1. [46:28] | Falawla nasarahumu allatheenaittakhathoo min dooni Allahi qurbanan alihatanbal dalloo AAanhum wathalika ifkuhum wama kanooyaftaroona
| فلولا نصرهم الذين اتخذوا من دون الله قربانا آلهة بل ضلوا عنهم وذلك إفكهم وما كانوا يفترون فَلَوْلَا نَصَرَهُمُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ قُرْبَانًا آلِهَةً بَلْ ضَلُّوا عَنْهُمْ وَذَلِكَ إِفْكُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |

Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ان (بتوں) نے ان کی مدد کیوں نہ کی جن کو انہوں نے تقرّبِ (الٰہی) کے لئے اﷲ کے سوا معبود بنا رکھا تھا، بلکہ وہ (معبودانِ باطلہ) ان سے گم ہو گئے، اور یہ (بتوں کو معبود بنانا) ان کا جھوٹ تھا اور یہی وہ بہتان (تھا) جو وہ باندھا کرتے تھے |
Yousuf Ali | Why then was no help forthcoming to them from those whom they worshipped as gods, besides Allah, as a means of access (to Allah)? Nay, they left them in the lurch: but that was their falsehood and their invention.

[Lit., "that was their lie and all that they were wont to invent".] |
