| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [6:61] | Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihiwayursilu AAalaykum hafathatan hattaitha jaa ahadakumu almawtu tawaffat-hurusuluna wahum la yufarritoona |  وهو القاهر فوق عباده ويرسل عليكم حفظة حتى إذا جاء أحدكم الموت توفته رسلنا وهم لا يفرطونوَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُم حَفَظَةً حَتَّىَ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يُفَرِّطُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی اپنے بندوں پر غالب ہے اور وہ تم پر (فرشتوں کو بطور) نگہبان بھیجتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ جب تم میں سے کسی کو موت آتی ہے (تو) ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے (فرشتے) اس کی روح قبض کرلیتے ہیں اور وہ خطا (یا کوتاہی) نہیں کرتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers, and He sets guardians over you. At length, when death approaches one of you, Our angels take his soul, and they never fail in their duty.

[6:59] | WaAAindahu mafatihu alghaybi layaAAlamuha illa huwa wayaAAlamu ma feealbarri waalbahri wama tasqutu minwaraqatin illa yaAAlamuha wala habbatinfee thulumati al-ardi wala ratbinwala yabisin illa fee kitabin mubeenin | وعنده مفاتح الغيب لا يعلمها إلا هو ويعلم ما في البر والبحر وما تسقط من ورقة إلا يعلمها ولا حبة في ظلمات الأرض ولا رطب ولا يابس إلا في كتاب مبين وَعِندَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لاَ يَعْلَمُهَا إِلاَّ هُوَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إِلاَّ يَعْلَمُهَا وَلاَ حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ وَلاَ رَطْبٍ وَلاَ يَابِسٍ إِلاَّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور غیب کی کُنجیاں (یعنی وہ راستے جس سے غیب کسی پر آشکار کیا جاتا ہے) اسی کے پاس (اس کی قدرت و ملکیت میں) ہیں، انہیں اس کے سوا (اَز خود) کوئی نہیں جانتا، اور وہ ہر اس چیز کو (بلاواسطہ) جانتا ہے جو خشکی میں اور دریاؤں میں ہے، اور کوئی پتّا نہیں گرتا مگر (یہ کہ) وہ اسے جانتا ہے اور نہ زمین کی تاریکیوں میں کوئی (ایسا) دانہ ہے اور نہ کوئی تر چیز ہے اور نہ کوئی خشک چیز مگر روشن کتاب میں (سب کچھ لکھ دیا گیا ہے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).

[6:60] | Wahuwa allathee yatawaffakumbiallayli wayaAAlamu ma jarahtum bialnnaharithumma yabAAathukum feehi liyuqda ajalun musamman thummailayhi marjiAAukum thumma yunabbi-okum bima kuntumtaAAmaloona | وهو الذي يتوفاكم بالليل ويعلم ما جرحتم بالنهار ثم يبعثكم فيه ليقضى أجل مسمى ثم إليه مرجعكم ثم ينبئكم بما كنتم تعملون وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَى أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی ہے جو رات کے وقت تمہاری روحیں قبض فرما لیتا ہے اور جو کچھ تم دن کے وقت کماتے ہو وہ جانتا ہے پھر وہ تمہیں دن میں اٹھا دیتا ہے تاکہ (تمہاری زندگی کی) معینّہ میعاد پوری کر دی جائے پھر تمہارا پلٹنا اسی کی طرف ہے، پھر وہ (روزِ محشر) تمہیں ان (تمام اعمال) سے آگاہ فرما دے گا جو تم (اس زندگانی میں) کرتے رہے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.

| 4. [6:62] | Thumma ruddoo ila Allahi mawlahumualhaqqi ala lahu alhukmu wahuwa asraAAu alhasibeena | ثم ردوا إلى الله مولاهم الحق ألا له الحكم وهو أسرع الحاسبين ثُمَّ رُدُّواْ إِلَى اللّهِ مَوْلاَهُمُ الْحَقِّ أَلاَ لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ الْحَاسِبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر وہ (سب) اللہ کے حضور لوٹائے جائیں گے جو ان کا مالکِ حقیقی ہے، جان لو! حکم (فرمانا) اسی کا (کام) ہے، اور وہ سب سے جلد حساب کرنے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then are men returned unto Allah, their protector, the (only) reality: Is not His the command? and He is the swiftest in taking account.

