| 3. [44:3] | Inna anzalnahu fee laylatin mubarakatininna kunna munthireena | إنا أنزلناه في ليلة مباركة إنا كنا منذرين إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ہم نے اسے ایک بابرکت رات میں اتارا ہے بیشک ہم ڈر سنانے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We sent it down during a Blessed Night: for We (ever) wish to warn (against Evil).

| Yousuf Ali | In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom,

| 5. [44:5] | Amran min AAindina inna kunnamursileena | أمرا من عندنا إنا كنا مرسلين أَمْرًا مِّنْ عِندِنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہماری بارگاہ کے حکم سے، بیشک ہم ہی بھیجنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | By command, from Our Presence. For We (ever) send (revelations),

| 6. [44:6] | Rahmatan min rabbika innahu huwa alssameeAAualAAaleemu | رحمة من ربك إنه هو السميع العليم رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (یہ) آپ کے رب کی جانب سے رحمت ہے، بیشک وہ خوب سننے والا خوب جاننے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As Mercy from thy Lord: for He hears and knows (all things);

| Words | |رحمة - As Mercy| من - from| ربك - your Lord.| إنه - Indeed, He| هو - [He]| السميع - (is) the All-Hearer,| العليم - the All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 7. [44:26] | WazurooAAin wamaqamin kareemin | وزروع ومقام كريم وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور زراعتیں اور عالی شان عمارتیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And corn-fields and noble buildings,
| ||||||
| Words | |وزروع - And cornfields| ومقام - and places| كريم - noble,| | ||||||
| 8. [44:27] | WanaAAmatin kanoo feeha fakiheena | ونعمة كانوا فيها فاكهين وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُوا فِيهَا فَاكِهِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نعمتیں (اور راحتیں) جن میں وہ عیش کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And wealth (and conveniences of life), wherein they had taken such delight!
| ||||||
| Words | |ونعمة - And pleasant things| كانوا - they used to| فيها - therein| فاكهين - take delight!| | ||||||
| 9. [44:28] | Kathalika waawrathnahaqawman akhareena | كذلك وأورثناها قوما آخرين كَذَلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اسی طرح ہوا، اور ہم نے اِن سب کا دوسرے لوگوں کو وارث بنا دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Thus (was their end)! And We made other people inherit (those things)!
| ||||||
| Words | |كذلك - Thus.| وأورثناها - And We made it (an) inherit(ance)| قوما - (for) a people| آخرين - another.| | ||||||
| 10. [44:7] | Rabbi alssamawati waal-ardiwama baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena | رب السماوات والأرض وما بينهما إن كنتم موقنين رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | آسمانوں اور زمین کا اور جو کچھ اِن کے درمیان ہے (اُس کا) پروردگار ہے، بشرطیکہ تم یقین رکھنے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all between them, if ye (but) have an assured faith.

| Words | |رب - Lord| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| وما - and whatever| بينهما - (is) between both of them,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| موقنين - certain.| | ||||||
| 11. [44:8] | La ilaha illa huwa yuhyeewayumeetu rabbukum warabbu aba-ikumu al-awwaleena | لا إله إلا هو يحيي ويميت ربكم ورب آبائكم الأولين لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اُس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہی زندگی دیتا اور موت دیتا ہے (وہ) تمہارا (بھی) رب ہے اور تمہارے اگلے آباء و اجداد کا (بھی) رب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | There is no god but He: It is He Who gives life and gives death,- The Lord and Cherisher to you and your earliest ancestors.

| Words | |لا - (There is) no| إله - god| إلا - except| هو - Him;| يحيي - He gives life| ويميت - and causes death,| ربكم - your Lord| ورب - and (the) Lord| آبائكم - (of) your fathers| الأولين - the former.| | ||||||
| 12. [44:9] | Bal hum fee shakkin yalAAaboona | بل هم في شك يلعبون بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ يَلْعَبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بلکہ وہ شک میں پڑے کھیل رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Yet they play about in doubt.

