| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [29:61] | Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamaralayaqoolunna Allahu faanna yu/fakoona |  ولئن سألتهم من خلق السماوات والأرض وسخر الشمس والقمر ليقولن الله فأنى يؤفكونوَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ فَأَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر آپ اِن (کفّار) سے پوچھیں کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا اور سورج اور چاند کو کس نے تابع فرمان بنا دیا، تو وہ ضرور کہہ دیں گے: اﷲ نے، پھر وہ کدھر الٹے جا رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If indeed thou ask them who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law), they will certainly reply, "Allah". How are they then deluded away (from the truth)?

| Words | |ولئن - And if| سألتهم - you ask them,| من - "Who| خلق - created| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| وسخر - and subjected| الشمس - the sun| والقمر - and the moon?"| ليقولن - Surely they would say| الله - "Allah."| فأنى - Then how| يؤفكون - are they deluded?| | ||||||
| 2. [29:62] | Allahu yabsutu alrrizqaliman yashao min AAibadihi wayaqdiru lahu inna Allahabikulli shay-in AAaleemun | الله يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء من عباده ويقدر له إن الله بكل شيء عليم اللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اﷲ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کے لئے چاہتا ہے رزق کشادہ فرما دیتا ہے، اور جس کے لئے (چاہتا ہے) تنگ کر دیتا ہے، بیشک اﷲ ہر چیز کو خوب جاننے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Allah enlarges the sustenance (which He gives) to whichever of His servants He pleases; and He (similarly) grants by (strict) measure, (as He pleases): for Allah has full knowledge of all things.

[29:63] | Wala-in saaltahum man nazzala mina alssama-imaan faahya bihi al-arda min baAAdimawtiha layaqoolunna Allahu quli alhamdulillahi bal aktharuhum la yaAAqiloona | ولئن سألتهم من نزل من السماء ماء فأحيا به الأرض من بعد موتها ليقولن الله قل الحمد لله بل أكثرهم لا يعقلون وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّن نَّزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ مِن بَعْدِ مَوْتِهَا لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر آپ ان سے پوچھیں کہ آسمان سے پانی کس نے اتارا پھر اس سے زمین کو اس کی مُردنی کے بعد حیات (اور تازگی) بخشی، تو وہ ضرور کہہ دیں گے: اﷲ نے، آپ فرما دیں: ساری تعریفیں اﷲ ہی کے لئے ہیں، بلکہ ان میں سے اکثر (لوگ) عقل نہیں رکھتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And if indeed thou ask them who it is that sends down rain from the sky, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death, they will certainly reply, "Allah!" Say, "Praise be to Allah!" But most of them understand not.

| Words | |ولئن - And if| سألتهم - you ask them,| من - "Who| نزل - sends down| من - from| السماء - the sky| ماء - water| فأحيا - and gives life| به - thereby| الأرض - (to) the earth| من - after| بعد - after| موتها - its death?"| ليقولن - Surely, they would say,| الله - "Allah."| قل - Say,| الحمد - "All Praises| لله - (are) for Allah."| بل - But| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - use reason.| | ||||||
| 4. [29:64] | Wama hathihi alhayatualddunya illa lahwun walaAAibun wa-inna alddaraal-akhirata lahiya alhayawanu law kanooyaAAlamoona | وما هذه الحياة الدنيا إلا لهو ولعب وإن الدار الآخرة لهي الحيوان لو كانوا يعلمون وَمَا هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَهْوٌ وَلَعِبٌ وَإِنَّ الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الْحَيَوَانُ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے لوگو!) یہ دنیا کی زندگی کھیل اور تماشے کے سوا کچھ نہیں ہے، اور حقیقت میں آخرت کا گھر ہی (صحیح) زندگی ہے۔ کاش! وہ لوگ (یہ راز) جانتے ہوتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | What is the life of this world but amusement and play? but verily the Home in the Hereafter,- that is life indeed, if they but knew.

| Words | |وما - And not| هذه - (is) this| الحياة - life| الدنيا - (of) the world| إلا - but| لهو - amusement| ولعب - and play.| وإن - And indeed,| الدار - the Home| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter -| لهي - surely, it| الحيوان - (is) the life,| لو - if only| كانوا - they| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||