[6:63] | Qul man yunajjeekum min thulumatialbarri waalbahri tadAAoonahu tadarruAAanwakhufyatan la-in anjana min hathihilanakoonanna mina alshshakireena | قل من ينجيكم من ظلمات البر والبحر تدعونه تضرعا وخفية لئن أنجانا من هذه لنكونن من الشاكرين قُلْ مَن يُنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُ تَضَرُّعاً وَخُفْيَةً لَّئِنْ أَنْجَانَا مِنْ هَـذِهِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ (ان سے دریافت) فرمائیں کہ بیابان اور دریا کی تاریکیوں سے تمہیں کون نجات دیتا ہے؟ (اس وقت تو) تم گڑگڑا کر (بھی) اور چپکے چپکے (بھی) اسی کو پکارتے ہو کہ اگر وہ ہمیں اس (مصیبت) سے نجات دے دے تو ہم ضرور شکر گزاروں میں سے ہو جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Who is it that delivereth you from the dark recesses of land and sea, when ye call upon Him in humility and silent terror: 'If He only delivers us from these (dangers), (we vow) we shall truly show our gratitude'?"

| 6. [6:64] | Quli Allahu yunajjeekum minhawamin kulli karbin thumma antum tushrikoona | قل الله ينجيكم منها ومن كل كرب ثم أنتم تشركون قُلِ اللّهُ يُنَجِّيكُم مِّنْهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرْبٍ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے کہ اﷲ ہی تمہیں اس (مصیبت) سے اور ہر تکلیف سے نجات دیتا ہے تم پھر (بھی) شرک کرتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say "It is Allah that delivereth you from these and all (other) distresses: and yet ye worship false gods!"

[6:65] | Qul huwa alqadiru AAala anyabAAatha AAalaykum AAathaban min fawqikum aw min tahtiarjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaAAan wayutheeqa baAAdakumba/sa baAAdin onthur kayfa nusarrifual-ayati laAAallahum yafqahoona | قل هو القادر على أن يبعث عليكم عذابا من فوقكم أو من تحت أرجلكم أو يلبسكم شيعا ويذيق بعضكم بأس بعض انظر كيف نصرف الآيات لعلهم يفقهون قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعاً وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: وہ اس پر قادر ہے کہ تم پر عذاب بھیجے (خواہ) تمہارے اوپر کی طرف سے یا تمہارے پاؤں کے نیچے سے یا تمہیں فرقہ فرقہ کر کے آپس میں بھڑائے اور تم میں سے بعض کو بعض کی لڑائی کا مزہ چکھا دے۔ دیکھئے! ہم کس کس طرح آیتیں بیان کرتے ہیں تاکہ یہ (لوگ) سمجھ سکیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance - each from the other." See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); that they may understand.

| 8. [6:66] | Wakaththaba bihi qawmuka wahuwa alhaqququl lastu AAalaykum biwakeelin | وكذب به قومك وهو الحق قل لست عليكم بوكيل وَكَذَّبَ بِهِ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور آپ کی قوم نے اس (قرآن) کو جھٹلا ڈالا حالانکہ وہ سراسر حق ہے۔ فرما دیجئے: میں تم پر نگہبان نہیں ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But thy people reject this, though it is the truth. Say: "Not mine is the responsibility for arranging your affairs;

| Words | |وكذب - But denied| به - it -| قومك - your people| وهو - while it| الحق - (is) the truth.| قل - Say,| لست - "I am not| عليكم - over you| بوكيل - a manager."| | ||||||
| 9. [6:67] | Likulli naba-in mustaqarrun wasawfataAAlamoona | لكل نبإ مستقر وسوف تعلمون لِّكُلِّ نَبَإٍ مُّسْتَقَرٌّ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہر خبر (کے واقع ہونے) کا وقت مقرر ہے اور تم عنقریب جان لو گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For every message is a limit of time, and soon shall ye know it."

