Amman huwa qanitun anaaallayli sajidan waqa-iman yahtharu al-akhiratawayarjoo rahmata rabbihi qul hal yastawee allatheenayaAAlamoona waallatheena la yaAAlamoonainnama yatathakkaru oloo al-albabi أمن هو قانت آناء الليل ساجدا وقائما يحذر الآخرة ويرجو رحمة ربه قل هل يستوي الذين يعلمون والذين لا يعلمون إنما يتذكر أولو الألباب
أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَانِتٌ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ سَاجِدًا وَقَائِمًا يَحْذَرُ الْآخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُواْ رَحْمَةَ رَبِّهِ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُوا الْأَلْبَابِ

  بھلا (یہ مشرک بہتر ہے یا) وہ (مومن) جو رات کی گھڑیوں میں سجود اور قیام کی حالت میں عبادت کرنے والا ہے، آخرت سے ڈرتا رہتا ہے اور اپنے رب کی رحمت کی امید رکھتا ہے، فرما دیجئے: کیا جو لوگ علم رکھتے ہیں اور جو لوگ علم نہیں رکھتے (سب) برابر ہوسکتے ہیں؟ بس نصیحت تو عقل مند لوگ ہی قبول کرتے ہیں

Yousuf AliIs one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like one who does not)? Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.

Ahmed Ali(کیا کافر بہتر ہے) یا وہ جو رات کے اوقات میں سجدہ اور قیام کی حالت میں عبادت کر رہا ہو آخرت سے ڈر رہا ہو اور اپنے رب کی رحمت کی امید کر رہا ہو کہہ دو کیا علم والے اور بے علم برابر ہو سکتے ہیں سمجھتے وہی ہیں جو عقل والے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khanکیا وہ جسے فرمانبرداری میں رات کی گھڑیاں گزریں سجود میں اور قیام میں آخرت سے ڈرتا اور اپنے رب کی رحمت کی آس لگائے کیا وہ نافرمانوں جیسا ہو جائے گا تم فرماؤ کیا برابر ہیں جاننے والے اور انجان، نصیحت تو وہی مانتے ہیں جو عقل والے ہیں،
Shabbir Ahmed (بھلا یہ شخص بہتر ہے؟) یا وہ جو مطیع فرمان بن کر، رات کی گھڑیوں میں سجدہ کرتا ہے اور کھڑا رہتا ہے (اللہ کے حضور) ڈرتا ہے آخرت سے اور امیدوار رہتا ہے اپنے رب کی رحمت کا۔ ان سے پوچھو کہیں برابر ہوسکتے ہیں وہ لوگ جو جاننے والے ہیں اور وہ جو کچھ نہیں جانتے؟ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ نصیحت قبول کرتے ہیں صرف وہ لوگ جو عقل والے ہیں۔

Abul Ala Maududi(کیا اِس شخص کی روش بہتر ہے یا اُس شخص کی) جو مطیع فرمان ہے، رات کی گھڑیوں میں کھڑا رہتا اور سجدے کرتا ہے، آخرت سے ڈرتا اور اپنے رب کی رحمت سے امید لگاتا ہے؟ اِن سے پوچھو، کیا جاننے والے اور نہ جاننے والے دونوں کبھی یکساں ہو سکتے ہیں؟ نصیحت تو عقل رکھنے والے ہی قبول کرتے ہیں
