| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [44:21] | Wa-in lam tu/minoo lee faiAAtazilooni |  وإن لم تؤمنوا لي فاعتزلونوَإِنْ لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا لِي فَاعْتَزِلُونِ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر تم مجھ پر ایمان نہیں لاتے تو مجھ سے کنارہ کش ہو جاؤ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "If ye believe me not, at least keep yourselves away from me."

| Words | |وإن - And if| لم - not| تؤمنوا - you believe| لي - me,| فاعتزلون - then leave me alone."| | ||||||
| 2. [44:22] | FadaAAa rabbahu anna haola-iqawmun mujrimoona | فدعا ربه أن هؤلاء قوم مجرمون فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ مُّجْرِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر انہوں نے اپنے رب سے دعا کی کہ بیشک یہ لوگ مجرم قوم ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (But they were aggressive:) then he cried to his Lord: "These are indeed a people given to sin."

| Words | |فدعا - So he called| ربه - his Lord,| أن - "That| هؤلاء - these| قوم - (are) a people| مجرمون - criminals."| | ||||||
| 3. [44:23] | Faasri biAAibadee laylan innakummuttabaAAoona | فأسر بعبادي ليلا إنكم متبعون فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيْلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ارشاد ہوا:) پھر تم میرے بندوں کو راتوں رات لے کر چلے جاؤ بیشک تمہارا تعاقب کیا جائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (The reply came:) "March forth with My Servants by night: for ye are sure to be pursued.

| Words | |فأسر - Then "Set out| بعبادي - with My slaves| ليلا - (by) night.| إنكم - Indeed, you| متبعون - (will be) followed.| | ||||||
| 4. [44:24] | Waotruki albahra rahwaninnahum jundun mughraqoona | واترك البحر رهوا إنهم جند مغرقون وَاتْرُكِ الْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌ مُّغْرَقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (خود گزر جانے کے بعد) دریا کو ساکن اور کھلا چھوڑ دینا، بیشک وہ ایسا لشکر ہے جسے ڈبو دیا جائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And leave the sea as a furrow (divided): for they are a host (destined) to be drowned."

| Words | |واترك - And leave| البحر - the sea| رهوا - at rest.| إنهم - Indeed, they| جند - (are) an army| مغرقون - (to be) drowned."| | ||||||
| 5. [44:25] | Kam tarakoo min jannatin waAAuyoonin | كم تركوا من جنات وعيون كَمْ تَرَكُوا مِن جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کتنے ہی باغات اور چشمے چھوڑ گئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | How many were the gardens and springs they left behind,
| ||||||
| Words | |كم - How many| تركوا - (did) they leave| من - of| جنات - gardens| وعيون - and springs,| | ||||||
| 6. [44:29] | Fama bakat AAalayhimu alssamaowaal-ardu wama kanoo munthareena | فما بكت عليهم السماء والأرض وما كانوا منظرين فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنظَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر نہ (تو) اُن پر آسمان اور زمین روئے اور نہ ہی انہیں مہلت دی گئی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And neither heaven nor earth shed a tear over them: nor were they given a respite (again).

| Words | |فما - And not| بكت - wept| عليهم - for them| السماء - the heaven| والأرض - and the earth| وما - and not| كانوا - they were| منظرين - given respite.| | ||||||
| 7. [44:30] | Walaqad najjayna banee isra-eelamina alAAathabi almuheeni | ولقد نجينا بني إسرائيل من العذاب المهين وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور واقعتہً ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو ذِلّت انگیز عذاب سے نجات بخشی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment,

| Words | |ولقد - And certainly,| نجينا - We saved| بني - (the) Children of Israel| إسرائيل - (the) Children of Israel| من - from| العذاب - the punishment| المهين - the humiliating,| | ||||||
| 8. [44:31] | Min firAAawna innahu kana AAaliyanmina almusrifeena | من فرعون إنه كان عاليا من المسرفين مِن فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرعون سے، بیشک وہ بڑا سرکش، حد سے گزرنے والوں میں سے تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors.

| Words | |من - From| فرعون - Firaun.| إنه - Indeed, he| كان - was| عاليا - arrogant| من - among| المسرفين - the transgressors.| | ||||||
| 9. [44:32] | Walaqadi ikhtarnahum AAalaAAilmin AAala alAAalameena | ولقد اخترناهم على علم على العالمين وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے ان (بنی اسرائیل) کو علم کی بنا پر ساری دنیا (کی معاصر تہذیبوں) پر چُن لیا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly,
| ||||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| اخترناهم - We chose them| على - by| علم - knowledge| على - over| العالمين - the worlds.| | ||||||
| 10. [44:33] | Waataynahum mina al-ayatima feehi balaon mubeenun | وآتيناهم من الآيات ما فيه بلاء مبين وَآتَيْنَاهُم مِّنَ الْآيَاتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَاءٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے انہیں وہ نشانیاں عطا فرمائیں جن میں ظاہری نعمت (اور صریح آزمائش) تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial
| ||||||
| Words | |وآتيناهم - And We gave them| من - of| الآيات - the Signs| ما - that| فيه - in it| بلاء - (was) a trial| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 11. [44:35] | In hiya illa mawtatuna al-oolawama nahnu bimunshareena | إن هي إلا موتتنا الأولى وما نحن بمنشرين إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا الْأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کہ ہماری پہلی موت کے سوا (بعد میں) کچھ نہیں ہے اور ہم (دوبارہ) نہیں اٹھائے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again.

