| 3. [43:3] | Inna jaAAalnahu qur-ananAAarabiyyan laAAallakum taAAqiloona | إنا جعلناه قرآنا عربيا لعلكم تعقلون إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ہم نے اسے عربی (زبان) کا قرآن بنایا ہے تاکہ تم لوگ سمجھ سکو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We have made it a Qur'an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand (and learn wisdom).

| 4. [43:4] | Wa-innahu fee ommi alkitabi ladaynalaAAaliyyun hakeemun | وإنه في أم الكتاب لدينا لعلي حكيم وَإِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک وہ ہمارے پاس سب کتابوں کی اصل (لوحِ محفوظ) میں ثَبت ہے یقیناً (یہ سب کتابوں پر) بلند مرتبہ بڑی حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom.

| 5. [43:5] | Afanadribu AAankumu alththikrasafhan an kuntum qawman musrifeena | أفنضرب عنكم الذكر صفحا أن كنتم قوما مسرفين أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کیا ہم اس نصیحت کو تم سے اِس بنا پر روک دیں کہ تم حد سے گزر جانے والی قوم ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Shall We then take away the Message from you and repel (you), for that ye are a people transgressing beyond bounds?

| 6. [43:6] | Wakam arsalna min nabiyyin feeal-awwaleena | وكم أرسلنا من نبي في الأولين وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِيٍّ فِي الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور پہلے لوگوں میں ہم نے کتنے ہی پیغمبر بھیجے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But how many were the prophets We sent amongst the peoples of old?
| ||||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أرسلنا - We sent| من - of| نبي - a Prophet| في - among| الأولين - the former (people),| | ||||||
| 7. [43:14] | Wa-inna ila rabbinalamunqaliboona | وإنا إلى ربنا لمنقلبون وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم اپنے رب کی طرف ضرور لوٹ کر جانے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And to our Lord, surely, must we turn back!"

| Words | |وإنا - And indeed, we| إلى - to| ربنا - our Lord,| لمنقلبون - will surely return."| | ||||||
| 8. [43:56] | FajaAAalnahum salafan wamathalan lil-akhireena | فجعلناهم سلفا ومثلا للآخرين فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِلْآخِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو ہم نے انہیں گیا گزرا کر دیا اور پیچھے آنے والوں کے لئے نمونۂ عبرت بنا دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We made them (a people) of the Past and an Example to later ages.
| ||||||
| Words | |فجعلناهم - And We made them| سلفا - a precedent| ومثلا - and an example| للآخرين - for the later (generations).| | ||||||
| 9. [43:7] | Wama ya/teehim min nabiyyin illakanoo bihi yastahzi-oona | وما يأتيهم من نبي إلا كانوا به يستهزئون وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کوئی نبی اُن کے پاس نہیں آتا تھا مگر وہ اُس کا مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And never came there a prophet to them but they mocked him.
| ||||||
| Words | |وما - And not| يأتيهم - came to them| من - any Prophet| نبي - any Prophet| إلا - but| كانوا - they used to| به - mock at him.| يستهزئون - mock at him.| | ||||||
| 10. [43:8] | Faahlakna ashadda minhum batshanwamada mathalu al-awwaleena | فأهلكنا أشد منهم بطشا ومضى مثل الأولين فَأَهْلَكْنَا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَمَضَى مَثَلُ الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے اِن (کفّارِ مکہ) سے زیادہ زور آور لوگوں کو ہلاک کر دیا اور اگلے لوگوں کا حال (کئی جگہ پہلے) گزر چکا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old.

| 11. [43:9] | Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda layaqoolunna khalaqahunna alAAazeezualAAaleemu | ولئن سألتهم من خلق السماوات والأرض ليقولن خلقهن العزيز العليم وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيزُ الْعَلِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر آپ اُن سے پوچھیں کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کو کِس نے پیدا کیا تو وہ یقیناً کہیں گے کہ انہیں غالب، علم والے (رب) نے پیدا کیا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If thou wert to question them, 'Who created the heavens and the earth?' They would be sure to reply, 'they were created by (Him), the Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge';-

| 12. [43:10] | Allathee jaAAala lakumu al-ardamahdan wajaAAala lakum feeha subulan laAAallakum tahtadoona | الذي جعل لكم الأرض مهدا وجعل لكم فيها سبلا لعلكم تهتدون الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو بچھونا بنایا اور اس میں تمہارے لئے راستے بنائے تاکہ تم منزلِ مقصود تک پہنچ سکو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Yea, the same that) has made for you the earth (like a carpet) spread out, and has made for you roads (and channels) therein, in order that ye may find guidance (on the way);

