| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [62:1] | Yusabbihu lillahi ma feealssamawati wama fee al-ardialmaliki alquddoosi alAAazeezi alhakeemi |  يسبح لله ما في السماوات وما في الأرض الملك القدوس العزيز الحكيميُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | (ہر چیز) جو آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو زمین میں ہے اللہ کی تسبیح کرتی ہے (جو حقیقی) بادشاہ ہے، (ہر نقص و عیب سے) پاک ہے، عزت و غلبہ والا ہے بڑی حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah,- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

[62:2] | Huwa allathee baAAatha feeal-ommiyyeena rasoolan minhum yatloo AAalayhim ayatihiwayuzakkeehim wayuAAallimuhumu alkitaba waalhikmatawa-in kanoo min qablu lafee dalalin mubeenin | هو الذي بعث في الأميين رسولا منهم يتلو عليهم آياته ويزكيهم ويعلمهم الكتاب والحكمة وإن كانوا من قبل لفي ضلال مبين هُوَ الَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي الْأُمِّيِّينَ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا مِن قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہی ہے جس نے اَن پڑھ لوگوں میں انہی میں سے ایک (با عظمت) رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو بھیجا وہ اُن پر اُس کی آیتیں پڑھ کر سناتے ہیں اور اُن (کے ظاہر و باطن) کو پاک کرتے ہیں اور انہیں کتاب و حکمت کی تعلیم دیتے ہیں، بیشک وہ لوگ اِن (کے تشریف لانے) سے پہلے کھلی گمراہی میں تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered a messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;-

| 3. [62:3] | Waakhareena minhum lamma yalhaqoobihim wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu | وآخرين منهم لما يلحقوا بهم وهو العزيز الحكيم وَآخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان میں سے دوسرے لوگوں میں بھی (اِس رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو تزکیہ و تعلیم کے لئے بھیجا ہے) جو ابھی اِن لوگوں سے نہیں ملے (جو اس وقت موجود ہیں یعنی اِن کے بعد کے زمانہ میں آئیں گے)، اور وہ بڑا غالب بڑی حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As well as (to confer all these benefits upon) others of them, who have not already joined them: And He is exalted in Might, Wise.

| 4. [62:4] | Thalika fadlu Allahiyu/teehi man yashao waAllahu thooalfadli alAAatheemi | ذلك فضل الله يؤتيه من يشاء والله ذو الفضل العظيم ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (یعنی اس رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی آمد اور اِن کا فیض و ہدایت) اللہ کا فضل ہے وہ جسے چاہتا ہے اس سے نوازتا ہے، اوراللہ بڑے فضل والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Such is the Bounty of Allah, which He bestows on whom He will: and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty.

[62:6] | Qul ya ayyuha allatheenahadoo in zaAAamtum annakum awliyao lillahimin dooni alnnasi fatamannawoo almawta in kuntum sadiqeena | قل يا أيها الذين هادوا إن زعمتم أنكم أولياء لله من دون الناس فتمنوا الموت إن كنتم صادقين قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ هَادُوا إِن زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ لِلَّهِ مِن دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ فرما دیجئے: اے یہودیو! اگر تم یہ گمان کرتے ہو کہ سب لوگوں کو چھوڑ کر تم ہی اللہ کے دوست (یعنی اولیاء) ہو تو موت کی آرزو کرو (کیونکہ اس کے اولیاء کو تو قبر و حشر میں کوئی پریشانی نہیں ہوگی) اگر تم (اپنے خیال میں) سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "O ye that stand on Judaism! If ye think that ye are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if ye are truthful!"

[62:5] | Mathalu allatheena hummiloo alttawratathumma lam yahmilooha kamathali alhimariyahmilu asfaran bi/sa mathalu alqawmi allatheenakaththaboo bi-ayati Allahi waAllahula yahdee alqawma alththalimeena | مثل الذين حملوا التوراة ثم لم يحملوها كمثل الحمار يحمل أسفارا بئس مثل القوم الذين كذبوا بآيات الله والله لا يهدي القوم الظالمين مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ حُمِّلُوا التَّوْرَاةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارًا بِئْسَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اُن لوگوں کا حال جن پر تورات (کے احکام و تعلیمات) کا بوجھ ڈالا گیا پھر انہوں نے اسے نہ اٹھایا (یعنی اس میں اِس رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا ذکر موجود تھا مگر وہ اِن پر ایمان نہ لائے) گدھے کی مِثل ہے جو پیٹھ پر بڑی بڑی کتابیں لادے ہوئے ہو، اُن لوگوں کی مثال کیا ہی بُری ہے جنہوں نے اللہ کی آیتوں کو جھٹلایا ہے، اور اللہ ظالم لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں فرماتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes (but understands them not). Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of Allah: and Allah guides not people who do wrong.