[6:68] | Wa-itha raayta allatheenayakhoodoona fee ayatina faaAAridAAanhum hatta yakhoodoo fee hadeethinghayrihi wa-imma yunsiyannaka alshshaytanufala taqAAud baAAda alththikra maAAaalqawmi alththalimeena | وإذا رأيت الذين يخوضون في آياتنا فأعرض عنهم حتى يخوضوا في حديث غيره وإما ينسينك الشيطان فلا تقعد بعد الذكرى مع القوم الظالمين وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّى يَخُوضُواْ فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلاَ تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ الذِّكْرَى مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب تم ایسے لوگوں کو دیکھو جو ہماری آیتوں میں (کج بحثی اور استہزاء میں) مشغول ہوں تو تم ان سے کنارہ کش ہوجایا کرو یہاں تک کہ وہ کسی دوسری بات میں مشغول ہوجائیں، اور اگر شیطان تمہیں (یہ بات) بھلا دے تو یاد آنے کے بعد تم (کبھی بھی) ظالم قوم کے ساتھ نہ بیٹھا کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong.

| 11. [6:69] | Wama AAala allatheenayattaqoona min hisabihim min shay-in walakinthikra laAAallahum yattaqoona | وما على الذين يتقون من حسابهم من شيء ولكن ذكرى لعلهم يتقون وَمَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ وَلَـكِن ذِكْرَى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور لوگوں پر جو پرہیزگاری اختیار کئے ہوئے ہیں ان (کافروں) کے حساب سے کچھ بھی (لازم) نہیں ہے مگر (انہیں) نصیحت (کرنا چاہیے) تاکہ وہ (کفر سے اور قرآن کی مذمت سے) بچ جائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On their account no responsibility falls on the righteous, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (learn to) fear Allah.

| 12. [6:72] | Waan aqeemoo alssalatawaittaqoohu wahuwa allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona | وأن أقيموا الصلاة واتقوه وهو الذي إليه تحشرون وَأَنْ أَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَهُوَ الَّذِيَ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ (بھی حکم ہوا ہے) کہ تم نماز قائم رکھو اور اس سے ڈرتے رہو اور وہی اﷲ ہے جس کی طرف تم (سب) جمع کئے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "To establish regular prayers and to fear Allah: for it is to Him that we shall be gathered together."

[6:74] | Wa-ith qala ibraheemuli-abeehi azara atattakhithu asnaman alihataninnee araka waqawmaka fee dalalin mubeenin | وإذ قال إبراهيم لأبيه آزر أتتخذ أصناما آلهة إني أراك وقومك في ضلال مبين وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ آزَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا آلِهَةً إِنِّي أَرَاكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (یاد کیجئے) جب ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے اپنے باپ آزر (جو حقیقت میں چچا تھا محاورۂ عرب میں اسے باپ کہا گیا ہے) سے کہا: کیا تم بتوں کو معبود بناتے ہو؟ بیشک میں تمہیں اور تمہاری قوم کو صریح گمراہی میں (مبتلا) دیکھتا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Lo! Abraham said to his father Azar: "Takest thou idols for gods? For I see thee and thy people in manifest error."

[6:71] | Qul anadAAoo min dooni Allahi mala yanfaAAuna wala yadurrunawanuraddu AAala aAAqabina baAAda ithhadana Allahu kaallathee istahwat-hualshshayateenu fee al-ardi hayranalahu as-habun yadAAoonahu ila alhudai/tina qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhudawaomirna linuslima lirabbi alAAalameena | قل أندعو من دون الله ما لا ينفعنا ولا يضرنا ونرد على أعقابنا بعد إذ هدانا الله كالذي استهوته الشياطين في الأرض حيران له أصحاب يدعونه إلى الهدى ائتنا قل إن هدى الله هو الهدى وأمرنا لنسلم لرب العالمين قُلْ أَنَدْعُواْ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ مَا لاَ يَنفَعُنَا وَلاَ يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَى أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَانَا اللّهُ كَالَّذِي اسْتَهْوَتْهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ فِي الْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُ أَصْحَابٌ يَدْعُونَهُ إِلَى الْهُدَى ائْتِنَا قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: کیا ہم اﷲ کے سوا ایسی چیز کی عبادت کریں جو ہمیں نہ (تو) نفع پہنچا سکے اور نہ (ہی) ہمیں نقصان دے سکے اور اس کے بعد کہ اﷲ نے ہمیں ہدایت دے دی ہم اس شخص کی طرح اپنے الٹے پاؤں پھر جائیں جسے زمین میں شیطانوں نے راہ بھلا کر درماندہ و حیرت زدہ کر دیا ہو جس کے ساتھی اسے سیدھی راہ کی طرف بلا رہے ہوں کہ ہمارے پاس آجا (مگر اسے کچھ سوجھتا نہ ہو)، فرما دیں کہ اﷲ کی ہدایت ہی (حقیقی) ہدایت ہے، اور (اسی لیے) ہمیں (یہ) حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ ہم تمام جہانوں کے رب کی فرمانبرداری کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Shall we indeed call on others besides Allah,- things that can do us neither good nor harm,- and turn on our heels after receiving guidance from Allah? - like one whom the evil ones have made into a fool, wandering bewildered through the earth, his friends calling, come to us', (vainly) guiding him to the path." Say: "Allah's guidance is the (only) guidance, and we have been directed to submit ourselves to the Lord of the worlds;-

