Yahlifoona biAllahi maqaloo walaqad qaloo kalimata alkufri wakafaroobaAAda islamihim wahammoo bima lam yanaloowama naqamoo illa an aghnahumu Allahuwarasooluhu min fadlihi fa-in yatooboo yaku khayran lahumwa-in yatawallaw yuAAaththibhumu Allahu AAathabanaleeman fee alddunya waal-akhiratiwama lahum fee al-ardi min waliyyin wala naseerin يحلفون بالله ما قالوا ولقد قالوا كلمة الكفر وكفروا بعد إسلامهم وهموا بما لم ينالوا وما نقموا إلا أن أغناهم الله ورسوله من فضله فإن يتوبوا يك خيرا لهم وإن يتولوا يعذبهم الله عذابا أليما في الدنيا والآخرة وما لهم في الأرض من ولي ولا نصير
يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللّهِ مَا قَالُواْ وَلَقَدْ قَالُواْ كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُواْ بَعْدَ إِسْلاَمِهِمْ وَهَمُّواْ بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُواْ وَمَا نَقَمُواْ إِلاَّ أَنْ أَغْنَاهُمُ اللّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ فَإِن يَتُوبُواْ يَكُ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ

  (یہ منافقین) اللہ کی قَسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے (کچھ) نہیں کہا حالانکہ انہوں نے یقیناً کلمہ کفر کہا اور وہ اپنے اسلام (کو ظاہر کرنے) کے بعد کافر ہو گئے اور انہوں نے (کئی اذیت رساں باتوں کا) ارادہ (بھی) کیا تھا جنہیں وہ نہ پا سکے اور وہ (اسلام اور رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے عمل میں سے) اور کسی چیز کو ناپسند نہ کر سکے سوائے اس کے کہ انہیں اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنے فضل سے غنی کر دیا تھا، سو اگر یہ (اب بھی) توبہ کر لیں تو ان کے لئے بہتر ہے اور اگر (اسی طرح) روگرداں رہیں تو اللہ انہیں دنیا اور آخرت (دونوں زندگیوں) میں دردناک عذاب میں مبتلا فرمائے گا اور ان کے لئے زمین میں نہ کوئی دوست ہوگا اور نہ کوئی مددگار

Yousuf AliThey swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them.

Ahmed Aliالله کی قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ ہم نے نہیں کہا اوربے شک انہوں نے کفر کا کلمہ کہا ہے اورمسلمان ہونے کے بعد کافر ہوگئے اورانہوں نے قصد کیا تھا ایسی چیز کا جونہیں پا سکے اور یہ سب کچھ اسی کا بدلہ تھا کہ انہیں الله اور اس کے رسول نے اپنے فضل سے دولتمند کر دیا ہے سو اگر وہ توبہ کریں تو ان کے لیے بہتر ہے اور اگر وہ منہ پھیر لیں تو الله انہیں دنیا اور آخرت میں دردناک عذاب دے گا اور انہیں روئے زمین پر کوئی دوست اور کوئی مددگار نہیں ملے گا
Ahmed Raza Khanاللہ کی قسم کھاتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے نہ کہا اور بیشک ضرور انہوں نے کفر کی بات کہی اور اسلام میں آکر کافر ہوگئے اور وہ چاہا تھا جو انہیں نہ ملا اور انہیں کیا برا لگا یہی نہ کہ اللہ و رسول نے انہیں اپنے فضل سے غنی کردیا تو اگر وہ توبہ کریں تو ان کا بھلا ہے، اور اگر منہ پھیریں تو اللہ انہیں سخت عذاب کرے گا دنیا اور آخرت میں، اور زمین میں کوئی نہ ان کا حمایتی ہوگا اور نہ مددگار
Shabbir Ahmed قسم کھاتے ہیں یہ لوگ اللہ کی کہ نہیں کہی اُنہوں نے وہ (بات)۔ حالانکہ ضرور کہا ہے اُنہوں نے کلمہ کفر اور وہ کافر ہوگئے ہیں بعد اِسلام لانے کے اور قصد کیا اُنہوں نے وہ کچھ کرنے کا جسے وہ نہ کرسکے، اور نہیں بدلہ لیا اُنہوں نے مگر اس بات کا کہ غنی کردیا ہے اُن کو اللہ اور اُس کے رسُول نے اپنے فضل سے، پس اگر باز آجائیں یہ (اپنی روش سے) تو ہوگا بہتر اُن کے لیے اور اگر نہ مانیں گے تو سزا دے گا اُن کو اللہ درد ناک عذاب کی، دُنیا میں بھی اور آخرت میں بھی، اور نہ ہوگا اُن کا روئے زمین پر کوئی دوست اور نہ کوئی مدد گار۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyیہ خدا کی قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے (تو کچھ) نہیں کہا حالانکہ انہوں نے کفر کا کلمہ کہا ہے اور یہ اسلام لانے کے بعد کافر ہوگئے ہیں اور ایسی بات کا قصد کرچکے ہیں جس پر قدرت نہیں پاسکے۔ اور انہوں نے (مسلمانوں میں) عیب ہی کون سا دیکھا ہے سوا اس کے کہ خدا نے اپنے فضل سے اور اس کے پیغمبر نے (اپنی مہربانی سے) ان کو دولت مند کر دیا ہے۔ تو اگر یہ لوگ توبہ کرلیں تو ان کے حق میں بہتر ہوگا۔ اور اگر منہ پھیر لیں تو ان کو دنیا اور آخرت میں دکھ دینے والا عذاب دے گا اور زمین میں ان کا کوئی دوست اور مددگار نہ ہوگا

