Likayla ta/saw AAala mafatakum wala tafrahoo bima atakumwaAllahu la yuhibbu kulla mukhtalinfakhoorin
Tahir ul Qadri

Yousuf AliIn order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult over favours bestowed upon you. For Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster,-
 Words|

Ahmed Raza Khan
Shabbir Ahmed
Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary
Mehmood Al Hassan

Yusuf AliIn order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult over favours bestowed upon you. For Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster,-
PickthalThat ye grieve not for the sake of that which hath escaped you, nor yet exult because of that which hath been given. Allah loveth not all prideful boasters,
Arberry that you may not grieve for what escapes you, nor rejoice in what has come to you; God loves not any man proud and boastful,
ShakirSo that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant at what He has given you; and Allah does not love any arrogant boaster:
Sarwarso that you would not grieve over what you have lost nor become too happy about what God has granted to you. God does not love the arrogant boastful ones who are niggardly and who try to make other people also niggardly.
H/K/SaheehIn order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful
MalikThis is done so that you may not grieve for the things that you miss, or be overjoyed at what you gain; for Allah does not love any vainglorious boaster,[23]
Maulana Ali**So that you grieve not for what has escaped you, nor exult in that which He has given you. And Allah loves not any arrogant boaster:
Free MindsIn order that you do not despair over anything that has passed you by, nor be happy of anything He has bestowed upon you. God does not like those who are boastful, proud.
Qaribullah so that you will not be saddened for whatever does not come to you, nor be overjoyed in what has come to you. Allah does not love those who are proud and boastful
George SaleAnd this is written lest ye immoderately grieve for the good which escapeth you, or rejoice for that which happeneth unto you; for God loveth no proud or vain-glorious person,
JM RodwellLest ye distress yourselves if good things escape you, and be over joyous for what falleth to your share. God loveth not the presumptuous, the boaster,
Asad[Know this,] so that you may not despair over whatever [good] has escaped you nor exult [unduly] over whatever [good] has come to you: [Thus, the knowledge that whatever has happened had to happen - and could not have not happened - because, obviously, it had been willed bby God in accordance with His unfathomable plan, ought to enable a true believer to react with conscious equanimity to whatever good or ill comes to him.] for, God does not love any of those who, out of self-conceit, act in a boastful manner - [I.e., attributing their good fortune to their own merit or "luck".]
Khalifa**Thus, you should not grieve over anything you miss, nor be proud of anything He has bestowed upon you. GOD does not love those who are boastful, proud.
Hilali/Khan**In order that you may not be sad over matters that you fail to get, nor rejoice because of that which has been given to you. And Allah likes not prideful boasters.
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**Thus despair not over whatever has left you, nor exult for whatever you have been given. For, Allah does not love any of those self-centered boasters -
