| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [7:85] | Wa-ila madyana akhahumshuAAayban qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha malakum min ilahin ghayruhu qad jaatkum bayyinatunmin rabbikum faawfoo alkayla waalmeezana walatabkhasoo alnnasa ashyaahum walatufsidoo fee al-ardi baAAda islahiha thalikumkhayrun lakum in kuntum mu/mineena |  وإلى مدين أخاهم شعيبا قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله غيره قد جاءتكم بينة من ربكم فأوفوا الكيل والميزان ولا تبخسوا الناس أشياءهم ولا تفسدوا في الأرض بعد إصلاحها ذلكم خير لكم إن كنتم مؤمنينوَإِلَى مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـهٍ غَيْرُهُ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَوْفُواْ الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ وَلاَ تَبْخَسُواْ النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلاَ تُفْسِدُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلاَحِهَا ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور مدین کی طرف (ہم نے) ان کے (قومی) بھائی شعیب (علیہ السلام) کو (بھیجا)، انہوں نے کہا: اے میری قوم! تم اﷲ کی عبادت کیا کرو، اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں، بیشک تمہارے پاس تمہارے رب کی طرف سے روشن دلیل آچکی ہے سو تم ماپ اور تول پورے کیا کرو اور لوگوں کو ان کی چیزیں گھٹا کر نہ دیا کرو اور زمین میں اس (کے ماحولِ حیات) کی اصلاح کے بعد فساد بپا نہ کیا کرو، یہ تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے اگر تم (اس الُوہی پیغام کو) ماننے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To the Madyan people We sent Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah; Ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! Give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due; and do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order: that will be best for you, if ye have Faith.

| Words | |وإلى - And to| مدين - Madyan,| أخاهم - his brother| شعيبا - Shuaib.| قال - He said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| اعبدوا - Worship| الله - Allah,| ما - not| لكم - for you| من - any| إله - god| غيره - other than Him.| قد - Verily,| جاءتكم - has came to you| بينة - a clear proof| من - from| ربكم - your Lord.| فأوفوا - So give full| الكيل - [the] measure| والميزان - and the weight| ولا - and (do) not| تبخسوا - deprive| الناس - [the] people| أشياءهم - in their things| ولا - and (do) not| تفسدوا - cause corruption| في - in| الأرض - the earth| بعد - after| إصلاحها - its reformation.| ذلكم - That| خير - (is) better| لكم - for you| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 2. [7:87] | Wa-in kana ta-ifatun minkum amanoobiallathee orsiltu bihi wata-ifatun lamyu/minoo faisbiroo hatta yahkumaAllahu baynana wahuwa khayru alhakimeena | وإن كان طائفة منكم آمنوا بالذي أرسلت به وطائفة لم يؤمنوا فاصبروا حتى يحكم الله بيننا وهو خير الحاكمين وَإِن كَانَ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنكُمْ آمَنُواْ بِالَّذِي أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ وَطَآئِفَةٌ لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُواْ فَاصْبِرُواْ حَتَّى يَحْكُمَ اللّهُ بَيْنَنَا وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر تم میں سے کوئی ایک گروہ اس (دین) پر جس کے ساتھ میں بھیجا گیا ہوں ایمان لے آیا ہے اور دوسرا گروہ ایمان نہیں لایا تو (اے ایمان والو!) صبر کرو یہاں تک کہ اﷲ ہمارے درمیان فیصلہ فرما دے، اور وہ سب سے بہتر فیصلہ فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And if there is a party among you who believes in the message with which I have been sent, and a party which does not believe, hold yourselves in patience until Allah doth decide between us: for He is the best to decide.

| Words | |وإن - And if| كان - (there) is| طائفة - a group| منكم - among you| آمنوا - (who has) believed| بالذي - in that which| أرسلت - I have been sent| به - with [it],| وطائفة - and a group| لم - not| يؤمنوا - they believe,| فاصبروا - then be patient| حتى - until| يحكم - judges| الله - Allah| بيننا - between us.| وهو - And He| خير - (is the) Best| الحاكمين - (of) [the] Judges."| | ||||||

[7:90] | Waqala almalao allatheenakafaroo min qawmihi la-ini ittabaAAtum shuAAayban innakum ithanlakhasiroona | وقال الملأ الذين كفروا من قومه لئن اتبعتم شعيبا إنكم إذا لخاسرون وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قَوْمِهِ لَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتُمْ شُعَيْباً إِنَّكُمْ إِذاً لَّخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کی قوم کے سرداروں اور رئیسوں نے جو کفر (و انکار) کے مرتکب ہو رہے تھے کہا: (اے لوگو!) اگر تم نے شعیب (علیہ السلام) کی پیروی کی تو اس وقت تم یقیناً نقصان اٹھانے والے ہوجاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The leaders, the unbelievers among his people, said: "If ye follow Shu'aib, be sure then ye are ruined!"

