Wama kana limu/minin walamu/minatin itha qada Allahu warasooluhuamran an yakoona lahumu alkhiyaratu min amrihim waman yaAAsiAllaha warasoolahu faqad dalla dalalanmubeenan وما كان لمؤمن ولا مؤمنة إذا قضى الله ورسوله أمرا أن يكون لهم الخيرة من أمرهم ومن يعص الله ورسوله فقد ضل ضلالا مبينا
وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَن يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا مُّبِينًا

  اور نہ کسی مومن مرد کو (یہ) حق حاصل ہے اور نہ کسی مومن عورت کو کہ جب اللہ اور اس کا رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کسی کام کا فیصلہ (یا حکم) فرما دیں تو ان کے لئے اپنے (اس) کام میں (کرنے یا نہ کرنے کا) کوئی اختیار ہو، اور جو شخص اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی نافرمانی کرتا ہے تو وہ یقیناً کھلی گمراہی میں بھٹک گیا

Yousuf AliIt is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.

SarwarThe believing men and women must not feel free to do something in their affairs other than that which has been already decided for them by God and His Messenger. One who disobeys God and His Messenger is in plain error.

Khalifa**No believing man or believing woman, if GOD and His messenger issue any command, has any choice regarding that command. Anyone who disobeys GOD and His messenger has gone far astray.
Hilali/Khan**It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.