| Words | |بل - Nay,| هم - they| في - (are) in| شك - doubt -| يلعبون - playing.| | ||||||
| 13. [44:10] | Fairtaqib yawma ta/tee alssamaobidukhanin mubeenin | فارتقب يوم تأتي السماء بدخان مبين فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو آپ اُس دن کا انتظار کریں جب آسمان واضح دھواں ظاہر کر دے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then watch thou for the Day that the sky will bring forth a kind of smoke (or mist) plainly visible,

| Words | |فارتقب - Then watch| يوم - (for the) Day| تأتي - (when) will bring| السماء - the sky| بدخان - smoke| مبين - visible,| | ||||||
| 14. [44:34] | Inna haola-i layaqooloona | إن هؤلاء ليقولون إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ لَيَقُولُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک وہ لوگ کہتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth:

| 15. [44:43] | Inna shajarata alzzaqqoomi | إن شجرت الزقوم إِنَّ شَجَرَةَ الزَّقُّومِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک کانٹے دار پھل کا درخت | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily the tree of Zaqqum

| 16. [44:44] | TaAAamu al-atheemi | طعام الأثيم طَعَامُ الْأَثِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بڑے نافرمانوں کا کھانا ہوگا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Will be the food of the Sinful,-
| ||||||
| Words | |طعام - (Will be) food| الأثيم - (of) the sinner(s).| | ||||||
| 17. [44:45] | Kaalmuhli yaghlee fee albutooni | كالمهل يغلي في البطون كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پگھلے ہوئے تانبے کی طرح وہ پیٹوں میں کَھولے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides.
| ||||||
| Words | |كالمهل - Like the murky oil,| يغلي - it will boil| في - in| البطون - the bellies,| | ||||||
| 18. [44:11] | Yaghsha alnnasa hathaAAathabun aleemun | يغشى الناس هذا عذاب أليم يَغْشَى النَّاسَ هَذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو لوگوں کو ڈھانپ لے گا (یعنی ہر طرف محیط ہو جائے گا)، یہ دردناک عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Enveloping the people: this will be a Penalty Grievous.
| ||||||
| Words | |يغشى - Enveloping| الناس - the people.| هذا - This| عذاب - (will be) a punishment| أليم - painful.| | ||||||
| 19. [44:12] | Rabbana ikshif AAanna alAAathabainna mu/minoona | ربنا اكشف عنا العذاب إنا مؤمنون رَبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اس وقت کہیں گے:) اے ہمارے رب! تو ہم سے (اس) عذاب کو دور کر دے، بیشک ہم ایمان لاتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (They will say:) "Our Lord! remove the Penalty from us, for we do really believe!"
| ||||||
| Words | |ربنا - "Our Lord!| اكشف - Remove| عنا - from us| العذاب - the punishment;| إنا - indeed, we| مؤمنون - (are) believers."| | ||||||
| 20. [44:13] | Anna lahumu alththikrawaqad jaahum rasoolun mubeenun | أنى لهم الذكرى وقد جاءهم رسول مبين أَنَّى لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَى وَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اب اُن کا نصیحت ماننا کہاں (مفید) ہو سکتا ہے حالانکہ ان کے پاس واضح بیان فرمانے والے رسول آچکے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | How shall the message be (effectual) for them, seeing that an Messenger explaining things clearly has (already) come to them,-

| Words | |أنى - How can| لهم - (there be) for them| الذكرى - the reminder,| وقد - when verily,| جاءهم - had come to them| رسول - a Messenger| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 21. [44:14] | Thumma tawallaw AAanhu waqaloomuAAallamun majnoonun | ثم تولوا عنه وقالوا معلم مجنون ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر انہوں نے اس سے منہ پھیر لیا اور (گستاخی کرتے ہوئے) کہنے لگے: (وہ) سکھایا ہوا دیوانہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Yet they turn away from him and say: "Tutored (by others), a man possessed!"
| ||||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| تولوا - they turned away| عنه - from him| وقالوا - and said,| معلم - "One taught,| مجنون - a mad man."| | ||||||
| 22. [44:15] | Inna kashifoo alAAathabiqaleelan innakum AAa-idoona | إنا كاشفو العذاب قليلا إنكم عائدون إِنَّا كَاشِفُوا الْعَذَابِ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُمْ عَائِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ہم تھوڑا سا عذاب دور کئے دیتے ہیں تم یقیناً (وہی کفر) دہرانے لگو گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We shall indeed remove the Penalty for a while, (but) truly ye will revert (to your ways).

