِظِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: ہمارے حق میں برابر ہے خواہ تم نصیحت کرو یا نصیحت کرنے والوں میں نہ بنو (ہم نہیں مانیں گے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers!

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| سواء - "(It is) same| علينا - to us| أوعظت - whether you advise| أم - or| لم - not| تكن - you are| من - of| الواعظين - the advisors.| | ||||||
| 11. [26:137] | In hatha illa khuluqual-awwaleena | إن هذا إلا خلق الأولين إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا خُلُقُ الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (اور) کچھ نہیں مگر صرف پہلے لوگوں کی عادات (و اطوار) ہیں (جنہیں ہم چھوڑ نہیں سکتے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "This is no other than a customary device of the ancients,
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Not| هذا - (is) this| إلا - but| خلق - (the) custom| الأولين - (of) the former (people),| | ||||||
| 12. [26:139] | Fakaththaboohu faahlaknahuminna fee thalika laayatan wama kanaaktharuhum mu/mineena | فكذبوه فأهلكناهم إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو انہوں نے اس کو (یعنی ھود علیہ السلام کو) جھٹلا دیا پس ہم نے انہیں ہلاک کر ڈالا، بیشک اس (قصہ) میں (قدرتِ الٰہیہ کی) بڑی نشانی ہے، اور ان میں سے اکثر لوگ مومن نہ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.

| Words | |فكذبوه - So they denied him,| فأهلكناهم - then We destroyed them.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - surely, is a sign,| وما - but not| كان - are| أكثرهم - most of them| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 13. [26:203] | Fayaqooloo hal nahnu muntharoona | فيقولوا هل نحن منظرون فَيَقُولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تب وہ کہیں گے: کیا ہمیں مہلت دی جائے گی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?"
| ||||||
| Words | |فيقولوا - Then they will say,| هل - "Are| نحن - we| منظرون - (to be) reprieved?"| | ||||||
| 14. [26:204] | AfabiAAathabina yastaAAjiloona | أفبعذابنا يستعجلون أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا یہ ہمارے عذاب میں جلدی کے طلب گار ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on?
| ||||||
| Words | |أفبعذابنا - So is it for Our punishment| يستعجلون - they wish to hasten?| | ||||||
| 15. [26:140] | Wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu | وإن ربك لهو العزيز الرحيم وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک آپ کا رب ہی یقیناً غالب رحمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
| ||||||
| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| ربك - your Lord| لهو - surely, He| العزيز - (is) the All-Mighty,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 16. [26:142] | Ith qala lahum akhoohum salihunala tattaqoona | إذ قال لهم أخوهم صالح ألا تتقون إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جب ان سے ان کے (قومی) بھائی صالح (علیہ السلام) نے فرمایا: کیا تم (اللہ سے) ڈرتے نہیں ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold, their brother Salih said to them: "Will you not fear (Allah)?
| ||||||
| Words | |إذ - When,| قال - said| لهم - to them| أخوهم - their brother| صالح - Salih,| ألا - "Will not| تتقون - you fear (Allah)?| | ||||||
| 17. [26:145] | Wama as-alukum AAalayhi min ajrin inajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena | وما أسألكم عليه من أجر إن أجري إلا على رب العالمين وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں تم سے اس (تبلیغِ حق) پر کچھ معاوضہ طلب نہیں کرتا، میرا اجر تو صرف سارے جہانوں کے پروردگار کے ذمہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds.

| Words | |وما - And not| أسألكم - I ask you| عليه - for it| من - any| أجر - payment.| إن - Not| أجري - (is) my payment| إلا - except| على - from| رب - (the) Lord| العالمين - (of) the worlds.| | ||||||
| 18. [26:146] | Atutrakoona fee ma hahunaamineena | أتتركون في ما هاهنا آمنين أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تم ان (نعمتوں) میں جو یہاں (تمہیں میسر) ہیں (ہمیشہ کے لئے) امن و اطمینان سے چھوڑ دیئے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Will ye be left secure, in (the enjoyment of) all that ye have here?-