[6:73] | Wahuwa allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda bialhaqqi wayawma yaqoolukun fayakoonu qawluhu alhaqqu walahu almulku yawmayunfakhu fee alssoori AAalimu alghaybi waalshshahadatiwahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeeru | وهو الذي خلق السماوات والأرض بالحق ويوم يقول كن فيكون قوله الحق وله الملك يوم ينفخ في الصور عالم الغيب والشهادة وهو الحكيم الخبير وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ قَوْلُهُ الْحَقُّ وَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی (اﷲ) ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو حق (پر مبنی تدبیر) کے ساتھ پیدا فرمایا ہے اور جس دن وہ فرمائے گا: ہوجا، تو وہ (روزِ محشر بپا) ہو جائے گا۔ اس کا فرمان حق ہے، اور اس دن اسی کی بادشاہی ہوگی جب (اسرافیل کے ذریعے صور میں پھونک ماری جائے گے، (وہی) ہر پوشیدہ اور ظاہر کا جاننے والا ہے، اور وہی بڑا حکمت والا خبردار ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is He who created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): the day He saith, "Be," behold! it is. His word is the truth. His will be the dominion the day the trumpet will be blown. He knoweth the unseen as well as that which is open. For He is the Wise, well acquainted (with all things).

| 16. [6:75] | Wakathalika nuree ibraheemamalakoota alssamawati waal-ardiwaliyakoona mina almooqineena | وكذلك نري إبراهيم ملكوت السماوات والأرض وليكون من الموقنين وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسی طرح ہم نے ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کو آسمانوں اور زمین کی تمام بادشاہتیں (یعنی عجائباتِ خلق) دکھائیں اور (یہ) اس لئے کہ وہ عین الیقین والوں میں ہوجائے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So also did We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude.

[6:76] | Falamma janna AAalayhi allaylu raakawkaban qala hatha rabbee falamma afala qalala ohibbu al-afileena | فلما جن عليه الليل رأى كوكبا قال هذا ربي فلما أفل قال لا أحب الآفلين فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ رَأَى كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَـذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لاَ أُحِبُّ الْآفِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب ان پر رات نے اندھیرا کر دیا تو انہوں نے (ایک) ستارہ دیکھا (تو) کہا: (کیا تمہارے خیال میں) یہ میرا رب ہے؟ پھر جب وہ ڈوب گیا تو (اپنی قوم کو سنا کر) کہنے لگے: میں ڈوب جانے والوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "I love not those that set."

[6:77] | Falamma raa alqamara bazighanqala hatha rabbee falamma afala qalala-in lam yahdinee rabbee laakoonanna mina alqawmi alddalleena | فلما رأى القمر بازغا قال هذا ربي فلما أفل قال لئن لم يهدني ربي لأكونن من القوم الضالين فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَـذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّالِّينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب چاند کو چمکتے دیکھا (تو) کہا: (کیا تمہارے خیال میں) یہ میرا رب ہے؟ پھرجب وہ (بھی) غائب ہوگیا تو (اپنی قوم کو سنا کر) کہنے لگے: اگر میرا رب مجھے ہدایت نہ فرماتا تو میں بھی ضرور (تمہاری طرح) گمراہوں کی قوم میں سے ہو جاتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When he saw the moon rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord." But when the moon set, He said: "unless my Lord guide me, I shall surely be among those who go astray."