Abul Ala Maududiیہ لوگ خدا کی قسم کھا کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے وہ بات نہیں کہی، حالانکہ انہوں نے ضرور وہ کافرانہ بات کہی ہے وہ اسلام لانے کے بعد کفر کے مرتکب ہوئے اور انہوں نے وہ کچھ کرنے کا ارادہ کیا جسے کر نہ سکے یہ ان کا سارا غصہ اسی بات پر ہے نا کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے اپنے فضل سے ان کو غنی کر دیا ہے! اب اگر یہ اپنی اس روش سے باز آ جائیں تو انہی کے لیے بہتر ہے اور اگر یہ باز نہ آئے تو اللہ ان کو نہایت درد ناک سزا دے گا، دنیا میں بھی اور آخرت میں بھی، اور زمین میں کوئی نہیں جو اِن کا حمایتی اور مددگار ہو

LiteralThey swear/take oath by God, (that) they did not say, and (but) they had said the disbelief's word/expression ,and they disbelieved after their Islam/submission/surrender, and they got interested/resolved with what they did not take/receive/obtain, and they did not revenge/criticize except that God and His messenger enriched them from His grace , so if they repent (it will) be best for them, and if they turn away, God tortures them a painful torture in the present world and the end (other life), and in the earth/Planet Earth no guardian/ally and nor victorior/savior (be) for them .

SarwarThey (the hypocrites) swear by the Name of God (to make others believe in what they are saying). They have spoken the testimony of disbelief and have then turned back to disbelief. They have made unsuccessful attempts to cause trouble. There is no other reason for their ungratefulness except that God and His Messenger enriched them through their favors. If they repent, it will be better for them, but if they turn away (from the faith), God will make them suffer a painful punishment both in this life and in the life hereafter. They will find no guardian nor any helper in the land.

MalikThey swear by Allah that they said nothing when in fact they uttered the words of unbelief and they committed Kufr after accepting Islam. They meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out. They had no reason to be revengeful, except that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them through His bounty. Therefore, if they repent it will indeed be better for them; but if they turn back (do not repent) Allah will punish them with a painful punishment in this life and in the Hereafter, and they shall have none on earth to protect or help them.[74]

Hilali/Khan**They swear by Allah that they said nothing (bad), but really they said the word of disbelief, and they disbelieved after accepting Islam, and they resolved that (plot to murder Prophet Muhammad SAW) which they were unable to carry out, and they could not find any cause to do so except that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His Bounty. If then they repent, it will be better for them, but if they turn away, Allah will punish them with a painful torment in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. And there is none for them on earth as a Walee (supporter, protector) or a helper.
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**(The hypocrites) swear by Allah that they have said nothing wrong. Yet they most certainly have uttered a word of disbelief (9:61-62). And have denied the Truth after professing their surrender to Allah. They were aiming at something beyond their reach (attaining inner peace without sincerity to the Divine Guidance). And they could find no fault in the Divine System except that Allah has enriched them and caused His Messenger to enrich them out of His Bounty. Hence, it will be good for them if they repent and correct themselves. But if they still turn away, Allah will cause them to suffer grievous retribution in this world and in the life to come. And they will have no protector or helper in the earth.