| Words | |أتتركون - Will you be left| في - in| ما - what| هاهنا - (is) here| آمنين - secure,| | ||||||
| 19. [26:205] | Afaraayta in mattaAAnahum sineena | أفرأيت إن متعناهم سنين أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بھلا بتائیے اگر ہم انہیں برسوں فائدہ پہنچاتے رہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years,
| ||||||
| Words | |أفرأيت - Then have you seen| إن - if| متعناهم - We let them enjoy| سنين - (for) years| | ||||||
| 20. [26:209] | Thikra wama kunnathalimeena | ذكرى وما كنا ظالمين ذِكْرَى وَمَا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اور یہ بھی) نصیحت کے لئے اور ہم ظالم نہ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | By way of reminder; and We never are unjust.
| ||||||
| Words | |ذكرى - (To) remind,| وما - and not| كنا - We are| ظالمين - unjust.| | ||||||
| 21. [26:210] | Wama tanazzalat bihi alshshayateenu | وما تنزلت به الشياطين وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور شیطان اس (قرآن) کو لے کرنہیں اترے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation):
| ||||||
| Words | |وما - And not| تنزلت - have brought it down| به - have brought it down| الشياطين - the devils.| | ||||||
| 22. [26:149] | Watanhitoona mina aljibalibuyootan fariheena | وتنحتون من الجبال بيوتا فارهين وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَارِهِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تم (سنگ تراشی کی) مہارت کے ساتھ پہاڑوں میں تراش (تراش) کر مکانات بناتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And ye carve houses out of (rocky) mountains with great skill.
| ||||||
| Words | |وتنحتون - And you carve| من - of| الجبال - the mountains,| بيوتا - houses| فارهين - skillfully.| | ||||||
| 23. [26:152] | Allatheena yufsidoona fee al-ardiwala yuslihoona | الذين يفسدون في الأرض ولا يصلحون الَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے ہیں اور (معاشرہ کی) اصلاح نہیں کرتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Who make mischief in the land, and mend not (their ways)."
| ||||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| يفسدون - spread corruption| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ولا - and (do) not| يصلحون - reform."| | ||||||
| 24. [26:153] | Qaloo innama anta mina almusahhareena | قالوا إنما أنت من المسحرين قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے کہ تم تو فقط جادو زدہ لوگوں میں سے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched!
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| إنما - "Only| أنت - you| من - (are) of| المسحرين - those bewitched.| | ||||||
| 25. [26:154] | Ma anta illa basharun mithlunafa/ti bi-ayatin in kunta mina alssadiqeena | ما أنت إلا بشر مثلنا فأت بآية إن كنت من الصادقين مَا أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تم تو محض ہمارے جیسے بشر ہو، پس تم کوئی نشانی لے آؤ اگر تم سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Thou art no more than a mortal like us: then bring us a Sign, if thou tellest the truth!"

| Words | |ما - Not| أنت - you| إلا - (are) except| بشر - a man| مثلنا - like us,| فأت - so bring| بآية - a sign,| إن - if| كنت - you| من - (are) of| الصادقين - the truthful."| | ||||||
| 26. [26:212] | Innahum AAani alssamAAilamaAAzooloona | إنهم عن السمع لمعزولون إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک وہ (اس کلام کے) سننے سے روک دیئے گئے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it.
| ||||||
| Words | |إنهم - Indeed, they| عن - from| السمع - the hearing| لمعزولون - (are) surely banished.| | ||||||
| 27. [26:214] | Waanthir AAasheerataka al-aqrabeena | وأنذر عشيرتك الأقربين وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) آپ اپنے قریبی رشتہ داروں کو (ہمارے عذاب سے) ڈرائیے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And admonish thy nearest kinsmen,
| ||||||
| Words | |وأنذر - And warn| عشيرتك - your kindred| الأقربين - [the] closest.| | ||||||
| 28. [26:217] | Watawakkal AAala alAAazeezi alrraheemi | وتوكل على العزيز الرحيم وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بڑے غالب مہربان (رب) پر بھروسہ رکھیے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,-

| Words | |وتوكل - And put (your) trust| على - in| العزيز - the All-Mighty,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful,| | ||||||
| 29. [26:218] | Allathee yaraka heenataqoomu | الذي يراك حين تقوم الَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو آپ کو (رات کی تنہائیوں میں بھی) دیکھتا ہے جب آپ (نمازِ تہجد کے لئے) قیام کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer),
| ||||||
| Words | |الذي - The One Who| يراك - sees you| حين - when| تقوم - you stand up| | ||||||
| 30. [26:155] | Qala hathihi naqatunlaha shirbun walakum shirbu yawmin maAAloomin | قال هذه ناقة لها شرب ولكم شرب يوم معلوم قَالَ هَذِهِ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (صالح علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: (وہ نشانی) یہ اونٹنی ہے پانی کا ایک وقت اس کے لئے (مقرر) ہے اور ایک مقررہ دن تمہارے پانی کی باری ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "Here is a she-camel: she has a right of watering, and ye have a right of watering, (severally) on a day appointed.
