| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [7:26] | Ya banee adama qad anzalnaAAalaykum libasan yuwaree saw-atikumwareeshan walibasu alttaqwa thalikakhayrun thalika min ayati AllahilaAAallahum yaththakkaroona |  يا بني آدم قد أنزلنا عليكم لباسا يواري سوآتكم وريشا ولباس التقوى ذلك خير ذلك من آيات الله لعلهم يذكرونيَا بَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْءَاتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَى ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ ذَلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے اولادِ آدم! بیشک ہم نے تمہارے لئے (ایسا) لباس اتارا ہے جو تمہاری شرم گاہوں کو چھپائے اور (تمہیں) زینت بخشے اور (اس ظاہری لباس کے ساتھ ایک باطنی لباس بھی اتارا ہے اور وہی) تقوٰی کا لباس ہی بہتر ہے۔ یہ (ظاہر و باطن کے لباس سب) اﷲ کی نشانیاں ہیں تاکہ وہ نصیحت قبول کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition!

[7:29] | Qul amara rabbee bialqistiwaaqeemoo wujoohakum AAinda kulli masjidin waodAAoohumukhliseena lahu alddeena kama badaakumtaAAoodoona | قل أمر ربي بالقسط وأقيموا وجوهكم عند كل مسجد وادعوه مخلصين له الدين كما بدأكم تعودون قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ وَأَقِيمُواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: میرے رب نے انصاف کا حکم دیا ہے، اور تم ہر سجدہ کے وقت و مقام پر اپنے رُخ (کعبہ کی طرف) سیدھے کر لیا کرو اور تمام تر فرمانبرداری اس کے لئے خالص کرتے ہوئے اس کی عبادت کیا کرو۔ جس طرح اس نے تمہاری (خلق و حیات کی) ابتداء کی تم اسی طرح (اس کی طرف) پلٹو گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight: such as He created you in the beginning, so shall ye return."

[7:27] | Ya banee adama layaftinannakumu alshshaytanu kama akhrajaabawaykum mina aljannati yanziAAu AAanhuma libasahumaliyuriyahuma saw-atihima innahu yarakumhuwa waqabeeluhu min haythu la tarawnahum innajaAAalna alshshayateena awliyaa lillatheenala yu/minoona | يا بني آدم لا يفتننكم الشيطان كما أخرج أبويكم من الجنة ينزع عنهما لباسهما ليريهما سوآتهما إنه يراكم هو وقبيله من حيث لا ترونهم إنا جعلنا الشياطين أولياء للذين لا يؤمنون يَا بَنِي آدَمَ لاَ يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ كَمَا أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُم مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ يَـنْـزِعُ عَنْهُمَا لِبَاسَهُمَا لِيُرِيَهُمَا سَوْءَاتِهِمَا إِنَّهُ يَرَاكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ تَرَوْنَهُمْ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ لِلَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے اولادِ آدم! (کہیں) تمہیں شیطان فتنہ میں نہ ڈال دے جس طرح اس نے تمہارے ماں باپ کو جنت سے نکال دیا، ان سے ان کا لباس اتروا دیا تاکہ انہیں ان کی شرم گاہیں دکھا دے۔ بیشک وہ (خود) اور اس کا قبیلہ تمہیں (ایسی ایسی جگہوں سے) دیکھتا (رہتا) ہے جہاں سے تم انہیں نہیں دیکھ سکتے۔ بیشک ہم نے شیطانوں کو ایسے لوگوں کا دوست بنا دیا ہے جو ایمان نہیں رکھتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as He got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends (only) to those without faith.

