| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[47:18] | Fahal yanthuroona illaalssaAAata an ta/tiyahum baghtatan faqad jaaashratuha faanna lahum itha jaat-humthikrahum |  فهل ينظرون إلا الساعة أن تأتيهم بغتة فقد جاء أشراطها فأنى لهم إذا جاءتهم ذكراهمفَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً فَقَدْ جَاءَ أَشْرَاطُهَا فَأَنَّى لَهُمْ إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ ذِكْرَاهُمْ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | تو اب یہ (منکر) لوگ صرف قیامت ہی کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں کہ وہ ان پر اچانک آپہنچے؟ سو واقعی اس کی نشانیاں (قریب) آپہنچی ہیں، پھر انہیں ان کی نصیحت کہاں (مفید) ہوگی جب (خود) قیامت (ہی) آپہنچے گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do they then only wait for the Hour,- that it should come on them of a sudden? But already have come some tokens thereof, and when it (actually) is on them, how can they benefit then by their admonition?

| Yousuf Ali | Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter.