| 13. [43:11] | Waallathee nazzala mina alssama-imaan biqadarin faansharna bihi baldatan maytan kathalikatukhrajoona | والذي نزل من السماء ماء بقدر فأنشرنا به بلدة ميتا كذلك تخرجون وَالَّذِي نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جس نے آسمان سے اندازۂ (ضرورت) کے مطابق پانی اتارا، پھر ہم نے اس سے مُردہ شہر کو زندہ کر دیا، اسی طرح تم (بھی مرنے کے بعد زمین سے) نکالے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That sends down (from time to time) rain from the sky in due measure;- and We raise to life therewith a land that is dead; even so will ye be raised (from the dead);-

| 14. [43:12] | Waallathee khalaqa al-azwajakullaha wajaAAala lakum mina alfulki waal-anAAamima tarkaboona | والذي خلق الأزواج كلها وجعل لكم من الفلك والأنعام ما تركبون وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جس نے تمام اقسام و اصناف کی مخلوق پیدا کی اور تمہارے لئے کشتیاں اور بحری جہاز بنائے اور چوپائے بنائے جن پر تم (بحر و بر میں) سوار ہوتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That has created pairs in all things, and has made for you ships and cattle on which ye ride,

| Words | |والذي - And the One Who| خلق - created| الأزواج - the pairs| كلها - all of them| وجعل - and made| لكم - for you| من - [of]| الفلك - the ships| والأنعام - and the cattle| ما - what| تركبون - you ride,| | ||||||
| 15. [43:15] | WajaAAaloo lahu min AAibadihi juz-aninna al-insana lakafoorun mubeenun | وجعلوا له من عباده جزءا إن الإنسان لكفور مبين وَجَعَلُوا لَهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ جُزْءًا إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اُن (مشرکوں) نے اس کے بندوں میں سے (بعض کو اس کی اولاد قرار دے کر) اس کے جزو بنا دیئے، بیشک انسان صریحاً بڑا ناشکر گزار ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Yet they attribute to some of His servants a share with Him (in his godhead)! truly is man a blasphemous ingrate avowed!

| Words | |وجعلوا - But they attribute| له - to Him| من - from| عباده - His slaves| جزءا - a portion.| إن - Indeed,| الإنسان - man| لكفور - surely (is) clearly ungrateful.| مبين - surely (is) clearly ungrateful.| | ||||||

[43:13] | Litastawoo AAala thuhoorihithumma tathkuroo niAAmata rabbikum itha istawaytumAAalayhi wataqooloo subhana allathee sakhkhara lanahatha wama kunna lahu muqrineena | لتستووا على ظهوره ثم تذكروا نعمة ربكم إذا استويتم عليه وتقولوا سبحان الذي سخر لنا هذا وما كنا له مقرنين لِتَسْتَوُوا عَلَى ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا سُبْحانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تاکہ تم ان کی پشتوں (یا نشستوں) پر درست ہو کر بیٹھ سکو، پھر تم اپنے رب کی نعمت کو یاد کرو، جب تم سکون سے اس (سواری کی نشست) پر بیٹھ جاؤ تو کہو: پاک ہے وہ ذات جس نے اِس کو ہمارے تابع کر دیا حالانکہ ہم اِسے قابو میں نہیں لا سکتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In order that ye may sit firm and square on their backs, and when so seated, ye may celebrate the (kind) favour of your Lord, and say, "Glory to Him Who has subjected these to our (use), for we could never have accomplished this (by ourselves),

| Words | |لتستووا - That you may sit firmly,| على - on| ظهوره - their backs,| ثم - then| تذكروا - remember| نعمة - (the) favor| ربكم - (of) your Lord| إذا - when| استويتم - you sit firmly| عليه - on them| وتقولوا - and say,| سبحان - "Glory be (to)| الذي - the One Who| سخر - (has) subjected| لنا - to us| هذا - this,| وما - and not| كنا - we were| له - of it| مقرنين - capable.| | ||||||
| 17. [43:16] | Ami ittakhatha mimma yakhluqubanatin waasfakum bialbaneena | أم اتخذ مما يخلق بنات وأصفاكم بالبنين أَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ وَأَصْفَاكُم بِالْبَنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے کافرو! اپنے پیمانۂ فکر کے مطابق یہی جواب دو کہ) کیا اس نے اپنی مخلوقات میں سے (خود اپنے لئے تو) بیٹیاں بنا رکھی ہیں اور تمہیں بیٹوں کے ساتھ مختص کر رکھا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | What! has He taken daughters out of what He himself creates, and granted to you sons for choice?

