| 1. [55:29] | Yas-aluhu man fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi kulla yawmin huwa fee sha/nin |  يسأله من في السماوات والأرض كل يوم هو في شأنيَسْأَلُهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | سب اسی سے مانگتے ہیں جو بھی آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہیں۔ وہ ہر آن نئی شان میں ہوتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)!

[55:33] | Ya maAAshara aljinni waal-insiini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari alssamawatiwaal-ardi faonfuthoo la tanfuthoonailla bisultanin | يا معشر الجن والإنس إن استطعتم أن تنفذوا من أقطار السماوات والأرض فانفذوا لا تنفذون إلا بسلطان يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے گروہِ جن و اِنس! اگر تم اِس بات پر قدرت رکھتے ہو کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کے کناروں سے باہر نکل سکو (اور تسخیرِ کائنات کرو) تو تم نکل جاؤ، تم جس (کرّۂ سماوی کے) مقام پر بھی نکل کر جاؤ گے وہاں بھی اسی کی سلطنت ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!

| 7. [55:35] | Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathunmin narin wanuhasun fala tantasirani | يرسل عليكما شواظ من نار ونحاس فلا تنتصران يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تم دونوں پر آگ کے خالص شعلے بھیج دیئے جائیں گے اور (بغیر شعلوں کے) دھواں (بھی بھیجا جائے گا) اور تم دونوں اِن سے بچ نہ سکو گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On you will be sent (O ye evil ones twain!) a flame of fire (to burn) and a smoke (to choke): no defence will ye have:

| Words | |يرسل - Will be sent| عليكما - against both of you| شواظ - a flame| من - of| نار - fire| ونحاس - and smoke,| فلا - and not| تنتصران - you will (be able to) defend yourselves.| | ||||||
| 8. [55:37] | Fa-itha inshaqqati alssamaofakanat wardatan kaalddihani | فإذا انشقت السماء فكانت وردة كالدهان فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب آسمان پھٹ جائیں گے اور جلے ہوئے تیل (یا سرخ چمڑے) کی طرح گلابی ہو جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment:

| Words | |فإذا - Then when| انشقت - is split| السماء - the heaven,| فكانت - and it becomes| وردة - rose-colored| كالدهان - like murky oil.| | ||||||
| 9. [55:39] | Fayawma-ithin la yus-alu AAan thanbihiinsun wala jannun | فيومئذ لا يسأل عن ذنبه إنس ولا جان فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذَنبِهِ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو اُس دن نہ تو کسی انسان سے اُس کے گناہ کی بابت پوچھا جائے گا اور نہ ہی کسی جِن سے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On that Day no question will be asked of man or Jinn as to his sin.

| 11. [55:41] | YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahumfayu/khathu bialnnawasee waal-aqdami | يعرف المجرمون بسيماهم فيؤخذ بالنواصي والأقدام يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | مجرِم لوگ اپنے چہروں کی سیاہی سے پہچان لئے جائیں گے پس انہیں پیشانی کے بالوں اور پاؤں سے پکڑ کر کھینچا جائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.

| Words | |يعرف - Will be known| المجرمون - the criminals| بسيماهم - by their marks| فيؤخذ - and will be seized| بالنواصي - by the forelocks| والأقدام - and the feet.| | ||||||
| 12. [55:42] | Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththibani | فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم دونوں اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

| 14. [55:43] | Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibubiha almujrimoona | هذه جهنم التي يكذب بها المجرمون هَذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اُن سے کہا جائے گا:) یہی ہے وہ دوزخ جسے مجرِم لوگ جھٹلایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | This is the Hell which the Sinners deny:

| Words | |هذه - This| جهنم - (is) Hell| التي - which| يكذب - deny| بها - [of it]| المجرمون - the criminals.| | ||||||
| 15. [55:44] | Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameeminanin | يطوفون بينها وبين حميم آن يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ اُس (دوزخ) میں اور کھولتے گرم پانی میں گھومتے پھریں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In its midst and in the midst of boiling hot water will they wander round!
| ||||||
| Words | |يطوفون - They will go around| بينها - between it| وبين - and between| حميم - scalding water,| آن - heated.| | ||||||
| 16. [55:46] | Waliman khafa maqama rabbihijannatani | ولمن خاف مقام ربه جنتان وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو شخص اپنے رب کے حضور (پیشی کے لئے) کھڑا ہونے سے ڈرتا ہے اُس کے لئے دو جنتیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens-
| ||||||
| Words | |ولمن - But for (him) who| خاف - fears| مقام - (the) standing| ربه - (before) his Lord| جنتان - (are) two gardens.| | ||||||
| 17. [55:47] | Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththibani | فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم دونوں اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-

| 18. [55:48] | Thawata afnanin | ذواتا أفنان ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو دونوں (سرسبز و شاداب) گھنی شاخوں والی (جنتیں) ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);-

| Words | |ذواتا - Having| أفنان - branches.| | ||||||
| 19. [55:49] | Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththibani | فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم دونوں اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?-

| 20. [55:50] | Feehima AAaynani tajriyani | فيهما عينان تجريان فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان دونوں میں دو چشمے بہہ رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free);

| Words | |فيهما - In both of them| عينان - (are) two springs,| تجريان - flowing.| | ||||||
| 21. [55:51] | Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththibani | فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ | |||||

| 24. [55:52] | Feehima min kulli fakihatinzawjani | فيهما من كل فاكهة زوجان فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان دونوں میں ہر پھل (اور میوے) کی دو دو قِسمیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two.

| Words | |فيهما - In both of them| من - [of]| كل - (are) every| فاكهة - fruits| زوجان - (in) pairs.| | ||||||
| 25. [55:54] | Muttaki-eena AAala furushin bata-inuhamin istabraqin wajana aljannatayni danin | متكئين على فرش بطائنها من إستبرق وجنى الجنتين دان مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَى فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اہلِ جنت ایسے بستروں پر تکیے لگائے بیٹھے ہوں گے جن کے استر نفِیس اور دبیز ریشم (یعنی اَطلس) کے ہوں گے، اور دونوں جنتوں کے پھل (اُن کے) قریب جھک رہے ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach).

| 26. [55:56] | Feehinna qasiratu alttarfilam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jannun | فيهن قاصرات الطرف لم يطمثهن إنس قبلهم ولا جان فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اُن میں نیچی نگاہ رکھنے والی (حوریں) ہوں گی جنہیں پہلے نہ کسی انسان نے ہاتھ لگایا اور نہ کسی جِن نے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-

| Words | |فيهن - In them| قاصرات - (will be) companions of modest gaze| الطرف - (will be) companions of modest gaze| لم - not| يطمثهن - has touched them| إنس - any man| قبلهم - before them| ولا - and not| جان - any jinn.| | ||||||
| 27. [55:57] | Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikumatukaththibani | فبأي آلاء ربكما تكذبان فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم دونوں اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے | ||||||

| 28. [55:58] | Kaannahunna alyaqootu waalmarjanu | كأنهن الياقوت والمرجان كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | گویا وہ (حوریں) یا قوت اور مرجان ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Like unto Rubies and coral.

| Words | |كأنهن - As if they were| الياقوت - rubies| والمرجان - and coral.| | ||||||