[7:28] | Wa-itha faAAaloo fahishatan qaloowajadna AAalayha abaana waAllahuamarana biha qul inna Allaha laya/muru bialfahsha-i ataqooloona AAalaAllahi ma la taAAlamoona | وإذا فعلوا فاحشة قالوا وجدنا عليها آباءنا والله أمرنا بها قل إن الله لا يأمر بالفحشاء أتقولون على الله ما لا تعلمون وَإِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَاحِشَةً قَالُواْ وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب وہ کوئی بے حیائی کا کام کرتے ہیں (تو) کہتے ہیں: ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو اسی (طریقہ) پر پایا اور اﷲ نے ہمیں اسی کا حکم دیا ہے۔ فرما دیجئے کہ اﷲ بے حیائی کے کاموں کا حکم نہیں دیتا۔ کیا تم اﷲ (کی ذات) پر ایسی باتیں کرتے ہو جو تم خود (بھی) نہیں جانتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When they do aught that is shameful, they say: "We found our fathers doing so"; and "Allah commanded us thus": Say: "Nay, Allah never commands what is shameful: do ye say of Allah what ye know not?"

[7:30] | Fareeqan hada wafareeqan haqqaAAalayhimu alddalalatu innahumu ittakhathooalshshayateena awliyaa min dooni Allahiwayahsaboona annahum muhtadoona | فريقا هدى وفريقا حق عليهم الضلالة إنهم اتخذوا الشياطين أولياء من دون الله ويحسبون أنهم مهتدون فَرِيقًا هَدَى وَفَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلاَلَةُ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ایک گروہ کو اس نے ہدایت فرمائی اور ایک گروہ پر (اس کے اپنے کسب و عمل کے نتیجے میں) گمراہی ثابت ہو گئی۔ بیشک انہوں نے اﷲ کو چھوڑ کر شیطانوں کو دوست بنا لیا تھا اور وہ یہ گمان کرتے ہیں کہ وہ ہدایت یافتہ ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Some He hath guided: Others have (by their choice) deserved the loss of their way; in that they took the evil ones, in preference to Allah, for their friends and protectors, and think that they receive guidance.

[7:31] | Ya banee adama khuthoozeenatakum AAinda kulli masjidin wakuloo waishraboo walatusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeena | يا بني آدم خذوا زينتكم عند كل مسجد وكلوا واشربوا ولا تسرفوا إنه لا يحب المسرفين يَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُواْ زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَّكُلُواْ وَاشْرَبُواْ وَلاَ تُسْرِفُواْ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے اولادِ آدم! تم ہر نماز کے وقت اپنا لباسِ زینت (پہن) لیا کرو اور کھاؤ اور پیو اور حد سے زیادہ خرچ نہ کرو کہ بیشک وہ بے جا خرچ کرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں فرماتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters.

| 7. [7:34] | Walikulli ommatin ajalun fa-itha jaaajaluhum la yasta/khiroona saAAatan walayastaqdimoona | ولكل أمة أجل فإذا جاء أجلهم لا يستأخرون ساعة ولا يستقدمون وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لاَ يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلاَ يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہر گروہ کے لئے ایک میعاد (مقرر) ہے پھر جب ان کا (مقررہ) وقت آجاتا ہے تو وہ ایک گھڑی (بھی) پیچھے نہیں ہٹ سکتے اور نہ آگے بڑھ سکتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation).

| Words | |ولكل - And for every| أمة - nation| أجل - (is a fixed) term.| فإذا - So when| جاء - comes| أجلهم - their term,| لا - (they can) not| يستأخرون - seek to delay| ساعة - an hour,| ولا - and not| يستقدمون - seek to advance (it).| | ||||||

[7:32] | Qul man harrama zeenata Allahiallatee akhraja liAAibadihi waalttayyibatimina alrrizqi qul hiya lillatheena amanoofee alhayati alddunya khalisatanyawma alqiyamati kathalika nufassilu al-ayatiliqawmin yaAAlamoona | قل من حرم زينة الله التي أخرج لعباده والطيبات من الرزق قل هي للذين آمنوا في الحياة الدنيا خالصة يوم القيامة كذلك نفصل الآيات لقوم يعلمون قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِ وَالْطَّيِّبَاتِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ قُلْ هِيَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا خَالِصَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: اﷲ کی اس زینت (و آرائش) کو کس نے حرام کیا ہے جو اس نے اپنے بندوں کے لئے پیدا فرمائی ہے اور کھانے کی پاک ستھری چیزوں کو (بھی کس نے حرام کیا ہے)؟ فرما دیجئے: یہ (سب نعمتیں جو) اہلِ ایمان کی دنیا کی زندگی میں (بالعموم روا) ہیں قیامت کے دن بالخصوص (انہی کے لئے) ہوں گی۔ اس طرح ہم جاننے والوں کے لئے آیتیں تفصیل سے بیان کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: Who hath forbidden the beautiful (gifts) of Allah, which He hath produced for His servants, and the things, clean and pure, (which He hath provided) for sustenance? Say: They are, in the life of this world, for those who believe, (and) purely for them on the Day of Judgment. Thus do We explain the signs in detail for those who understand.