[7:88] | Qala almalao allatheenaistakbaroo min qawmihi lanukhrijannaka ya shuAAaybu waallatheenaamanoo maAAaka min qaryatina aw lataAAoodunna feemillatina qala awa law kunna kariheena | قال الملأ الذين استكبروا من قومه لنخرجنك يا شعيب والذين آمنوا معك من قريتنا أو لتعودن في ملتنا قال أولو كنا كارهين قَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُواْ مِن قَوْمِهِ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكَ يَا شُعَيْبُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَكَ مِن قَرْيَتِنَا أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِي مِلَّتِنَا قَالَ أَوَلَوْ كُنَّا كَارِهِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان کی قوم کے سرداروں اور رئیسوں نے جو سرکش و متکبر تھے کہا: اے شعیب! ہم تمہیں اور ان لوگوں کو جو تمہاری معیت میں ایمان لائے ہیں اپنی بستی سے بہر صورت نکال دیں گے یا تمہیں ضرور ہمارے مذہب میں پلٹ آنا ہوگا۔ شعیب (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اگرچہ ہم (تمہارے مذہب میں پلٹنے سے) بے زار ہی ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The leaders, the arrogant party among his people, said: "O Shu'aib! we shall certainly drive thee out of our city - (thee) and those who believe with thee; or else ye (thou and they) shall have to return to our ways and religion." He said: "What! even though we do detest (them)?

| 5. [7:91] | Faakhathat-humu alrrajfatu faasbahoofee darihim jathimeena | فأخذتهم الرجفة فأصبحوا في دارهم جاثمين فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُواْ فِي دَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس انہیں شدید زلزلہ (کے عذاب) نے آپکڑا، سو وہ (ہلاک ہوکر) صبح اپنے گھروں میں اوندھے پڑے رہ گئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But the earthquake took them unawares, and they lay prostrate in their homes before the morning!

[7:89] | Qadi iftarayna AAala Allahikathiban in AAudna fee millatikum baAAda ithnajjana Allahu minha wamayakoonu lana an naAAooda feeha illa an yashaaAllahu rabbuna wasiAAa rabbuna kulla shay-inAAilman AAala Allahi tawakkalna rabbanaiftah baynana wabayna qawmina bialhaqqiwaanta khayru alfatiheena | قد افترينا على الله كذبا إن عدنا في ملتكم بعد إذ نجانا الله منها وما يكون لنا أن نعود فيها إلا أن يشاء الله ربنا وسع ربنا كل شيء علما على الله توكلنا ربنا افتح بيننا وبين قومنا بالحق وأنت خير الفاتحين قَدِ افْتَرَيْنَا عَلَى اللّهِ كَذِبًا إِنْ عُدْنَا فِي مِلَّتِكُم بَعْدَ إِذْ نَجَّانَا اللّهُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَكُونُ لَنَا أَن نَّعُودَ فِيهَا إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاءَ اللّهُ رَبُّنَا وَسِعَ رَبُّنَا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا عَلَى اللّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ہم اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھیں گے اگر ہم تمہارے مذہب میں اس امر کے بعد پلٹ جائیں کہ اللہ نے ہمیں اس سے بچا لیا ہے، اور ہمارے لئے ہرگز (مناسب) نہیں کہ ہم اس (مذہب) میں پلٹ جائیں مگر یہ کہ اللہ چاہے جو ہمارا رب ہے۔ ہمارا رب اَز روئے علم ہر چیز پر محیط ہے۔ ہم نے اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرلیا ہے، اے ہمارے رب! ہمارے اور ہماری (مخالف) قوم کے درمیان حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ فرما دے اور تو سب سے بہتر فیصلہ فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "We should indeed invent a lie against Allah, if we returned to your ways after Allah hath rescued us therefrom; nor could we by any manner of means return thereto unless it be as in the will and plan of Allah, Our Lord. Our Lord can reach out to the utmost recesses of things by His knowledge. In the Allah is our trust. our Lord! decide Thou between us and our people in truth, for Thou art the best to decide."

