| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [9:70] | Alam ya/tihim nabao allatheena minqablihim qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waqawmiibraheema waas-habi madyana waalmu/tafikatiatat-hum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kanaAllahu liyathlimahum walakin kanooanfusahum yathlimoona |  ألم يأتهم نبأ الذين من قبلهم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود وقوم إبراهيم وأصحاب مدين والمؤتفكات أتتهم رسلهم بالبينات فما كان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمونأَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَـكِن كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ان کے پاس ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو ان سے پہلے تھے، قومِ نوح اور عاد اور ثمود اور قومِ ابراہیم اور باشندگانِ مدین اور ان بستیوں کے مکین جو الٹ دی گئیں، ان کے پاس (بھی) ان کے رسول واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے تھے (مگر انہوں نے نافرمانی کی) پس اللہ تو ایسا نہ تھا کہ ان پر ظلم کرتا لیکن وہ (انکارِ حق کے باعث) اپنے اوپر خود ہی ظلم کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Hath not the story reached them of those before them?- the People of Noah, and 'Ad, and Thamud; the People of Abraham, the men of Midian, and the cities overthrown. To them came their messengers with clear signs. It is not Allah Who wrongs them, but they wrong their own souls.

[25:37] | Waqawma noohin lamma kaththabooalrrusula aghraqnahum wajaAAalnahum lilnnasiayatan waaAAtadna lilththalimeenaAAathaban aleeman | وقوم نوح لما كذبوا الرسل أغرقناهم وجعلناهم للناس آية وأعتدنا للظالمين عذابا أليما وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ آيَةً وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوح (علیہ السلام) کی قوم کو (بھی)، جب انہوں نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا (تو) ہم نے انہیں غرق کر ڈالا اور ہم نے انہیں (دوسرے) لوگوں کے لئے نشانِ عبرت بنا دیا اور ہم نے ظالموں کے لئے درد ناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the people of Noah,- when they rejected the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a Sign for mankind; and We have prepared for (all) wrong-doers a grievous Penalty;-

| 4. [38:13] | Wathamoodu waqawmu lootin waas-habual-aykati ola-ika al-ahzabu | وثمود وقوم لوط وأصحاب الأيكة أولئك الأحزاب وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ أُوْلَئِكَ الْأَحْزَابُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ثمود نے اور قومِ لوط نے اور اَیکہ (بَن) کے رہنے والوں نے (یعنی قومِ شعیب نے) بھی (جھٹلایا تھا)، یہی وہ بڑے لشکر تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates.

| 5. [50:14] | Waas-habu al-aykati waqawmutubbaAAin kullun kaththaba alrrusula fahaqqawaAAeedi | وأصحاب الأيكة وقوم تبع كل كذب الرسل فحق وعيد وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (مَدیَن کے گھنے درختوں والے بَن) اَیکہ کے رہنے والوں نے (یہ قومِ شعیب تھی) اور (بادشاہِ یَمن اسعَد ابوکریب) تُبّع (الحِمیَری) کی قوم نے، (الغرض اِن) سب نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا، پس (اِن پر) میرا وعدۂ عذاب ثابت ہو کر رہا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them).

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس سے پہلے نُوح (علیہ السلام) کی قوم کو (بھی ہلاک کیا)، بیشک وہ سخت نافرمان لوگ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس سے پہلے قومِ نوح کو (بھی ہلاک کیا)، بیشک وہ بڑے ہی ظالم اور بڑے ہی سرکش تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors,
