Waqaloo quloobuna fee akinnatinmimma tadAAoona ilayhi wafee athaninawaqrun wamin baynina wabaynika hijabun faiAAmalinnana AAamiloona وقالوا قلوبنا في أكنة مما تدعونا إليه وفي آذاننا وقر ومن بيننا وبينك حجاب فاعمل إننا عاملون
وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِن بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ

  اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے دل اُس چیز سے غلافوں میں ہیں جس کی طرف آپ ہمیں بلاتے ہیں اور ہمارے کانوں میں (بہرے پن کا) بوجھ ہے اور ہمارے اور آپ کے درمیان پردہ ہے سو آپ (اپنا) عمل کرتے رہئے ہم اپنا عمل کرنے والے ہیں

Yousuf AliThey say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)"

Ahmed Aliاور کہتے ہیں ہمارے دل اس بات سے کہ جس کی طرف تو ہمیں بلاتا ہے پردوں میں ہیں اور ہمارے کانوں میں بوجھ ہے اور ہمارے اور آپ کے درمیان پردہ پڑا ہوا ہے پھر آپ اپنا کام کیے جائیں ہم بھی اپنا کام کر رہے ہیں
Ahmed Raza Khanاور بولے ہمارے دل غلاف میں ہیں اس بات سے جس کی طرف تم ہمیں بلاتے ہو اور ہمارے کانوں میں ٹینٹ (روئی) ہے اور ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان روک ہے تو تم اپنا کام کرو ہم اپنا کام کرتے ہیں
Shabbir Ahmed اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے دلوں پر غلاف چڑھے ہوئے ہیں ان باتوں کے لیے جن کی طرف تم ہمیں بلا رہے ہو اور ہمارے کان بہرے ہوگئے ہیں اور ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان پردہ حائل ہوگیا ہے سو تم بھی اپنا کام کیے جاؤ ہم اپنا کام کیے جائیں گے۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyاور کہتے ہیں کہ جس چیز کی طرف تم ہمیں بلاتے ہو اس سے ہمارے دل پردوں میں ہیں اور ہمارے کانوں میں بوجھ (یعنی بہراپن) ہے اور ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان پردہ ہے تو تم (اپنا) کام کرو ہم (اپنا) کام کرتے ہیں
Mehmood Al Hassanاور کہتے ہیں ہمارے دل غلاف میں ہیں اس بات سے جسکی طرف تو ہم کو بلاتا ہے اور ہمارے کانوں میں بوجھ ہے اور ہمارے اور تیرے بیچ میں پردہ ہے سو تو اپنا کام کر ہم اپنا کام کرتے ہیں
Abul Ala Maududiکہتے ہیں "جس چیز کی طرف تو ہمیں بلا رہا ہے اس کے لیے ہمارے دلوں پر غلاف چڑھے ہوئے ہیں، ہمارے کان بہرے ہو گئے ہیں، اور ہمارے اور تیرے درمیان ایک حجاب حائل ہو گیا ہے تو اپنا کام کر، ہم اپنا کام کیے جائیں گے"

Hilali/Khan**And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)."
