Falamma balagha maAAahu alssaAAyaqala ya bunayya innee ara fee almanamiannee athbahuka faonthur mathatara qala ya abati ifAAal ma tu/marusatajidunee in shaa Allahu mina alssabireena فلما بلغ معه السعي قال يا بني إني أرى في المنام أني أذبحك فانظر ماذا ترى قال يا أبت افعل ما تؤمر ستجدني إن شاء الله من الصابرين
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَى قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِي إِن شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ

  پھر جب وہ (اسماعیل علیہ السلام) ان کے ساتھ دوڑ کر چل سکنے (کی عمر) کو پہنچ گیا تو (ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: اے میرے بیٹے! میں خواب میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ میں تجھے ذبح کررہا ہوں سو غور کرو کہ تمہاری کیا رائے ہے۔ (اسماعیل علیہ السلام نے) کہا: ابّاجان! وہ کام (فوراً) کر ڈالیے جس کا آپ کو حکم دیا جا رہا ہے۔ اگر اﷲ نے چاہا تو آپ مجھے صبر کرنے والوں میں سے پائیں گے

Yousuf AliThen, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"

Shabbir Ahmed چنانچہ جب پہنچ گیا وہ ان کے ساتھ دوڑ دھوپ (کی عمر) کو تو کہا ابراہیم نے اے بیٹھے! میں دیکھتا ہوں خواب میں کہ میں تمہیں ذبح کررہا ہوں تو سوچ کر بتاؤ تمہارا کیا خیال ہے؟ بیٹے نے کہا: ابا جان! کرڈالیے وہ کام جس کا آپ کو حکم دیا جارہا ہے ضرور پائیں گے آپ مجھے انشاء اللہ صابروں میں سے۔

Mehmood Al Hassanپھر جب پہنچا اس کے ساتھ دوڑنے کو کہا اے بیٹے میں دیکھتا ہوں خواب میں کہ تجھ کو ذبح کرتا ہوں پھر دیکھ تو تو کیا دیکھتا ہے بولا اے باپ کر ڈال جو تجھ کو حکم ہوتا ہے تو مجھکو کو پائے گا اگر اللہ نے چاہا سہارنے والا
Abul Ala Maududiوہ لڑکا جب اس کے ساتھ دوڑ دھوپ کرنے کی عمر کو پہنچ گیا تو (ایک روز) ابراہیمؑ نے اس سے کہا، "بیٹا، میں خواب میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ میں تجھے ذبح کر رہا ہوں، اب تو بتا، تیرا کیا خیال ہے؟" اُس نے کہا، "ابا جان، جو کچھ آپ کو حکم دیا جا رہا ہے اسے کر ڈالیے، آپ انشاءاللہ مجھے صابروں میں سے پائیں گے"

LiteralSo when he reached the struggle/endeavor with him, he said you my son: "That I, I see/understand in the sleep/dream that I, I slaughter you/cut your throat, so look/wonder about/consider what you see/understand." He said: "You my father, make/do what you are being ordered/commanded, so you will find me, if God wills/wants from the patient."

ShakirAnd when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones.
SarwarWhen his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God".

Hilali/Khan**And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)."