| 7. [62:7] | Wala yatamannawnahu abadan bimaqaddamat aydeehim waAllahu AAaleemun bialththalimeena | ولا يتمنونه أبدا بما قدمت أيديهم والله عليم بالظالمين وَلَا يَتَمَنَّوْنَهُ أَبَدًا بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ لوگ کبھی بھی اس کی تمنا نہیں کریں گے اُس (رسول کی تکذیب اور کفر) کے باعث جو وہ آگے بھیج چکے ہیں۔ اور اللہ ظالموں کو خُوب جانتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But never will they express their desire (for Death), because of the (deeds) their hands have sent on before them! and Allah knows well those that do wrong!

| Words | |ولا - But not| يتمنونه - they will wish for it,| أبدا - ever,| بما - for what| قدمت - (have) sent forth| أيديهم - their hands.| والله - And Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knowing| بالظالمين - of the wrongdoers.| | ||||||

[62:8] | Qul inna almawta allathee tafirroonaminhu fa-innahu mulaqeekum thumma turaddoona ila AAalimialghaybi waalshshahadati fayunabbi-okum bimakuntum taAAmaloona | قل إن الموت الذي تفرون منه فإنه ملاقيكم ثم تردون إلى عالم الغيب والشهادة فينبئكم بما كنتم تعملون قُلْ إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ الَّذِي تَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ مُلَاقِيكُمْ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَى عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: جس موت سے تم بھاگتے ہو وہ ضرور تمہیں ملنے والی ہے پھر تم ہر پوشیدہ و ظاہر چیز کو جاننے والے (رب) کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے، سو وہ تمہیں آگاہ کر دے گا جو کچھ تم کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "The Death from which ye flee will truly overtake you: then will ye be sent back to the Knower of things secret and open: and He will tell you (the truth of) the things that ye did!"

[62:10] | Fa-itha qudiyati alssalatufaintashiroo fee al-ardi waibtaghoo min fadliAllahi waothkuroo Allaha katheeranlaAAallakum tuflihoona | فإذا قضيت الصلاة فانتشروا في الأرض وابتغوا من فضل الله واذكروا الله كثيرا لعلكم تفلحون فَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَانتَشِرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَابْتَغُوا مِن فَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب نماز ادا ہوچکے تو زمین میں منتشر ہو جاؤ اور (پھر) اللہ کا فضل (یعنی رزق) تلاش کرنے لگو اور اللہ کو کثرت سے یاد کیا کرو تاکہ تم فلاح پاؤ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.

[62:9] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha noodiya lilssalati min yawmialjumuAAati faisAAaw ila thikri Allahiwatharoo albayAAa thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntumtaAAlamoona | يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا نودي للصلاة من يوم الجمعة فاسعوا إلى ذكر الله وذروا البيع ذلكم خير لكم إن كنتم تعلمون يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ مِن يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! جب جمعہ کے دن (جمعہ کی) نماز کے لئے اذان دی جائے تو فوراً اللہ کے ذکر (یعنی خطبہ و نماز) کی طرف تیزی سے چل پڑو اور خرید و فروخت (یعنی کاروبار) چھوڑ دو۔ یہ تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے اگر تم علم رکھتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew!

[62:11] | Wa-itha raaw tijaratan awlahwan infaddoo ilayha watarakooka qa-imanqul ma AAinda Allahi khayrun mina allahwi wamina alttijaratiwaAllahu khayru alrraziqeena | وإذا رأوا تجارة أو لهوا انفضوا إليها وتركوك قائما قل ما عند الله خير من اللهو ومن التجارة والله خير الرازقين وَإِذَا رَأَوْا تِجَارَةً أَوْ لَهْوًا انفَضُّوا إِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَائِمًا قُلْ مَا عِندَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ اللَّهْوِ وَمِنَ التِّجَارَةِ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب انہوں نے کوئی تجارت یا کھیل تماشا دیکھا تو (اپنی حاجت مندی اور معاشی تنگی کے باعث) اس کی طرف بھاگ کھڑے ہوئے اور آپ کو (خطبہ میں) کھڑے چھوڑ گئے، فرما دیجئے: جو کچھ اللہ کے پاس ہے وہ کھیل سے اور تجارت سے بہتر ہے، اور اللہ سب سے بہتر رزق دینے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But when they see some bargain or some amusement, they disperse headlong to it, and leave thee standing. Say: "The (blessing) from the Presence of Allah is better than any amusement or bargain! and Allah is the Best to provide (for all needs)."
