[28:47] | Walawla an tuseebahum museebatunbima qaddamat aydeehim fayaqooloo rabbana lawlaarsalta ilayna rasoolan fanattabiAAa ayatikawanakoona mina almu/mineena |  ولولا أن تصيبهم مصيبة بما قدمت أيديهم فيقولوا ربنا لولا أرسلت إلينا رسولا فنتبع آياتك ونكون من المؤمنينوَلَوْلَا أَن تُصِيبَهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ہم کوئی رسول نہ بھیجتے) اگر یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ جب انہیں کوئی مصیبت پہنچے ان کے اعمالِ بد کے باعث جو انہوں نے خود انجام دیئے تو وہ یہ نہ کہنے لگیں کہ اے ہمارے رب! تو نے ہماری طرف کوئی رسول کیوں نہ بھیجا تاکہ ہم تیری آیتوں کی پیروی کرتے اور ہم ایمان والوں میں سے ہوجاتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If (We had) not (sent thee to the Quraish),- in case a calamity should seize them for (the deeds) that their hands have sent forth, they might say: "Our Lord! why didst Thou not sent us a messenger? We should then have followed Thy Signs and been amongst those who believe!"