[7:36] | Waallatheena kaththaboobi-ayatina waistakbaroo AAanhaola-ika as-habu alnnari humfeeha khalidoona | والذين كذبوا بآياتنا واستكبروا عنها أولئك أصحاب النار هم فيها خالدون وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ عَنْهَا أُوْلَـَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا اور ان (پر ایمان لانے) سے سرکشی کی، وہی اہلِ جہنم ہیں، وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance,- they are companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for ever).

[7:33] | Qul innama harrama rabbiyaalfawahisha ma thahara minhawama batana waal-ithma waalbaghyabighayri alhaqqi waan tushrikoo biAllahi malam yunazzil bihi sultanan waan taqooloo AAala Allahima la taAAlamoona | قل إنما حرم ربي الفواحش ما ظهر منها وما بطن والإثم والبغي بغير الحق وأن تشركوا بالله ما لم ينزل به سلطانا وأن تقولوا على الله ما لا تعلمون قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالْإِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَأَن تُشْرِكُواْ بِاللّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَأَن تَقُولُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے کہ میرے ربّ نے (تو) صرف بے حیائی کی باتوں کو حرام کیا ہے جو ان میں سے ظاہر ہوں اور جو پوشیدہ ہوں (سب کو) اور گناہ کو اور ناحق زیادتی کو اور اس بات کو کہ تم اﷲ کا شریک ٹھہراؤ جس کی اس نے کوئی سند نہیں اتاری اور (مزید) یہ کہ تم اﷲ (کی ذات) پر ایسی باتیں کہو جو تم خود بھی نہیں جانتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: the things that my Lord hath indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which He hath given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which ye have no knowledge.

[7:35] | Ya banee adama immaya/tiyannakum rusulun minkum yaqussoona AAalaykum ayateefamani ittaqa waaslaha fala khawfunAAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona | يا بني آدم إما يأتينكم رسل منكم يقصون عليكم آياتي فمن اتقى وأصلح فلا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون يَا بَنِي آدَمَ إِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِي فَمَنِ اتَّقَى وَأَصْلَحَ فَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے اولادِ آدم! اگر تمہارے پاس تم میں سے رسول آئیں جو تم پر میری آیتیں بیان کریں پس جو پرہیزگار بن گیا اور اس نے (اپنی) اصلاح کر لی تو ان پر نہ کوئی خوف ہوگا اور نہ (ہی) وہ رنجیدہ ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye Children of Adam! whenever there come to you messengers from amongst you, rehearsing My signs unto you,- those who are righteous and mend (their lives),- on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.

[7:39] | Waqalat oolahum li-okhrahumfama kana lakum AAalayna min fadlinfathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum taksiboona | وقالت أولاهم لأخراهم فما كان لكم علينا من فضل فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكسبون وَقَالَتْ أُولاَهُمْ لِأُخْرَاهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍ فَذُوقُواْ الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کے اگلے اپنے پچھلوں سے کہیں گے: سو تمہیں ہم پر کچھ فضیلت نہ ہوئی پس (اب) تم (بھی) عذاب (کا مزہ) چکھو اس کے سبب جو کچھ تم کماتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then the first will say to the last: "See then! No advantage have ye over us; so taste ye of the penalty for all that ye did !"

