Walaw anna ahla alqura amanoowaittaqaw lafatahna AAalayhim barakatinmina alssama-i waal-ardi walakinkaththaboo faakhathnahum bima kanooyaksiboona ولو أن أهل القرى آمنوا واتقوا لفتحنا عليهم بركات من السماء والأرض ولكن كذبوا فأخذناهم بما كانوا يكسبون
وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَى آمَنُواْ وَاتَّقَواْ لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَرَكَاتٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَـكِن كَذَّبُواْ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ

  اور اگر (ان) بستیوں کے باشندے ایمان لے آتے اور تقوٰی اختیار کرتے تو ہم ان پر آسمان اور زمین سے برکتیں کھول دیتے لیکن انہوں نے (حق کو) جھٹلایا، سو ہم نے انہیں ان اَعمالِ (بد) کے باعث جو وہ انجام دیتے تھے (عذاب کی) گرفت میں لے لیا

Yousuf AliIf the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.

Ahmed Aliاور اگر بستیوں والے ایمان لے آتے اور ڈرتے تو ہم ان پر آسمان اور زمین سے نعمتوں کے دروازے کھول دیتے لیکن انہوں نے جھٹلایا پھر ہم نے ان کے اعمال کے سبب سے گرفت کی

Shabbir Ahmed اور اگر کہیں بستیوں والے ایمان لاتے اور تقویٰ اختیار کرتے تو کھول دیتے ہم ان پر (دروازے) برکتوں کے آسمان سے اور زمین سے لیکن اُنہوں نے تو جھٹلایا۔ لہٰذا پکڑ لیا ہم نے اُن کو بسبب اُن (بُرائیوں) کے جو وہ کماتے رہے۔

Abul Ala Maududiاگر بستیوں کے لوگ ایمان لاتے اور تقویٰ کی روش اختیار کرتے تو ہم ان پر آسمان اور زمین سے برکتوں کے دروازے کھو ل دیتے، مگر اُنہوں نے تو جھٹلایا، لہٰذا ہم نے اُس بری کمائی کے حساب میں انہیں پکڑ لیا جو وہ سمیٹ رہے تھے

MalikHad the residents of the towns believed and feared Allah, We would have showered upon them riches from the heavens and the earth, but they disbelieved; so We seized them for their misdeeds.[96]

Khalifa**Had the people of those communities believed and turned righteous, we would have showered them with blessings from the heaven and the earth. Since they decided to disbelieve, we punished them for what they earned.
Hilali/Khan**And if the people of the towns had believed and had the Taqwa (piety), certainly, We should have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they belied (the Messengers). So We took them (with punishment) for what they used to earn (polytheism and crimes, etc.).
