| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [5:41] | Ya ayyuha alrrasoolu layahzunka allatheena yusariAAoona fee alkufrimina allatheena qaloo amanna bi-afwahihimwalam tu/min quloobuhum wamina allatheena hadoosammaAAoona lilkathibi sammaAAoona liqawmin akhareenalam ya/tooka yuharrifoona alkalima min baAAdi mawadiAAihiyaqooloona in ooteetum hatha fakhuthoohu wa-in lamtu/tawhu faihtharoo waman yuridi Allahufitnatahu falan tamlika lahu mina Allahi shay-an ola-ikaallatheena lam yuridi Allahu an yutahhiraquloobahum lahum fee alddunya khizyun walahum feeal-akhirati AAathabun AAatheemun |  يا أيها الرسول لا يحزنك الذين يسارعون في الكفر من الذين قالوا آمنا بأفواههم ولم تؤمن قلوبهم ومن الذين هادوا سماعون للكذب سماعون لقوم آخرين لم يأتوك يحرفون الكلم من بعد مواضعه يقولون إن أوتيتم هذا فخذوه وإن لم تؤتوه فاحذروا ومن يرد الله فتنته فلن تملك له من الله شيئا أولئك الذين لم يرد الله أن يطهر قلوبهم لهم في الدنيا خزي ولهم في الآخرة عذاب عظيميَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ لاَ يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ آمَنَّا بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُواْ سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّاعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ مِن بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَـذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُواْ وَمَن يُرِدِ اللّهُ فِتْنَتَهُ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُ مِنَ اللّهِ شَيْئًا أُوْلَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے رسول! وہ لوگ آپ کور نجیدہ خاطر نہ کریں جو کفر میں تیزی (سے پیش قدمی) کرتے ہیں ان میں (ایک) وہ (منافق) ہیں جو اپنے منہ سے کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لائے حالانکہ ان کے دل ایمان نہیں لائے، اور ان میں (دوسرے) یہودی ہیں، (یہ) جھوٹی باتیں بنانے کے لئے (آپ کو)خوب سنتے ہیں (یہ حقیقت میں) دوسرے لوگوں کے لئے (جاسوسی کی خاطر) سننے والے ہیں جو (ابھی تک) آپ کے پاس نہیں آئے، (یہ وہ لوگ ہیں) جو (اﷲ کے) کلمات کوان کے مواقع (مقرر ہونے) کے بعد (بھی) بدل دیتے ہیں (اور) کہتے ہیں: اگر تمہیں یہ (حکم جو ان کی پسند کا ہو) دیا جائے تو اسے اختیار کرلو اور اگر تمہیں یہ (حکم) نہ دیا جائے تو(اس سے) احتراز کرو، اور اﷲ جس شخص کی گمراہی کا ارادہ فرمالے تو تم اس کے لئے اﷲ (کے حکم کو روکنے) کا ہرگز کوئی اختیار نہیں رکھتے۔ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے دلوں کو پاک کرنے کااﷲ نے ارادہ (ہی) نہیں فرمایا۔ ان کے لئے دنیا میں (کفر کی) ذلّت ہے اور ان کے لئے آخرت میں بڑا عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O Messenger! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.

| Ahmed Raza Khan | اے رسول! تمہیں غمگین نہ کریں وہ جو کفر پڑ دوڑتے ہیں جو کچھ وہ اپنے منہ سے کہتے ہیں ہم ایمان لائے اور ان کے دل مسلمان نہیں اور کچھ یہودی جھوٹ خوب سنتے ہیں اور لوگوں کی خوب سنتے ہیں جو تمہارے پاس حاضر نہ ہوئے اللہ کی باتوں کو ان کے ٹھکانوں کے بعد بدل دیتے ہیں، کہتے ہیں یہ حکم تمہیں ملے تو مانو اور یہ نہ ملے تو بچو اور جسے اللہ گمراہ کرنا چاہے تو ہرگز تو اللہ سے اس کا کچھ بنا نہ سکے گا، وہ ہیں کہ اللہ نے ان کا دل پاک کرنا نہ چاہا، انہیں دنیا میں رسوائی ہے، اور انہیں آخرت میں بڑا عذاب، | ||||||
| Shabbir Ahmed | اے رسُول! نہ غمگین کریں تم کو وہ لوگ جو تیزگامی دکھاتے ہیں کفر کی راہ میں، ان لوگوں میں سے جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لائے محض اپنے مُنہ سے جبکہ نہیں ایمان لائے اُن کے دل اور ان لوگوں میں سے بھی جو یہودی ہیں کان لگانے والے ہیں جُھوٹ پر اور سُن گن لیتے ہیں دوسرے لوگوں کے لیے جو نہیں آئے تمہارے پاس، تحریف کرتے ہیں کلمات میں ان کو اصل مقام سے ہٹاکر، کہتے ہیں اگر دیا جائے تم کو یہ (حُکم) تم اسے قبول کرلو اور اگر نہ دیا جائے یہ حکم تو بچتے رہنا۔ اور جسے چاہے اللہ ہی فتنے میں ڈالنا تو نہیں کرسکتے تم اُس کی مدد اللہ کے مقابلے میں ذرا بھی۔ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں کہ نہیں چاہا اللہ نے کہ پاک کرے اُن کے دلوں کو۔ ان کے لیے ہے دُنیا میں ذِلت اور اُن کے لیے ہے آخرت میں عذابِ عظیم۔ | ||||||
| Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | اے پیغمبر! جو لوگ کفر میں جلدی کرتے ہیں (کچھ تو) ان میں سے (ہیں) جو منہ سے کہتے ہیں کہ ہم مومن ہیں لیکن ان کے دل مومن نہیں ہیں اور (کچھ) ان میں سے جو یہودی ہیں ان کی وجہ سے غمناک نہ ہونا یہ غلط باتیں بنانے کے لیے جاسوسی کرتے پھرتے ہیں اور ایسے لوگوں (کے بہکانے) کے لیے جاسوس بنے ہیں جو ابھی تمہارے پاس نہیں آئے (صحیح) باتوں کو ان کے مقامات (میں ثابت ہونے) کے بعد بدل دیتے ہیں (اور لوگوں سے) کہتے ہیں کہ اگر تم کو یہی (حکم) ملے تو اسے قبول کر لینا اور اگر یہ نہ ملے تو اس سے احتراز کرنا اور اگر کسی کو خدا گمراہ کرنا چاہے تو اس کے لیے تم کچھ بھی خدا سے (ہدایت کا) اختیار نہیں رکھتے یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے دلوں کو خدا نے پاک کرنا نہیں چاہا ان کے لیے دنیا میں بھی ذلت ہے اور آخرت میں بھی بڑا عذاب ہے | ||||||