[7:37] | Faman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththababi-ayatihi ola-ika yanaluhum naseebuhummina alkitabi hatta itha jaat-humrusuluna yatawaffawnahum qaloo ayna makuntum tadAAoona min dooni Allahi qaloo dallooAAanna washahidoo AAala anfusihim annahum kanookafireena | فمن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا أو كذب بآياته أولئك ينالهم نصيبهم من الكتاب حتى إذا جاءتهم رسلنا يتوفونهم قالوا أين ما كنتم تدعون من دون الله قالوا ضلوا عنا وشهدوا على أنفسهم أنهم كانوا كافرين فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ أُوْلَـئِكَ يَنَالُهُمْ نَصِيبُهُم مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْ قَالُواْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ قَالُواْ ضَلُّواْ عَنَّا وَشَهِدُواْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ كَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر اس شخص سے زیادہ ظالم کون ہو سکتا ہے جو اﷲ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھے یا اس کی آیتوں کو جھٹلائے؟ ان لوگوں کو ان کا (وہ) حصہ پہنچ جائے گا (جو) نوشۃٔ کتاب ہے، یہاں تک کہ جب ان کے پاس ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے (فرشتے) آئیں گے کہ ان کی روحیں قبض کر لیں (تو ان سے) کہیں گے: اب وہ (جھوٹے معبود) کہاں ہیں جن کی تم اﷲ کے سوا عبادت کرتے تھے؟ وہ (جواباً) کہیں گے کہ وہ ہم سے گم ہوگئے (یعنی اب کہاں نظر آتے ہیں) اور وہ اپنی جانوں کے خلاف (خود یہ) گواہی دیں گے کہ بیشک وہ کافر تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or rejects His Signs? For such, their portion appointed must reach them from the Book (of decrees): until, when our messengers (of death) arrive and take their souls, they say: "Where are the things that ye used to invoke besides Allah?" They will reply, "They have left us in the lurch," And they will bear witness against themselves, that they had rejected Allah.

[7:38] | Qala odkhuloo fee omamin qad khalatmin qablikum mina aljinni waal-insi fee alnnarikullama dakhalat ommatun laAAanat okhtaha hattaitha iddarakoo feeha jameeAAan qalatokhrahum li-oolahum rabbana haola-iadalloona faatihim AAathaban diAAfanmina alnnari qala likullin diAAfunwalakin la taAAlamoona | قال ادخلوا في أمم قد خلت من قبلكم من الجن والإنس في النار كلما دخلت أمة لعنت أختها حتى إذا اداركوا فيها جميعا قالت أخراهم لأولاهم ربنا هؤلاء أضلونا فآتهم عذابا ضعفا من النار قال لكل ضعف ولكن لا تعلمون قَالَ ادْخُلُواْ فِي أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُم مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ فِي النَّارِ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ أُمَّةٌ لَّعَنَتْ أُخْتَهَا حَتَّى إِذَا ادَّارَكُواْ فِيهَا جَمِيعًا قَالَتْ أُخْرَاهُمْ لِأُولاَهُمْ رَبَّنَا هَـؤُلاَءِ أَضَلُّونَا فَآتِهِمْ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا مِّنَ النَّارِ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلَـكِن لاَّ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اﷲ فرمائے گا: تم جنوں اور انسانوں کی ان (جہنّمی) جماعتوں میں شامل ہو کر جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکی ہیں دوزخ میں داخل ہو جاؤ۔ جب بھی کوئی جماعت (دوزخ میں) داخل ہوگی وہ اپنے جیسی دوسری جماعت پر لعنت بھیجے گی، یہاں تک کہ جب اس میں سارے (گروہ) جمع ہو جائیں گے تو ان کے پچھلے اپنے اگلوں کے حق میں کہیں گے کہ اے ہمارے ربّ! انہی لوگوں نے ہمیں گمراہ کیا تھا سو ان کو دوزخ کا دوگنا عذاب دے۔ ارشاد ہوگا: ہر ایک کے لئے دوگنا ہے مگر تم جانتے نہیں ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." Every time a new people enters, it curses its sister-people (that went before), until they follow each other, all into the Fire. Saith the last about the first: "Our Lord! it is these that misled us: so give them a double penalty in the Fire." He will say: "Doubled for all" : but this ye do not understand.