| Words | |أم - Or| اتخذ - has He taken| مما - of what,| يخلق - He has created,| بنات - daughters| وأصفاكم - and He has chosen (for) you| بالبنين - sons.| | ||||||
| 18. [43:17] | Wa-itha bushshira ahaduhum bimadaraba lilrrahmani mathalan thallawajhuhu muswaddan wahuwa katheemun | وإذا بشر أحدهم بما ضرب للرحمن مثلا ظل وجهه مسودا وهو كظيم وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | حالانکہ جب ان میں سے کسی کو اُس (کے گھر میں بیٹی کی پیدائش) کی خبر دی جاتی ہے جسے انہوں نے (خدائے) رحمان کی شبیہ بنا رکھا ہے تو اس کا چہرہ سیاہ ہو جاتا ہے اور غم و غصّہ سے بھر جاتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When news is brought to one of them of (the birth of) what he sets up as a likeness to (Allah) Most Gracious, his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief!

| Words | |وإذا - And when| بشر - is given good news,| أحدهم - (to) one of them,| بما - of what| ضرب - he sets up| للرحمن - for the Most Gracious| مثلا - (as) a likeness,| ظل - becomes| وجهه - his face| مسودا - dark| وهو - and he| كظيم - (is) filled with grief.| | ||||||
| 19. [43:18] | Awaman yunashshao fee alhilyatiwahuwa fee alkhisami ghayru mubeenin | أومن ينشأ في الحلية وهو في الخصام غير مبين أَوَمَن يُنَشَّأُ فِي الْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِي الْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کیا (اللہ اپنے امور میں شراکت و معاونت کے لئے اسے اولاد بنائے گا) جو زیور و زینت میں پرورش پائے اور (نرمیٔ طبع اور شرم و حیاء کے باعث) جھگڑے میں واضح (رائے کا اظہار کرنے والی بھی) نہ ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Is then one brought up among trinkets, and unable to give a clear account in a dispute (to be associated with Allah)?

| Words | |أومن - Then (is one) who| ينشأ - is brought up| في - in| الحلية - ornaments| وهو - and he| في - in| الخصام - the dispute| غير - (is) not| مبين - clear.| | ||||||

[43:19] | WajaAAaloo almala-ikata allatheenahum AAibadu alrrahmani inathanashahidoo khalqahum satuktabu shahadatuhum wayus-aloona | وجعلوا الملائكة الذين هم عباد الرحمن إناثا أشهدوا خلقهم ستكتب شهادتهم ويسألون وَجَعَلُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَادُ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنَاثًا أَشَهِدُوا خَلْقَهُمْ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَادَتُهُمْ وَيُسْأَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور انہوں نے فرشتوں کو جو کہ (خدائے) رحمان کے بندے ہیں عورتیں قرار دیا ہے، کیا وہ اُن کی پیدائش پر حاضر تھے؟ (نہیں، تو) اب اُن کی گواہی لکھ لی جائے گی اور (روزِ قیامت) اُن سے باز پُرس ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And they make into females angels who themselves serve Allah. Did they witness their creation? Their evidence will be recorded, and they will be called to account!

| Words | |وجعلوا - And they made,| الملائكة - the Angels,| الذين - those who| هم - themselves| عباد - (are) slaves| الرحمن - (of) the Most Gracious,| إناثا - females.| أشهدوا - Did they witness| خلقهم - their creation?| ستكتب - Will be recorded| شهادتهم - their testimony,| ويسألون - and they will be questioned.| | ||||||

[43:20] | Waqaloo law shaa alrrahmanuma AAabadnahum ma lahum bithalika minAAilmin in hum illa yakhrusoona | وقالوا لو شاء الرحمن ما عبدناهم ما لهم بذلك من علم إن هم إلا يخرصون وَقَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ الرَّحْمَنُ مَا عَبَدْنَاهُم مَّا لَهُم بِذَلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اگر رحمان چاہتا تو ہم اِن (بتوں) کی پرستش نہ کرتے، انہیں اِس کا (بھی) کچھ علم نہیں ہے وہ محض اَٹکل سے جھوٹی باتیں کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | ("Ah!") they say, "If it had been the will of (Allah) Most Gracious, we should not have worshipped such (deities)!" Of that they have no knowledge! they do nothing but lie!

| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| لو - "If| شاء - had willed| الرحمن - the Most Gracious,| ما - we would not have worshipped them."| عبدناهم - we would not have worshipped them."| ما - Not| لهم - they have| بذلك - about that| من - any| علم - knowledge.| إن - Nothing| هم - they (do)| إلا - but| يخرصون - lie.| | ||||||
| 22. [43:21] | Am ataynahum kitabanmin qablihi fahum bihi mustamsikoona | أم آتيناهم كتابا من قبله فهم به مستمسكون أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا مِّن قَبْلِهِ فَهُم بِهِ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ہم نے انہیں اس سے پہلے کوئی کتاب دے رکھی ہے کہ جسے وہ سند کے طور پر تھامے ہوئے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | What! have We given them a Book before this, to which they are holding fast?

| Words | |أم - Or| آتيناهم - have We given them| كتابا - a book| من - before it,| قبله - before it,| فهم - so they| به - to it| مستمسكون - (are) holding fast?| | ||||||
| 23. [43:22] | Bal qaloo inna wajadna abaanaAAala ommatin wa-inna AAala atharihimmuhtadoona | بل قالوا إنا وجدنا آباءنا على أمة وإنا على آثارهم مهتدون بَلْ قَالُوا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِم مُّهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (نہیں) بلکہ وہ کہتے ہیں: بیشک ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو ایک ملّت (و مذہب) پر پایا اور یقیناً ہم انہی کے نقوشِ قدم پر (چلتے ہوئے) ہدایت یافتہ ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nay! they say: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we do guide ourselves by their footsteps."