| Words | |إن - "Not| هي - it| إلا - (is) but| موتتنا - our death| الأولى - the first| وما - and not| نحن - we| بمنشرين - (will be) raised again.| | ||||||
| 12. [44:36] | Fa/too bi-aba-ina inkuntum sadiqeena | فأتوا بآبائنا إن كنتم صادقين فَأْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو تم ہمارے باپ دادا کو (زندہ کر کے) لے آؤ، اگر تم سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!"

| Words | |فأتوا - Then bring| بآبائنا - our forefathers,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful."| | ||||||
| 13. [44:37] | Ahum khayrun am qawmu tubbaAAin waallatheenamin qablihim ahlaknahum innahum kanoo mujrimeena | أهم خير أم قوم تبع والذين من قبلهم أهلكناهم إنهم كانوا مجرمين أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بھلا یہ لوگ بہتر ہیں یا (بادشاہِ یمن اسعد ابوکریب) تُبّع (الحمیری) کی قوم اور وہ لوگ جو اِن سے پہلے تھے، ہم نے اُن (سب) کو ہلاک کر ڈالا تھا، بیشک وہ لوگ مجرم تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin.

| Words | |أهم - Are they| خير - better| أم - or| قوم - (the) people| تبع - (of) Tubba| والذين - and those| من - before them?| قبلهم - before them?| أهلكناهم - We destroyed them,| إنهم - indeed, they| كانوا - were| مجرمين - criminals.| | ||||||
| 14. [44:38] | Wama khalaqna alssamawatiwaal-arda wama baynahuma laAAibeena | وما خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما لاعبين وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو اور جو کچھ اِن کے درمیان ہے اسے محض کھیلتے ہوئے نہیں بنایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport:

| Words | |وما - And not| خلقنا - We created| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| وما - and whatever| بينهما - (is) between them| لاعبين - (in) play.| | ||||||
| 15. [44:39] | Ma khalaqnahuma illabialhaqqi walakinna aktharahum layaAAlamoona | ما خلقناهما إلا بالحق ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون مَا خَلَقْنَاهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہم نے دونوں کو حق کے (مقصد و حکمت کے) ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے لیکن اُن کے اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand.
| ||||||
| Words | |ما - Not| خلقناهما - We created both of them| إلا - but| بالحق - in [the] truth,| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 16. [44:40] | Inna yawma alfasli meeqatuhumajmaAAeena | إن يوم الفصل ميقاتهم أجمعين إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک فیصلہ کا دن، اُن سب کے لئے مقررّہ وقت ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,-
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| يوم - (the) Day of Judgment| الفصل - (the) Day of Judgment| ميقاتهم - (is) an appointed term for them| أجمعين - all.| | ||||||
| 17. [44:41] | Yawma la yughnee mawlan AAan mawlanshay-an wala hum yunsaroona | يوم لا يغني مولى عن مولى شيئا ولا هم ينصرون يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس دن کوئی دوست کسی دوست کے کچھ کام نہ آئے گا اور نہ ہی اُن کی مدد کی جائے گی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive,
| ||||||
| Words | |يوم - (The) Day| لا - not| يغني - will avail| مولى - a relation| عن - for| مولى - a relation| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينصرون - will be helped.| | ||||||
| 18. [44:42] | Illa man rahima Allahuinnahu huwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu | إلا من رحم الله إنه هو العزيز الرحيم إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ اللَّهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سوائے اُن کے جن پر اللہ نے رحمت فرمائی ہے (وہ ایک دوسرے کی شفاعت کریں گے)، بیشک وہ بڑا غالب بہت رحم فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.

| Words | |إلا - Except,| من - (on) whom| رحم - Allah has mercy.| الله - Allah has mercy.| إنه - Indeed, He| هو - [He]| العزيز - (is) the All-Mighty,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 19. [44:47] | Khuthoohu faiAAtiloohu ilasawa-i aljaheemi | خذوه فاعتلوه إلى سواء الجحيم خُذُوهُ فَاعْتِلُوهُ إِلَى سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (حکم ہوگا:) اس کو پکڑ لو اور دوزخ کے وسط تک اسے زور سے گھسیٹتے ہوئے لے جاؤ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (A voice will cry: "Seize ye him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire!