[7:40] | Inna allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinawaistakbaroo AAanha la tufattahulahum abwabu alssama-i walayadkhuloona aljannata hatta yalija aljamalu feesammi alkhiyati wakathalika najzee almujrimeena | إن الذين كذبوا بآياتنا واستكبروا عنها لا تفتح لهم أبواب السماء ولا يدخلون الجنة حتى يلج الجمل في سم الخياط وكذلك نجزي المجرمين إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ عَنْهَا لاَ تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَلاَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا اور ان سے سرکشی کی ان کے لئے آسمانِ (رحمت و قبولیت) کے دروازے نہیں کھولے جائیں گے اور نہ ہی وہ جنت میں داخل ہو سکیں گے یہاں تک کہ سوئی کے سوراخ میں اونٹ داخل ہو جائے (یعنی جیسے یہ ناممکن ہے اسی طرح ان کا جنت میں داخل ہونا بھی ناممکن ہے)، اور ہم مجرموں کو اسی طرح سزا دیتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To those who reject Our signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: Such is Our reward for those in sin.

| 16. [7:41] | Lahum min jahannama mihadun waminfawqihim ghawashin wakathalika najzee alththalimeena | لهم من جهنم مهاد ومن فوقهم غواش وكذلك نجزي الظالمين لَهُم مِّن جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِن فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کے لئے (آتشِ) دوزخ کا بچھونا اور ان کے اوپر (اسی کا) اوڑھنا ہوگا، اور ہم ظالموں کو اسی طرح سزا دیتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For them there is Hell, as a couch (below) and folds and folds of covering above: such is Our requital of those who do wrong.

[7:42] | Waallatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati la nukallifunafsan illa wusAAaha ola-ika as-habualjannati hum feeha khalidoona | والذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات لا نكلف نفسا إلا وسعها أولئك أصحاب الجنة هم فيها خالدون وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّالِحَاتِ لاَ نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا أُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے، ہم کسی شخص کو اس کی طاقت سے زیادہ مکلّف نہیں کرتے، یہی لوگ اہلِ جنت ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But those who believe and work righteousness,- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear,- they will be Companions of the Garden, therein to dwell (for ever).

| 18. [7:45] | Allatheena yasuddoona AAansabeeli Allahi wayabghoonaha AAiwajan wahum bial-akhiratikafiroona | الذين يصدون عن سبيل الله ويبغونها عوجا وهم بالآخرة كافرون الَّذِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ كَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (یہ وہی ہیں) جو (لوگوں کو) اﷲ کی راہ سے روکتے تھے اور اس میں کجی تلاش کرتے تھے اور وہ آخرت کا انکار کرنے والے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Those who would hinder (men) from the path of Allah and would seek in it something crooked: they were those who denied the Hereafter."

[7:47] | Wa-itha surifat absaruhumtilqaa as-habi alnnari qaloorabbana la tajAAalna maAAa alqawmi alththalimeena | وإذا صرفت أبصارهم تلقاء أصحاب النار قالوا ربنا لا تجعلنا مع القوم الظالمين وَإِذَا صُرِفَتْ أَبْصَارُهُمْ تِلْقَاءَ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ قَالُواْ رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ان کی نگاہیں دوزخ والوں کی طرف پھیری جائیں گی تو وہ کہیں گے: اے ہمارے ربّ! ہمیں ظالم گروہ کے ساتھ (جمع) نہ کر | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When their eyes shall be turned towards the Companions of the Fire, they will say: "Our Lord! send us not to the company of the wrong-doers."