[43:23] | Wakathalika ma arsalnamin qablika fee qaryatin min natheerin illa qalamutrafooha inna wajadna abaanaAAala ommatin wa-inna AAala atharihimmuqtadoona | وكذلك ما أرسلنا من قبلك في قرية من نذير إلا قال مترفوها إنا وجدنا آباءنا على أمة وإنا على آثارهم مقتدون وَكَذَلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسی طرح ہم نے کسی بستی میں آپ سے پہلے کوئی ڈر سنانے والا نہیں بھیجا مگر وہاں کے وڈیروں اور خوشحال لوگوں نے کہا: بیشک ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو ایک طریقہ و مذہب پر پایا اور ہم یقیناً انہی کے نقوشِ قدم کی اقتداء کرنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Just in the same way, whenever We sent a Warner before thee to any people, the wealthy ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we will certainly follow in their footsteps."

[43:24] | Qala awa law ji/tukum bi-ahdamimma wajadtum AAalayhi abaakum qalooinna bima orsiltum bihi kafiroona | قال أولو جئتكم بأهدى مما وجدتم عليه آباءكم قالوا إنا بما أرسلتم به كافرون قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَى مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَكُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (پیغمبر نے) کہا: اگرچہ میں تمہارے پاس اُس (طریقہ) سے بہتر ہدایت کا (دین اور) طریقہ لے آؤں جس پر تم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا تھا، تو انہوں نے کہا: جو کچھ (بھی) تم دے کر بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اُس کے منکر ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "What! Even if I brought you better guidance than that which ye found your fathers following?" They said: "For us, we deny that ye (prophets) are sent (on a mission at all)."

| 26. [43:25] | Faintaqamna minhum faonthurkayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena | فانتقمنا منهم فانظر كيف كان عاقبة المكذبين فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو ہم نے اُن سے بدلہ لے لیا پس آپ دیکھئے کہ جھٹلانے والوں کا انجام کیسا ہوا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We exacted retribution from them: now see what was the end of those who rejected (Truth)!

| 27. [43:26] | Wa-ith qala ibraheemuli-abeehi waqawmihi innanee baraon mimma taAAbudoona | وإذ قال إبراهيم لأبيه وقومه إنني براء مما تعبدون وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ إِنَّنِي بَرَاءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے اپنے (حقیقی چچا مگر پرورش کی نسبت سے) باپ اور اپنی قوم سے فرمایا: بیشک میں اُن سب چیزوں سے بیزار ہوں جنہیں تم پوجتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold! Abraham said to his father and his people: "I do indeed clear myself of what ye worship:

| 28. [43:27] | Illa allathee fataraneefa-innahu sayahdeeni | إلا الذي فطرني فإنه سيهدين إِلَّا الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهْدِينِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بجز اس ذات کے جس نے مجھے پیدا کیا، سو وہی مجھے عنقریب راستہ دکھائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "(I worship) only Him Who made me, and He will certainly guide me."

| Words | |إلا - Except| الذي - the One Who| فطرني - created me;| فإنه - and indeed, He| سيهدين - will guide me."| | ||||||
| 29. [43:28] | WajaAAalaha kalimatan baqiyatanfee AAaqibihi laAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وجعلها كلمة باقية في عقبه لعلهم يرجعون وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِي عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے اس (کلمۂ توحید) کو اپنی نسل و ذریّت میں باقی رہنے والا کلمہ بنا دیا تاکہ وہ (اللہ کی طرف) رجوع کرتے رہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And he left it as a Word to endure among those who came after him, that they may turn back (to Allah).

| 30. [43:29] | Bal mattaAAtu haola-i waabaahumhatta jaahumu alhaqqu warasoolunmubeenun | بل متعت هؤلاء وآباءهم حتى جاءهم الحق ورسول مبين بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّى جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بلکہ میں نے انہیں اور اِن کے آباء و اجداد کو (اسی ابراہیم علیہ السلام کے تصدّق اور واسطہ سے اِس دنیا میں) فائدہ پہنچایا ہے یہاں تک کہ اِن کے پاس حق (یعنی قرآن) اور واضح و روشن بیان والا رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تشریف لے آیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Yea, I have given the good things of this life to these (men) and their fathers, until the Truth has come to them, and a messenger making things clear.