[29:65] | Fa-itha rakiboo fee alfulki daAAawooAllaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena falammanajjahum ila albarri itha hum yushrikoona | فإذا ركبوا في الفلك دعوا الله مخلصين له الدين فلما نجاهم إلى البر إذا هم يشركون فَإِذَا رَكِبُوا فِي الْفُلْكِ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاهُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ إِذَا هُمْ يُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب وہ کشتی میں سوار ہوتے ہیں تو (مشکل وقت میں بتوں کو چھوڑ کر) صرف اﷲ کو اس کے لئے (اپنا) دین خالص کرتے ہوئے پکارتے ہیں، پھر جب اﷲ انہیں بچا کر خشکی تک پہنچا دیتا ہے تو اس وقت وہ (دوبارہ) شرک کرنے لگتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Now, if they embark on a boat, they call on Allah, making their devotion sincerely (and exclusively) to Him; but when He has delivered them safely to (dry) land, behold, they give a share (of their worship to others)!-

| Words | |فإذا - And when| ركبوا - they embark| في - [in]| الفلك - the ship,| دعوا - they call| الله - Allah| مخلصين - (being) sincere| له - to Him| الدين - (in) the religion.| فلما - But when| نجاهم - He delivers them| إلى - to| البر - the land,| إذا - behold,| هم - they| يشركون - associate partners (with Him)| | ||||||
| 6. [29:66] | Liyakfuroo bima ataynahumwaliyatamattaAAoo fasawfa yaAAlamoona | ليكفروا بما آتيناهم وليتمتعوا فسوف يعلمون لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تاکہ اس (نعمتِ نجات) کی ناشکری کریں جو ہم نے انہیں عطا کی اور (کفر کی زندگی کے حرام) فائدے اٹھاتے رہیں۔ پس وہ عنقریب (اپنا انجام) جان لیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Disdaining ungratefully Our gifts, and giving themselves up to (worldly) enjoyment! But soon will they know.

| Words | |ليكفروا - So that they may deny| بما - [in] what| آتيناهم - We have given them,| وليتمتعوا - and they may enjoy (themselves).| فسوف - But soon| يعلمون - they will know.| | ||||||
| 7. [29:67] | Awa lam yaraw anna jaAAalna haramanaminan wayutakhattafu alnnasu min hawlihimafabialbatili yu/minoona wabiniAAmati Allahiyakfuroona | أولم يروا أنا جعلنا حرما آمنا ويتخطف الناس من حولهم أفبالباطل يؤمنون وبنعمة الله يكفرون أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا حَرَمًا آمِنًا وَيُتَخَطَّفُ النَّاسُ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ أَفَبِالْبَاطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ يَكْفُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے حرمِ (کعبہ) کو جائے امان بنا دیا ہے اور اِن کے اِردگرِد کے لوگ اُچک لئے جاتے ہیں، تو کیا (پھر بھی) وہ باطل پر ایمان رکھتے اور اﷲ کے احسان کی ناشکری کرتے رہیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do they not then see that We have made a sanctuary secure, and that men are being snatched away from all around them? Then, do they believe in that which is vain, and reject the Grace of Allah?

| Words | |أولم - Do not| يروا - they see| أنا - that We| جعلنا - have made| حرما - a Sanctuary| آمنا - secure| ويتخطف - while are being taken away| الناس - the people| من - around them?| حولهم - around them?| أفبالباطل - Then do in (the) falsehood| يؤمنون - they believe| وبنعمة - and in (the) Favor| الله - (of) Allah| يكفرون - they disbelieve?| | ||||||
| 8. [29:68] | Waman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba bialhaqqilamma jaahu alaysa fee jahannama mathwan lilkafireena | ومن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا أو كذب بالحق لما جاءه أليس في جهنم مثوى للكافرين وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس شخص سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہو سکتا ہے جو اﷲ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھے یا حق کو جھٹلا دے جب وہ اس کے پاس آپہنچے۔ کیا دوزخ میں کافروں کے لئے ٹھکانہ (مقرر) نہیں ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah or rejects the Truth when it reaches him? Is there not a home in Hell for those who reject Faith?

| Words | |ومن - And who| أظلم - (is) more unjust| ممن - than (he) who| افترى - invents| على - against| الله - Allah| كذبا - a lie| أو - or| كذب - denies| بالحق - the truth| لما - when| جاءه - it has come to him.| أليس - Is there not| في - in| جهنم - Hell| مثوى - an abode| للكافرين - for the disbelievers?| | ||||||
| 9. [29:69] | Waallatheena jahadoofeena lanahdiyannahum subulana wa-inna AllahalamaAAa almuhsineena | والذين جاهدوا فينا لنهدينهم سبلنا وإن الله لمع المحسنين وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ ہمارے حق میں جہاد (اور مجاہدہ) کرتے ہیں تو ہم یقیناً انہیں اپنی (طرف سَیر اور وصول کی) راہیں دکھا دیتے ہیں، اور بیشک اﷲ صاحبانِ احسان کو اپنی معیّت سے نوازتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And those who strive in Our (cause),- We will certainly guide them to our Paths: For verily Allah is with those who do right.

| Words | |والذين - And those who| جاهدوا - strive| فينا - for Us,| لنهدينهم - We will surely, guide them| سبلنا - (to) Our ways.| وإن - And indeed,| الله - Allah| لمع - surely (is) with| المحسنين - the good-doers.| | ||||||