[7:43] | WanazaAAna ma fee sudoorihimmin ghillin tajree min tahtihimu al-anharu waqalooalhamdu lillahi allathee hadanalihatha wama kunna linahtadiya lawlaan hadana Allahu laqad jaat rusulurabbina bialhaqqi wanoodoo an tilkumualjannatu oorithtumooha bima kuntum taAAmaloona | ونزعنا ما في صدورهم من غل تجري من تحتهم الأنهار وقالوا الحمد لله الذي هدانا لهذا وما كنا لنهتدي لولا أن هدانا الله لقد جاءت رسل ربنا بالحق ونودوا أن تلكم الجنة أورثتموها بما كنتم تعملون وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمُ الْأَنْهَارُ وَقَالُواْ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَـذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلاَ أَنْ هَدَانَا اللّهُ لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَنُودُواْ أَن تِلْكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم وہ (رنجش و) کینہ جو ان کے سینوں میں (دنیا کے اندر ایک دوسرے کے لئے) تھا نکال (کے دور کر) دیں گے ان کے (محلوں کے) نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی، اور وہ کہیں گے: سب تعریفیں اﷲ ہی کے لئے ہیں جس نے ہمیں یہاں تک پہنچا دیا، اور ہم (اس مقام تک کبھی) راہ نہ پا سکتے تھے اگر اﷲ ہمیں ہدایت نہ فرماتا، بیشک ہمارے رب کے رسول حق (کا پیغام) لائے تھے، اور (اس دن) ندا دی جائے گی کہ تم لوگ اس جنت کے وارث بنا دیئے گئے ہو ان (نیک) اعمال کے باعث جو تم انجام دیتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury;- beneath them will be rivers flowing;- and they shall say: "Praise be to Allah, who hath guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of Allah: indeed it was the truth, that the messengers of our Lord brought unto us." And they shall hear the cry: "Behold! the garden before you! Ye have been made its inheritors, for your deeds (of righteousness)."

[7:44] | Wanada as-habualjannati as-haba alnnari an qadwajadna ma waAAadana rabbuna haqqanfahal wajadtum ma waAAada rabbukum haqqan qaloonaAAam faaththana mu-aththinun baynahum an laAAnatuAllahi AAala alththalimeena | ونادى أصحاب الجنة أصحاب النار أن قد وجدنا ما وعدنا ربنا حقا فهل وجدتم ما وعد ربكم حقا قالوا نعم فأذن مؤذن بينهم أن لعنة الله على الظالمين وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ أَن قَدْ وَجَدْنَا مَا وَعَدَنَا رَبُّنَا حَقًّا فَهَلْ وَجَدتُّم مَّا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا قَالُواْ نَعَمْ فَأَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ بَيْنَهُمْ أَن لَّعْنَةُ اللّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اہلِ جنت دوزخ والوں کو پکار کر کہیں گے: ہم نے تو واقعتاً اسے سچّا پالیا جو وعدہ ہمارے رب نے ہم سے فرمایا تھا، سو کیا تم نے (بھی) اسے سچّا پایا جو وعدہ تمہارے ربّ نے (تم سے) کیا تھا؟ وہ کہیں گے: ہاں۔ پھر ان کے درمیان ایک آواز دینے والا آواز دے گا کہ ظالموں پر اﷲ کی لعنت ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: "We have indeed found the promises of our Lord to us true: Have you also found Your Lord's promises true?" They shall say, "Yes"; but a crier shall proclaim between them: "The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers;-

[7:46] | Wabaynahuma hijabunwaAAala al-aAArafi rijalun yaAArifoonakullan biseemahum wanadaw as-habaaljannati an salamun AAalaykum lam yadkhuloohawahum yatmaAAoona | وبينهما حجاب وعلى الأعراف رجال يعرفون كلا بسيماهم ونادوا أصحاب الجنة أن سلام عليكم لم يدخلوها وهم يطمعون وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌ وَعَلَى الْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَعْرِفُونَ كُلاًّ بِسِيمَاهُمْ وَنَادَوْاْ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَن سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَمْ يَدْخُلُوهَا وَهُمْ يَطْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ان) دونوں (یعنی جنتیوں اور دوزخیوں) کے درمیان ایک حجاب (یعنی فصیل) ہے، اور اَعراف (یعنی اسی فصیل) پر کچھ مرد ہوں گے جو سب کو ان کی نشانیوں سے پہچان لیں گے۔ اور وہ اہلِ جنت کو پکار کر کہیں گے کہ تم پر سلامتی ہو۔ وہ (اہلِ اَعراف خود ابھی) جنت میں داخل نہیں ہوئے ہوں گے حالانکہ وہ (اس کے) امیدوار ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Between them shall be a veil, and on the heights will be men who would know every one by his marks: they will call out to the Companions of the Garden, "peace on you": they will not have entered, but they will have an assurance (thereof).