[7:92] | Allatheena kaththabooshuAAayban kaan lam yaghnaw feeha allatheena kaththabooshuAAayban kanoo humu alkhasireena | الذين كذبوا شعيبا كأن لم يغنوا فيها الذين كذبوا شعيبا كانوا هم الخاسرين الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ شُعَيْبًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْاْ فِيهَا الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ شُعَيْبًا كَانُواْ هُمُ الْخَاسِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جن لوگوں نے شعیب (علیہ السلام) کو جھٹلایا (وہ ایسے نیست و نابود ہوئے) گویا وہ اس (بستی) میں (کبھی) بسے ہی نہ تھے۔ جن لوگوں نے شعیب (علیہ السلام) کو جھٹلایا (حقیقت میں) وہی نقصان اٹھانے والے ہوگئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The men who reject Shu'aib became as if they had never been in the homes where they had flourished: the men who rejected Shu'aib - it was they who were ruined!

[7:93] | Fatawalla AAanhum waqala yaqawmi laqad ablaghtukum risalati rabbee wanasahtulakum fakayfa asa AAala qawmin kafireena | فتولى عنهم وقال يا قوم لقد أبلغتكم رسالات ربي ونصحت لكم فكيف آسى على قوم كافرين فَتَوَلَّى عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالاَتِ رَبِّي وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ فَكَيْفَ آسَى عَلَى قَوْمٍ كَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تب (شعیب علیہ السلام) ان سے کنارہ کش ہوگئے اور کہنے لگے: اے میری قوم! بیشک میں نے تمہیں اپنے رب کے پیغامات پہنچا دیئے تھے اور میں نے تمہیں نصیحت (بھی) کردی تھی پھر میں کافر قوم (کے تباہ ہونے) پر افسوس کیونکر کروں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So Shu'aib left them, saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the messages for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but how shall I lament over a people who refuse to believe!"

[7:94] | Wama arsalna fee qaryatin minnabiyyin illa akhathna ahlaha bialba/sa-iwaalddarra-i laAAallahum yaddarraAAoona | وما أرسلنا في قرية من نبي إلا أخذنا أهلها بالبأساء والضراء لعلهم يضرعون وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلاَّ أَخَذْنَا أَهْلَهَا بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَضَّرَّعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے کسی بستی میں کوئی نبی نہیں بھیجا مگر ہم نے اس کے باشندوں کو (نبی کی تکذیب و مزاحمت کے باعث) سختی و تنگی اور تکلیف و مصیبت میں گرفتار کرلیا تاکہ وہ آہ و زاری کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Whenever We sent a prophet to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility.

[7:95] | Thumma baddalna makana alssayyi-atialhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qadmassa abaana alddarraowaalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatanwahum la yashAAuroona | ثم بدلنا مكان السيئة الحسنة حتى عفوا وقالوا قد مس آباءنا الضراء والسراء فأخذناهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون ثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّى عَفَواْ وَّقَالُواْ قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے (ان کی) بدحالی کی جگہ خوش حالی بدل دی، یہاں تک کہ وہ (ہر لحاظ سے) بہت بڑھ گئے۔ اور (نا شکری سے) کہنے لگے کہ ہمارے باپ دادا کو بھی (اسی طرح) رنج اور راحت پہنچتی رہی ہے سو ہم نے انہیں اس کفرانِ نعمت پر اچانک پکڑ لیا اور انہیں (اس کی) خبر بھی نہ تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then We changed their suffering into prosperity, until they grew and multiplied, and began to say: "Our fathers (too) were touched by suffering and affluence" ... Behold! We called them to account of a sudden, while they realised not (their peril).

[7:96] | Walaw anna ahla alqura amanoowaittaqaw lafatahna AAalayhim barakatinmina alssama-i waal-ardi walakinkaththaboo faakhathnahum bima kanooyaksiboona | ولو أن أهل القرى آمنوا واتقوا لفتحنا عليهم بركات من السماء والأرض ولكن كذبوا فأخذناهم بما كانوا يكسبون وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَى آمَنُواْ وَاتَّقَواْ لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَرَكَاتٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَـكِن كَذَّبُواْ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر (ان) بستیوں کے باشندے ایمان لے آتے اور تقوٰی اختیار کرتے تو ہم ان پر آسمان اور زمین سے برکتیں کھول دیتے لیکن انہوں نے (حق کو) جھٹلایا، سو ہم نے انہیں ان اَعمالِ (بد) کے باعث جو وہ انجام دیتے تھے (عذاب کی) گرفت میں لے لیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.