[6:78] | Falamma raa alshshamsabazighatan qala hatha rabbee hathaakbaru falamma afalat qala ya qawmi inneebaree-on mimma tushrikoona | فلما رأى الشمس بازغة قال هذا ربي هذا أكبر فلما أفلت قال يا قوم إني بريء مما تشركون فَلَمَّا رَأَى الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَـذَا رَبِّي هَـذَآ أَكْبَرُ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب سورج کو چمکتے دیکھا (تو) کہا: (کیا اب تمہارے خیال میں) یہ میرا رب ہے (کیونکہ) یہ سب سے بڑا ہے؟ پھر جب وہ (بھی) چھپ گیا تو بول اٹھے: اے لوگو! میں ان (سب چیزوں) سے بیزار ہوں جنہیں تم (اﷲ کا) شریک گردانتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When he saw the sun rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord; this is the greatest (of all)." But when the sun set, he said: "O my people! I am indeed free from your (guilt) of giving partners to Allah.

| 20. [6:79] | Innee wajjahtu wajhiya lillathee fataraalssamawati waal-arda haneefanwama ana mina almushrikeena | إني وجهت وجهي للذي فطر السماوات والأرض حنيفا وما أنا من المشركين إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک میں نے اپنا رُخ (ہر سمت سے ہٹا کر) یکسوئی سے اس (ذات) کی طرف پھیر لیا ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو بے مثال پیدا فرمایا ہے اور (جان لو کہ) میں مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "For me, I have set my face, firmly and truly, towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to Allah."

[6:80] | Wahajjahu qawmuhu qala atuhajjoonneefee Allahi waqad hadani wala akhafu matushrikoona bihi illa an yashaa rabbee shay-anwasiAAa rabbee kulla shay-in AAilman afala tatathakkaroona | وحاجه قومه قال أتحاجوني في الله وقد هدان ولا أخاف ما تشركون به إلا أن يشاء ربي شيئا وسع ربي كل شيء علما أفلا تتذكرون وَحَآجَّهُ قَوْمُهُ قَالَ أَتُحَاجُّونِّي فِي اللّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانِ وَلاَ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِ إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاءَ رَبِّي شَيْئًا وَسِعَ رَبِّي كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا أَفَلاَ تَتَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کی قوم ان سے بحث و جدال کرنے لگی (تو) انہوں نے کہا: بھلا تم مجھ سے اللہ کے بارے میں جھگڑتے ہو حالانکہ اس نے مجھے ہدایت فرما دی ہے، اور میں ان (باطل معبودوں) سے نہیں ڈرتا جنہیں تم اس کا شریک ٹھہرا رہے ہو مگر (یہ کہ) میرا رب جو کچھ (ضرر) چاہے (پہنچا سکتا ہے)۔ میرے رب نے ہر چیز کو (اپنے) علم سے احاطہ میں لے رکھا ہے، سو کیا تم نصیحت قبول نہیں کرتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | His people disputed with him. He said: "(Come) ye to dispute with me, about Allah, when He (Himself) hath guided me? I fear not (the beings) ye associate with Allah: Unless my Lord willeth, (nothing can happen). My Lord comprehendeth in His knowledge all things. Will ye not (yourselves) be admonished?

| Words | |وحاجه - And argued with him| قومه - his people.| قال - He said,| أتحاجوني - "Do you argue with me| في - concerning| الله - Allah| وقد - while certainly| هدان - He has guided me?| ولا - And not| أخاف - (do) I fear| ما - what| تشركون - you associate| به - with Him,| إلا - unless| أن - [that]| يشاء - wills| ربي - my Lord| شيئا - anything.| وسع - Encompasses| ربي - my Lord| كل - every| شيء - thing| علما - (in) knowledge.| أفلا - Then will not| تتذكرون - you take heed?| | ||||||
| 22. [6:82] | Allatheena amanoo walamyalbisoo eemanahum bithulmin ola-ikalahumu al-amnu wahum muhtadoona | الذين آمنوا ولم يلبسوا إيمانهم بظلم أولئك لهم الأمن وهم مهتدون الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُواْ إِيمَانَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمُ الْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور اپنے ایمان کو (شرک کے ظلم کے ساتھ نہیں ملایا انہی لوگوں کے لئے امن (یعنی اُخروی بے خوفی) ہے اور وہی ہدایت یافتہ ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong - that are (truly) in security, for they are on (right) guidance."