| Abul Ala Maududi | اے پیغمبرؐ! تمہارے لیے باعث رنج نہ ہوں وہ لوگ جو کفر کی راہ میں بڑی تیز گامی دکھا رہے ہیں خواہ وہ اُن میں سے ہوں جو منہ سے کہتے ہیں ہم ایمان لائے مگر دل اُن کے ایمان نہیں لائے، یا اُن میں سے ہوں جو یہودی بن گئے ہیں، جن کا حال یہ ہے کہ جھوٹ کے لیے کان لگاتے ہیں، اور دوسرے لوگوں کی خاطر، جو تمہارے پاس کبھی نہیں آئے، سن گن لیتے پھرتے ہیں، کتاب اللہ کے الفاظ کو اُن کا صحیح محل متعین ہونے کے باوجود اصل معنی سے پھیرتے ہیں، اور لوگوں سے کہتے ہیں کہ اگر تمہیں یہ حکم دیا جائے تو مانو نہیں تو نہ مانو جسے اللہ ہی نے فتنہ میں ڈالنے کا ارادہ کر لیا ہو تو اس کو اللہ کی گرفت سے بچانے کے لیے تم کچھ نہیں کرسکتے، یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے دلوں کو اللہ نے پاک کرنا نہ چاہا، ان کے لیے دنیا میں رسوائی ہے اور آخرت میں سخت سزا | ||||||

| Literal | You, you the messenger, do not be saddened (by) those who quicken/speed in the disbelief, from those who said: "We believed" with their mouths, and their hearts/minds did not believe, and from those who repented/Jews (who are) often listening/hearing to the lie/falsehood, (and) often listening/hearing to other nations (that) they did not come to you, they alter/distort the words/expressions from after its places, they71say: "If you were given that, so take it , and if you were not given it, so be warned ." And whom God wants testing him , so you will never own/possess for him from God a thing, those are those who God did not want that to purify their hearts/minds , for them in the present world (is) shame/scandal/ disgrace, and for them in the end (other life is) a great torture. | ||||||

He whom Allah doometh unto sin, thou (by thine efforts) wilt avail him naught against Allah. Those are they for whom the Will of Allah is that He cleanse not their hearts. | Sarwar | Messenger, do not be grieved about the people who run back to disbelief. They only say that they believe but, in fact, they have no faith in their hearts. Some Jews knowingly listen to lies and accept the lies which come from others, (Jews), who have no relation with you and who distort certain words of the Bible and say to the people, "Accept only those words which are the same as what We have told you. If you do not, then beware!" You can not help those whom God wants to try. God does not want to cleanse the hearts of such people. They lead a disgraceful life in this world and in the life hereafter they will suffer a great torment. | ||||||

But he for whom Allah intends fitnah never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allah. Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. If Allah intends to put anyone to trial, you have no authority in the least to save him from Allah. | QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | O Messenger! Let not those grieve you who run to disbelief, saying, "We believe," from their mouths, while their hearts do not believe. And grieve not about those Jews who listen only to fabricate lies. They listen and go to their folk who have never met with you. Then they distort the words out of context and tell others to accept only a part and reject a part. You can do nothing to help those who decide to go astray. Guidance and straying depend upon the Laws of Allah (4:88). Allah does not intervene to purify the hearts of such people. For those who go astray, there is disgrace in this world and an awful punishment in the Hereafter. | ||||||