| Words | |خذوه - "Seize him| فاعتلوه - and drag him| إلى - into| سواء - (the) midst| الجحيم - (of) the Hellfire,| | ||||||
| 20. [44:48] | Thumma subboo fawqa ra/sihi min AAathabialhameemi | ثم صبوا فوق رأسه من عذاب الحميم ثُمَّ صُبُّوا فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر اِس کے سَر پر کھولتے ہوئے پانی کا عذاب ڈالو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water,
| ||||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| صبوا - pour| فوق - over| رأسه - his head| من - of| عذاب - (the) punishment| الحميم - (of) the scalding water.| | ||||||
| 21. [44:49] | Thuq innaka anta alAAazeezu alkareemu | ذق إنك أنت العزيز الكريم ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْكَرِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | مَزہ چکھ لے، ہاں تُو ہی (اپنے گمان اور دعوٰی میں) بڑا معزّز و مکرّم ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour!

| Words | |ذق - Taste!| إنك - Indeed, you| أنت - [you] (were)| العزيز - the mighty,| الكريم - the noble.| | ||||||
| 22. [44:50] | Inna hatha ma kuntum bihitamtaroona | إن هذا ما كنتم به تمترون إِنَّ هَذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تَمْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک یہ وہی (دوزخ) ہے جس میں تم شک کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!"

| Words | |إن - Indeed,| هذا - this| ما - (is) what| كنتم - you used to| به - [about it]| تمترون - doubt."| | ||||||
| 23. [44:51] | Inna almuttaqeena fee maqamin ameenin | إن المتقين في مقام أمين إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک پرہیزگار لوگ اَمن والے مقام میں ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security,
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| المتقين - the righteous| في - (will be) in| مقام - a place| أمين - secure,| | ||||||
| 24. [44:53] | Yalbasoona min sundusin wa-istabraqin mutaqabileena | يلبسون من سندس وإستبرق متقابلين يَلْبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | باریک اور دبیز ریشم کا لباس پہنے ہوں گے، آمنے سامنے بیٹھے ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, they will face each other;
| ||||||
| Words | |يلبسون - Wearing garments| من - of| سندس - fine silk| وإستبرق - and heavy silk,| متقابلين - facing each other.| | ||||||
| 25. [44:54] | Kathalika wazawwajnahum bihoorinAAeenin | كذلك وزوجناهم بحور عين كَذَلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اسی طرح (ہی) ہوگا، اور ہم انہیں گوری رنگت والی کشادہ چشم حوروں سے بیاہ دیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes.
| ||||||
| Words | |كذلك - Thus.| وزوجناهم - And We will marry them| بحور - (to) companions with beautiful eyes.| عين - (to) companions with beautiful eyes.| | ||||||
| 26. [44:55] | YadAAoona feeha bikulli fakihatinamineena | يدعون فيها بكل فاكهة آمنين يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ آمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہاں (بیٹھے) اطمینان سے ہر طرح کے پھل اور میوے طلب کرتے ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security;
| ||||||
| Words | |يدعون - They will call| فيها - therein| بكل - for every (kind)| فاكهة - (of) fruit,| آمنين - secure.| | ||||||
| 27. [44:56] | La yathooqoona feehaalmawta illa almawtata al-oola wawaqahum AAathabaaljaheemi | لا يذوقون فيها الموت إلا الموتة الأولى ووقاهم عذاب الجحيم لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا الْمَوْتَ إِلَّا الْمَوْتَةَ الْأُولَى وَوَقَاهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس (جنت) میں موت کا مَزہ نہیں چکھیں گے سوائے (اس) پہلی موت کے (جو گزر چکی ہوگی) اور اللہ انہیں دوزخ کے عذاب سے بچا لے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,-

| Words | |لا - Not| يذوقون - they will taste| فيها - therein| الموت - the death| إلا - except| الموتة - the death| الأولى - the first.| ووقاهم - And He will protect them| عذاب - (from the) punishment| الجحيم - (of) the Hellfire,| | ||||||
| 28. [44:57] | Fadlan min rabbika thalikahuwa alfawzu alAAatheemu | فضلا من ربك ذلك هو الفوز العظيم فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّكَ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ آپ کے رب کا فضل ہے (یعنی آپ کا رب آپ کے وسیلے سے ہی عطا کرے گا)، یہی بہت بڑی کامیابی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement!
| ||||||
| Words | |فضلا - A Bounty| من - from| ربك - your Lord.| ذلك - That -| هو - it| الفوز - (will be) the success| العظيم - the great.| | ||||||
| 29. [44:58] | Fa-innama yassarnahu bilisanikalaAAallahum yatathakkaroona | فإنما يسرناه بلسانك لعلهم يتذكرون فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بس ہم نے آپ ہی کی زبان میں اس (قرآن) کو آسان کر دیا ہے تاکہ وہ نصیحت حاصل کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily, We have made this (Qur'an) easy, in thy tongue, in order that they may give heed.

| Words | |فإنما - Indeed,| يسرناه - We have made it easy| بلسانك - in your tongue| لعلهم - so that they may| يتذكرون - take heed.| | ||||||
