| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [3:118] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tattakhithoo bitanatan min doonikum laya/loonakum khabalan waddoo ma AAanittum qad badatialbaghdao min afwahihim wama tukhfee sudooruhumakbaru qad bayyanna lakumu al-ayati inkuntum taAAqiloona |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا بطانة من دونكم لا يألونكم خبالا ودوا ما عنتم قد بدت البغضاء من أفواههم وما تخفي صدورهم أكبر قد بينا لكم الآيات إن كنتم تعقلونيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ بِطَانَةً مِّن دُونِكُمْ لاَ يَأْلُونَكُمْ خَبَالاً وَدُّواْ مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! تم غیروں کو (اپنا) راز دار نہ بناؤ وہ تمہاری نسبت فتنہ انگیزی میں (کبھی) کمی نہیں کریں گے، وہ تمہیں سخت تکلیف پہنچنے کی خواہش رکھتے ہیں، بغض تو ان کی زبانوں سے خود ظاہر ہو چکا ہے، اور جو (عداوت) ان کے سینوں نے چھپا رکھی ہے وہ اس سے (بھی) بڑھ کر ہے۔ ہم نے تمہارے لئے نشانیاں واضح کر دی ہیں اگر تمہیں عقل ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye who believe! Take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks: They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin: Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths: What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the Signs, if ye have wisdom.

The intense, hatred/animosity appeared from their mouths, and what their chests (innermosts) hide (is) greater/bigger. We have clarified to you the signs/verses/evidences if you were/are understanding . | ||||||

Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand. | ||||||