| 12. [7:97] | Afaamina ahlu alqura an ya/tiyahumba/suna bayatan wahum na-imoona | أفأمن أهل القرى أن يأتيهم بأسنا بياتا وهم نائمون أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَى أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتاً وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا اب بستیوں کے باشندے اس بات سے بے خوف ہوگئے ہیں کہ ان پر ہمارا عذاب (پھر) رات کو آپہنچے اس حال میں کہ وہ (غفلت کی نیند) سوئے ہوئے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Did the people of the towns feel secure against the coming of Our wrath by night while they were asleep?

| 13. [7:98] | Awa amina ahlu alqura an ya/tiyahumba/suna duhan wahum yalAAaboona | أوأمن أهل القرى أن يأتيهم بأسنا ضحى وهم يلعبون أَوَ أَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَى أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا ضُحًى وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یا بستیوں کے باشندے ا س بات سے بے خوف ہیں کہ ان پر ہمارا عذاب (پھر) دن چڑھے آجائے اس حال میں کہ (وہ دنیا میں مدہوش ہوکر) کھیل رہے ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Or else did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played about (care-free)?

| 14. [7:99] | Afaaminoo makra Allahi falaya/manu makra Allahi illa alqawmu alkhasiroona | أفأمنوا مكر الله فلا يأمن مكر الله إلا القوم الخاسرون أَفَأَمِنُواْ مَكْرَ اللّهِ فَلاَ يَأْمَنُ مَكْرَ اللّهِ إِلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا وہ لو گ اللہ کی مخفی تدبیر سے بے خوف ہیں؟ پس اللہ کی مخفی تدبیر سے کوئی بے خوف نہیں ہوا کرتا سوائے نقصان اٹھانے والی قوم کے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Did they then feel secure against the plan of Allah?- but no one can feel secure from the Plan of Allah, except those (doomed) to ruin!

| 15. [7:102] | Wama wajadna li-aktharihimmin AAahdin wa-in wajadna aktharahum lafasiqeena | وما وجدنا لأكثرهم من عهد وإن وجدنا أكثرهم لفاسقين وَمَا وَجَدْنَا لِأَكْثَرِهِم مِّنْ عَهْدٍ وَإِن وَجَدْنَا أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے ان میں سے اکثر لوگوں میں عہد (کا نباہ) نہ پایا اور ان میں سے اکثر لوگوں کو ہم نے نافرمان ہی پایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Most of them We found not men (true) to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient.

[7:100] | Awa lam yahdi lillatheena yarithoonaal-arda min baAAdi ahliha an law nashao asabnahumbithunoobihim wanatbaAAu AAala quloobihimfahum la yasmaAAoona | أولم يهد للذين يرثون الأرض من بعد أهلها أن لو نشاء أصبناهم بذنوبهم ونطبع على قلوبهم فهم لا يسمعون أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لِلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْأَرْضَ مِن بَعْدِ أَهْلِهَا أَن لَّوْ نَشَاءُ أَصَبْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَنَطْبَعُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا (یہ بات بھی) ان لوگوں کو (شعور و) ہدایت نہیں دیتی جو (ایک زمانے میں) زمین پر رہنے والوں (کی ہلاکت) کے بعد (خود) زمین کے وارث بن رہے ہیں کہ اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان کے گناہوں کے باعث انہیں (بھی) سزا دیں، اور ہم ان کے دلوں پر (ان کی بداَعمالیوں کی وجہ سے) مُہر لگا دیں گے سو وہ (حق کو) سن (سمجھ) بھی نہیں سکیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear?

[7:103] | Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosabi-ayatina ila firAAawna wamala-ihifathalamoo biha faonuthurkayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena | ثم بعثنا من بعدهم موسى بآياتنا إلى فرعون وملئه فظلموا بها فانظر كيف كان عاقبة المفسدين ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَى بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَظَلَمُواْ بِهَا فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے ان کے بعد موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ فرعون اور اس کے (درباری) سرداروں کے پاس بھیجا تو انہوں نے ان (دلائل اور معجزات) کے ساتھ ظلم کیا، پھر آپ دیکھئے کہ فساد پھیلانے والوں کا انجام کیسا ہوا۔ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them: So see what was the end of those who made mischief.