[6:81] | Wakayfa akhafu ma ashraktumwala takhafoona annakum ashraktum biAllahima lam yunazzil bihi AAalaykum sultanan faayyualfareeqayni ahaqqu bial-amni in kuntum taAAlamoona | وكيف أخاف ما أشركتم ولا تخافون أنكم أشركتم بالله ما لم ينزل به عليكم سلطانا فأي الفريقين أحق بالأمن إن كنتم تعلمون وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَا أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلاَ تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُم بِاللّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَانًا فَأَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِالْأَمْنِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں ان (معبودانِ باطلہ) سے کیونکر خوفزدہ ہوسکتا ہوں جنہیں تم (اﷲ کا) شریک ٹھہراتے ہو درآنحالیکہ تم اس بات سے نہیں ڈرتے کہ تم نے اﷲ کے ساتھ (بتوں کو) شریک بنا رکھا ہے (جبکہ) اس نے تم پر اس (شرک) کی کوئی دلیل نہیں اتاری (اب تم ہی جواب دو!) سو ہر دو فریق میں سے (عذاب سے) بے خوف رہنے کا زیادہ حق دار کون ہے؟ اگر تم جانتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "How should I fear (the beings) ye associate with Allah, when ye fear not to give partners to Allah without any warrant having been given to you? Which of (us) two parties hath more right to security? (tell me) if ye know.

[6:83] | Watilka hujjatuna ataynahaibraheema AAala qawmihi narfaAAu darajatinman nashao inna rabbaka hakeemun AAaleemun | وتلك حجتنا آتيناها إبراهيم على قومه نرفع درجات من نشاء إن ربك حكيم عليم وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَا آتَيْنَاهَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَّن نَّشَاءُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہی ہماری (توحید کی) دلیل تھی جو ہم نے ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کو ان کی (مخالف) قوم کے مقابلہ میں دی تھی۔ ہم جس کے چاہتے ہیں درجات بلند کر دیتے ہیں۔ بیشک آپ کا رب بڑی حکمت والا خوب جاننے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That was the reasoning about Us, which We gave to Abraham (to use) against his people: We raise whom We will, degree after degree: for thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.

| Words | |وتلك - And this| حجتنا - (is) Our argument,| آتيناها - We gave it| إبراهيم - (to) Ibrahim| على - against| قومه - his people.| نرفع - We raise| درجات - (by) degrees| من - whom| نشاء - We will.| إن - Indeed,| ربك - your Lord| حكيم - (is) All-Wise,| عليم - All-Knowing.| | ||||||
| 25. [6:84] | Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadaynamin qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymanawaayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalikanajzee almuhsineena | ووهبنا له إسحاق ويعقوب كلا هدينا ونوحا هدينا من قبل ومن ذريته داوود وسليمان وأيوب ويوسف وموسى وهارون وكذلك نجزي المحسنين وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ كُلاًّ هَدَيْنَا وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِ دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَى وَهَارُونَ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے ان (ابراہیم علیہ السلام) کو اسحاق اور یعقوب (بیٹا اور پوتا علیھما السلام) عطا کئے، ہم نے (ان) سب کو ہدایت سے نوازا، اور ہم نے (ان سے) پہلے نوح (علیہ السلام) کو (بھی) ہدایت سے نوازا تھا اور ان کی اولاد میں سے داؤد اور سلیمان اور ایوب اور یوسف اور موسٰی اور ہارون (علیھم السلام کو بھی ہدایت عطا فرمائی تھی)، اور ہم اسی طرح نیکو کاروں کو جزا دیا کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We gave him Isaac and Jacob: all (three) guided: and before him, We guided Noah, and among his progeny, David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron: thus do We reward those who do good:

| Words | |ووهبنا - And We bestowed| له - to him| إسحاق - Isaac| ويعقوب - and Yaqub,| كلا - all| هدينا - We guided.| ونوحا - And Nuh,| هدينا - We guided| من - from| قبل - before;| ومن - and of| ذريته - his descendents,| داوود - Dawood| وسليمان - and Sulaiman| وأيوب - and Ayyub| ويوسف - and Yusuf| وموسى - and Musa| وهارون - and Harun.| وكذلك - And thus| نجزي - We reward| المحسنين - the good-doers.| | ||||||
| 26. [6:85] | Wazakariyya wayahyawaAAeesa wailyasa kullun mina alssaliheena | وزكريا ويحيى وعيسى وإلياس كل من الصالحين وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَى وَعِيسَى وَإِلْيَاسَ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور زکریا اور یحیٰی اور عیسٰی اور الیاس (علیھم السلام کو بھی ہدایت بخشی)۔ یہ سب نیکو کار (قربت اور حضوری والے) لوگ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous:

| 27. [6:86] | Wa-ismaAAeela wailyasaAAawayoonusa walootan wakullan faddalna AAalaalAAalameena | وإسماعيل واليسع ويونس ولوطا وكلا فضلنا على العالمين وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطًا وَكُلاًّ فضَّلْنَا عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسمٰعیل اور الیسع اور یونس اور لوط (علیھم السلام کو بھی ہدایت سے شرف یاب فرمایا)، اور ہم نے ان سب کو (اپنے زمانے کے) تمام جہان والوں پر فضیلت بخشی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Isma'il and Elisha, and Jonas, and Lot: and to all We gave favour above the nations:

| 28. [6:87] | Wamin aba-ihim wathurriyyatihimwa-ikhwanihim waijtabaynahum wahadaynahumila siratin mustaqeemin | ومن آبائهم وذرياتهم وإخوانهم واجتبيناهم وهديناهم إلى صراط مستقيم وَمِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَانِهِمْ وَاجْتَبَيْنَاهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کے آباؤ (و اجداد) اور ان کی اولاد اور ان کے بھائیوں میں سے بھی (بعض کو ایسی فضیلت عطا فرمائی) اور ہم نے انہیں (اپنے لطفِ خاص اور بزرگی کے لئے) چن لیا تھا اور انہیں سیدھی راہ کی طرف ہدایت فرما دی تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (To them) and to their fathers, and progeny and brethren: We chose them, and we guided them to a straight way.

| Words | |ومن - And from| آبائهم - their fathers| وذرياتهم - and their descendents| وإخوانهم - and their brothers -| واجتبيناهم - and We chose them| وهديناهم - and We guided them| إلى - to| صراط - a path,| مستقيم - straight.| | ||||||

[6:88] | Thalika huda Allahiyahdee bihi man yashao min AAibadihi walaw ashrakoolahabita AAanhum ma kanoo yaAAmaloona | ذلك هدى الله يهدي به من يشاء من عباده ولو أشركوا لحبط عنهم ما كانوا يعملون ذَلِكَ هُدَى اللّهِ يَهْدِي بِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُواْ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ اللہ کی ہدایت ہے وہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جسے چاہتا ہے اس کے ذریعے رہنمائی فرماتا ہے، اور اگر (بالفرض) یہ لوگ شرک کرتے تو ان سے وہ سارے اعمالِ (خیر) ضبط (یعنی نیست و نابود) ہو جاتے جو وہ انجام دیتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | This is the guidance of Allah: He giveth that guidance to whom He pleaseth, of His worshippers. If they were to join other gods with Him, all that they did would be vain for them.

[6:89] | Ola-ika allatheena ataynahumualkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwatafa-in yakfur biha haola-i faqad wakkalnabiha qawman laysoo biha bikafireena | أولئك الذين آتيناهم الكتاب والحكم والنبوة فإن يكفر بها هؤلاء فقد وكلنا بها قوما ليسوا بها بكافرين أُوْلَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَـؤُلاَءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّيْسُواْ بِهَا بِكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (یہی) وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں ہم نے کتاب اور حکمِ (شریعت) اور نبوّت عطا فرمائی تھی۔ پھر اگر یہ لوگ (یعنی کفّار) ان باتوں سے انکار کر دیں تو بیشک ہم نے ان (باتوں) پر (ایمان لانے کے لیے) ایسی قوم کو مقرر کردیا ہے جو ان سے انکار کرنے والے نہیں (ہوں گے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | These were the men to whom We gave the Book, and authority, and prophethood: if these (their descendants) reject them, Behold! We shall entrust their charge to a new people who reject them not.