[7:48] | Wanada as-habual-aAArafi rijalan yaAArifoonahum biseemahumqaloo ma aghna AAankum jamAAukum wamakuntum tastakbiroona | ونادى أصحاب الأعراف رجالا يعرفونهم بسيماهم قالوا ما أغنى عنكم جمعكم وما كنتم تستكبرون وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ الْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالاً يَعْرِفُونَهُمْ بِسِيمَاهُمْ قَالُواْ مَا أَغْنَى عَنكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اہلِ اعراف (ان دوزخی) مردوں کو پکاریں گے جنہیں وہ ان کی نشانیوں سے پہچان رہے ہوں گے (ان سے) کہیں گے: تمہاری جماعتیں تمہارے کام نہ آسکیں اور نہ (وہ) تکبّر (تمہیں بچا سکا) جو تم کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The men on the heights will call to certain men whom they will know from their marks, saying: "Of what profit to you were your hoards and your arrogant ways?

[7:49] | Ahaola-i allatheenaaqsamtum la yanaluhumu Allahu birahmatinodkhuloo aljannata la khawfun AAalaykum wala antumtahzanoona | أهؤلاء الذين أقسمتم لا ينالهم الله برحمة ادخلوا الجنة لا خوف عليكم ولا أنتم تحزنون أَهَـؤُلاَءِ الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لاَ يَنَالُهُمُ اللّهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ ادْخُلُواْ الْجَنَّةَ لاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلاَ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا یہی وہ لوگ ہیں (جن کی خستہ حالت دیکھ کر) تم قَسمیں کھایا کرتے تھے کہ اﷲ انہیں اپنی رحمت سے (کبھی) نہیں نوازے گا؟ (سن لو! اب انہی کو کہا جا رہا ہے:) تم جنت میں داخل ہو جاؤ نہ تم پر کوئی خوف ہوگا اور نہ تم غمگین ہوگے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Behold! are these not the men whom you swore that Allah with His Mercy would never bless? Enter ye the Garden: no fear shall be on you, nor shall ye grieve."

| 25. [7:52] | Walaqad ji/nahum bikitabin fassalnahuAAala AAilmin hudan warahmatan liqawmin yu/minoona | ولقد جئناهم بكتاب فصلناه على علم هدى ورحمة لقوم يؤمنون وَلَقَدْ جِئْنَاهُم بِكِتَابٍ فَصَّلْنَاهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ هُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم ان کے پاس ایسی کتاب (قرآن) لائے جسے ہم نے (اپنے) علم (کی بنا) پر مفصّل (یعنی واضح) کیا، وہ ایمان والوں کے لئے ہدایت اور رحمت ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For We had certainly sent unto them a Book, based on knowledge, which We explained in detail,- a guide and a mercy to all who believe.

| Tahir ul Qadri | تم اپنے رب سے گڑگڑا کر اور آہستہ (دونوں طریقوں سے) دعا کیا کرو، بیشک وہ حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Call on your Lord with humility and in private: for Allah loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds.