[7:101] | Tilka alqura naqussu AAalaykamin anba-iha walaqad jaat-hum rusuluhum bialbayyinatifama kanoo liyu/minoo bima kaththaboomin qablu kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAalaquloobi alkafireena | تلك القرى نقص عليك من أنبائها ولقد جاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات فما كانوا ليؤمنوا بما كذبوا من قبل كذلك يطبع الله على قلوب الكافرين تِلْكَ الْقُرَى نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنبَآئِهَا وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤْمِنُواْ بِمَا كَذَّبُواْ مِن قَبْلُ كَذَلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ وہ بستیاں ہیں جن کی خبریں ہم آپ کو سنا رہے ہیں، اور بیشک ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو وہ (پھر بھی) اس قابل نہ ہوئے کہ اس پر ایمان لے آتے جسے وہ پہلے جھٹلا چکے تھے، اس طرح اللہ کافروں کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دیتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Such were the towns whose story We (thus) relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear (signs): But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith.

| 19. [7:104] | Waqala moosa yafirAAawnu innee rasoolun min rabbi alAAalameena | وقال موسى يا فرعون إني رسول من رب العالمين وَقَالَ مُوسَى يَا فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّي رَسُولٌ مِّن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اے فرعون! بیشک میں تمام جہانوں کے رب کی طرف سے رسول (آیا) ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Moses said: "O Pharaoh! I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds,-

[7:105] | Haqeequn AAala an laaqoola AAala Allahi illa alhaqqa qadji/tukum bibayyinatin min rabbikum faarsil maAAiya banee isra-eela | حقيق على أن لا أقول على الله إلا الحق قد جئتكم ببينة من ربكم فأرسل معي بني إسرائيل حَقِيقٌ عَلَى أَن لاَّ أَقُولَ عَلَى اللّهِ إِلاَّ الْحَقَّ قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِبَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعِيَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | مجھے یہی زیب دیتا ہے کہ اللہ کے بارے میں حق بات کے سوا (کچھ) نہ کہوں۔ بیشک میں تمہارے رب (کی جانب) سے تمہارے پاس واضح نشانی لایا ہوں، سو تُو بنی اسرائیل کو (اپنی غلامی سے آزاد کر کے) میرے ساتھ بھیج دے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | One for whom it is right to say nothing but truth about Allah. Now have I come unto you (people), from your Lord, with a clear (Sign): So let the Children of Israel depart along with me."

| 21. [7:106] | Qala in kunta ji/ta bi-ayatinfa/ti biha in kunta mina alssadiqeena | قال إن كنت جئت بآية فأت بها إن كنت من الصادقين قَالَ إِن كُنتَ جِئْتَ بِآيَةٍ فَأْتِ بِهَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس (فرعون) نے کہا: اگر تم کوئی نشانی لائے ہو تو اسے (سامنے) لاؤ اگر تم سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Pharaoh) said: "If indeed thou hast come with a Sign, show it forth,- if thou tellest the truth."

| Words | |قال - He said,| إن - "If| كنت - you have| جئت - come| بآية - with a Sign,| فأت - then bring| بها - it| إن - if| كنت - you are| من - of| الصادقين - the truthful."| | ||||||
| 22. [7:107] | Faalqa AAasahu fa-ithahiya thuAAbanun mubeenun | فألقى عصاه فإذا هي ثعبان مبين فَأَلْقَى عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے اپنا عصا (نیچے) ڈال دیا تو اسی وقت صریحاً اژدہا بن گیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then (Moses) threw his rod, and behold! it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)!

| Words | |فألقى - So he threw| عصاه - his staff,| فإذا - and suddenly| هي - it| ثعبان - (was) a serpent,| مبين - manifest.| | ||||||
| 23. [7:108] | WanazaAAa yadahu fa-itha hiya baydaolilnnathireena | ونزع يده فإذا هي بيضاء للناظرين وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اپنا ہاتھ (گریبان میں ڈال کر) نکالا تو وہ (بھی) اسی وقت دیکھنے والوں کے لئے (چمک دار) سفید ہوگیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white to all beholders!

| Words | |ونزع - And he drew out| يده - his hand| فإذا - and suddenly| هي - it| بيضاء - (was) white| للناظرين - for the observers.| | ||||||
| 24. [7:109] | Qala almalao min qawmi firAAawnainna hatha lasahirun AAaleemun | قال الملأ من قوم فرعون إن هذا لساحر عليم قَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّ هَـذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | قومِ فرعون کے سردار بولے: بیشک یہ (تو کوئی) بڑا ماہر جادوگر ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Said the Chiefs of the people of Pharaoh: "This is indeed a sorcerer well-versed.