[7:50] | Wanada as-habu alnarias-haba aljannati an afeedoo AAalaynamina alma-i aw mimma razaqakumu Allahu qalooinna Allaha harramahuma AAala alkafireena | ونادى أصحاب النار أصحاب الجنة أن أفيضوا علينا من الماء أو مما رزقكم الله قالوا إن الله حرمهما على الكافرين وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُواْ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّهُ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور دوزخ والے اہلِ جنت کو پکار کر کہیں گے کہ ہمیں (جنّتی) پانی سے کچھ فیض یاب کر دو یا اس (رزق) میں سے جو اﷲ نے تمہیں بخشا ہے۔ وہ کہیں گے: بیشک اﷲ نے یہ دونوں (نعمتیں) کافروں پر حرام کر دی ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Companions of the Fire will call to the Companions of the Garden: "Pour down to us water or anything that Allah doth provide for your sustenance." They will say: "Both these things hath Allah forbidden to those who rejected Him."

[7:56] | Wala tufsidoo fee al-ardibaAAda islahiha waodAAoohu khawfan watamaAAaninna rahmata Allahi qareebun mina almuhsineena | ولا تفسدوا في الأرض بعد إصلاحها وادعوه خوفا وطمعا إن رحمت الله قريب من المحسنين وَلاَ تُفْسِدُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلاَحِهَا وَادْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللّهِ قَرِيبٌ مِّنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور زمین میں اس کے سنور جانے (یعنی ملک کا ماحولِ حیات درست ہو جانے) کے بعد فساد انگیزی نہ کرو اور (اس کے عذاب سے) ڈرتے ہوئے اور (اس کی رحمت کی) امید رکھتے ہوئے اس سے دعا کرتے رہا کرو، بیشک اﷲ کی رحمت احسان شعار لوگوں (یعنی نیکوکاروں) کے قریب ہوتی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do no mischief on the earth, after it hath been set in order, but call on Him with fear and longing (in your hearts): for the Mercy of Allah is (always) near to those who do good.

[7:51] | Allatheena ittakhathoodeenahum lahwan walaAAiban wagharrat-humu alhayatualddunya faalyawma nansahum kamanasoo liqaa yawmihim hatha wama kanoobi-ayatina yajhadoona | الذين اتخذوا دينهم لهوا ولعبا وغرتهم الحياة الدنيا فاليوم ننساهم كما نسوا لقاء يومهم هذا وما كانوا بآياتنا يجحدون الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُواْ دِينَهُمْ لَهْوًا وَلَعِبًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا فَالْيَوْمَ نَنسَاهُمْ كَمَا نَسُواْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هَـذَا وَمَا كَانُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جنہوں نے اپنے دین کو تماشا اور کھیل بنا لیا اور جنہیں دنیوی زندگی نے فریب دے رکھا تھا، آج ہم انہیں اسی طرح بھلا دیں گے جیسے وہ (ہم سے) اپنے اس دن کی ملاقات کو بھولے ہوئے تھے اور جیسے وہ ہماری آیتوں کا انکار کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Such as took their religion to be mere amusement and play, and were deceived by the life of the world." That day shall We forget them as they forgot the meeting of this day of theirs, and as they were wont to reject Our signs.

[7:58] | Waalbaladu alttayyibuyakhruju nabatuhu bi-ithni rabbihi waallatheekhabutha la yakhruju illa nakidan kathalikanusarrifu al-ayati liqawmin yashkuroona | والبلد الطيب يخرج نباته بإذن ربه والذي خبث لا يخرج إلا نكدا كذلك نصرف الآيات لقوم يشكرون وَالْبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُهُ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ وَالَّذِي خَبُثَ لاَ يَخْرُجُ إِلاَّ نَكِدًا كَذَلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَشْكُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو اچھی (یعنی زرخیز) زمین ہے اس کا سبزہ اﷲ کے حکم سے (خوب) نکلتا ہے اور جو (زمین) خراب ہے (اس سے) تھوڑی سی بے فائدہ چیز کے سوا کچھ نہیں نکلتا۔ اسی طرح ہم (اپنی) آیتیں (یعنی دلائل اور نشانیاں) ان لوگوں کے لئے بار بار بیان کرتے ہیں جو شکرگزار ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | From the land that is clean and good, by the will of its Cherisher, springs up produce, (rich) after its kind: but from the land that is bad, springs up nothing but that which is niggardly: thus do we explain the signs by various (symbols) to those who are grateful.