| Words | |قال - Said| الملأ - the chiefs| من - of| قوم - (the) people| فرعون - (of) Firaun,| إن - "Indeed,| هذا - this| لساحر - (is) surely a magician -| عليم - learned.| | ||||||
| 25. [7:110] | Yureedu an yukhrijakum min ardikumfamatha ta/muroona | يريد أن يخرجكم من أرضكم فماذا تأمرون يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُمْ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (لوگو!) یہ تمہیں تمہارے ملک سے نکالنا چاہتا ہے، سو تم کیا مشورہ دیتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "His plan is to get you out of your land: then what is it ye counsel?"

| Words | |يريد - He wants| أن - to| يخرجكم - drive you out| من - from| أرضكم - your land,| فماذا - so what| تأمرون - (do) you instruct?"| | ||||||
| 26. [7:111] | Qaloo arjih waakhahu waarsilfee almada-ini hashireena | قالوا أرجه وأخاه وأرسل في المدائن حاشرين قَالُواْ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرْسِلْ فِي الْمَدَآئِنِ حَاشِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے کہا: (ابھی) اس کے اور اس کے بھائی (کے معاملہ) کو مؤخر کر دو اور (مختلف) شہروں میں (جادوگروں کو) جمع کرنے والے افراد بھیج دو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while); and send to the cities men to collect-

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أرجه - "Postpone him| وأخاه - and his brother,| وأرسل - and send| في - in| المدائن - the cities| حاشرين - gatherers.| | ||||||
| 27. [7:113] | Wajaa alssaharatufirAAawna qaloo inna lana laajran in kunnanahnu alghalibeena | وجاء السحرة فرعون قالوا إن لنا لأجرا إن كنا نحن الغالبين وَجَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ قَالْواْ إِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جادوگر فرعون کے پاس آئے تو انہوں نے کہا: یقیناً ہمارے لئے کچھ اُجرت ہونی چاہیے بشرطیکہ ہم غالب آجائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So there came the sorcerers to Pharaoh: They said, "of course we shall have a (suitable) reward if we win!"

| Words | |وجاء - So came| السحرة - the magicians| فرعون - (to) Firaun.| قالوا - They said,| إن - "Indeed,| لنا - for us| لأجرا - surely (will be) a reward| إن - if| كنا - we are| نحن - [we]| الغالبين - the victors."| | ||||||
| 28. [7:114] | Qala naAAam wa-innakum laminaalmuqarrabeena | قال نعم وإنكم لمن المقربين قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرعون نے کہا: ہاں! اور بیشک (عام اُجرت تو کیا اس صورت میں) تم (میرے دربار کی) قربت والوں میں سے ہو جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "Yea, (and more),- for ye shall in that case be (raised to posts) nearest (to my person)."

| Words | |قال - He said,| نعم - "Yes,| وإنكم - and indeed you| لمن - surely (will be) of| المقربين - the ones who are near."| | ||||||
| 29. [7:115] | Qaloo ya moosa immaan tulqiya wa-imma an nakoona nahnu almulqeena | قالوا يا موسى إما أن تلقي وإما أن نكون نحن الملقين قَالُواْ يَا مُوسَى إِمَّا أَن تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا أَن نَّكُونَ نَحْنُ الْمُلْقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان جادوگروں نے کہا: اے موسٰی! یا تو (اپنی چیز) آپ ڈال دیں یا ہم ہی (پہلے) ڈالنے والے ہوجائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "O Moses! wilt thou throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw?"

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| موسى - "O Musa!| إما - Whether| أن - [that]| تلقي - you throw| وإما - or Whether| أن - [that]| نكون - we will be| نحن - [we]| الملقين - the ones to throw?"| | ||||||
| 30. [7:116] | Qala alqoo falamma alqaw saharooaAAyuna alnnasi waistarhaboohum wajaoobisihrin AAatheemin | قال ألقوا فلما ألقوا سحروا أعين الناس واسترهبوهم وجاءوا بسحر عظيم قَالَ أَلْقُوْاْ فَلَمَّا أَلْقَوْاْ سَحَرُواْ أَعْيُنَ النَّاسِ وَاسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْ وَجَاءُوا بِسِحْرٍ عَظِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: تم ہی (پہلے) ڈال دو پھر جب انہوں نے (اپنی رسیوں اور لاٹھیوں کو زمین پر) ڈالا (تو انہوں نے) لوگوں کی آنکھوں پرجادو کردیا اور انہیں ڈرا دیا اور وہ زبردست جادو (سامنے) لے آئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Said Moses: "Throw ye (first)." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them: for they showed a great (feat of) magic.