| Words | |إنا - Indeed, We| كاشفو - (will) remove| العذاب - the punishment| قليلا - a little,| إنكم - indeed, you| عائدون - (will) return.| | ||||||
| 23. [44:46] | Kaghalyi alhameemi | كغلي الحميم كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کھولتے ہوئے پانی کے جوش کی مانند | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Like the boiling of scalding water.
| ||||||

| 24. [44:52] | Fee jannatin waAAuyoonin | في جنات وعيون فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | Among Gardens and Springs;

| 25. [44:59] | Fairtaqib innahum murtaqiboona | فارتقب إنهم مرتقبون فَارْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُم مُّرْتَقِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو آپ (بھی) انتظار فرمائیں، یقیناً وہ (بھی) انتظار کر رہے ہیں (آپ اُن کا حشر و انتقام دیکھیں گے اور وہ آپ کی شان اور آپ کے تصدّق سے مومنوں پر میرا انعام دیکھیں گے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So wait thou and watch; for they (too) are waiting.

| Words | |فارتقب - So watch;| إنهم - indeed, they| مرتقبون - (too are) watching.| | ||||||
| 26. [44:16] | Yawma nabtishu albatshataalkubra inna muntaqimoona | يوم نبطش البطشة الكبرى إنا منتقمون يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ الْبَطْشَةَ الْكُبْرَى إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس دن ہم بڑی سخت گرفت کریں گے تو (اس دن) ہم یقیناً انتقام لے ہی لیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | One day We shall seize you with a mighty onslaught: We will indeed (then) exact Retribution!

| Words | |يوم - (The) Day| نبطش - We will seize| البطشة - (with) the seizure| الكبرى - the greatest,| إنا - indeed, We| منتقمون - (will) take retribution.| | ||||||
| 27. [44:17] | Walaqad fatanna qablahum qawmafirAAawna wajaahum rasoolun kareemun | ولقد فتنا قبلهم قوم فرعون وجاءهم رسول كريم وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور در حقیقت ہم نے اِن سے پہلے قومِ فرعون کی (بھی) آزمائش کی تھی اور اُن کے پاس بزرگی والے رسول (موسٰی علیہ السلام) آئے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We did, before them, try the people of Pharaoh: there came to them a messenger most honourable,

| Words | |ولقد - And certainly,| فتنا - We tried| قبلهم - before them| قوم - (the) people| فرعون - (of) Firaun,| وجاءهم - and came to them| رسول - a Messenger| كريم - noble.| | ||||||
| 28. [44:18] | An addoo ilayya AAibada Allahiinnee lakum rasoolun ameenun | أن أدوا إلي عباد الله إني لكم رسول أمين أَنْ أَدُّوا إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (انہوں نے کہا تھا) کہ تم بندگانِ خدا (یعنی بنی اسرائیل) کو میرے حوالے کر دو، بیشک میں تمہاری قیادت و رہبری کے لئے امانت دار رسول ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Saying: "Restore to me the Servants of Allah: I am to you an messenger worthy of all trust;

| Words | |أن - That,| أدوا - "Deliver| إلي - to me| عباد - (the) servants| الله - (of) Allah.| إني - Indeed, I am| لكم - to you| رسول - a Messenger| أمين - trustworthy.| | ||||||
| 29. [44:19] | Waan la taAAloo AAala Allahiinnee ateekum bisultanin mubeenin | وأن لا تعلوا على الله إني آتيكم بسلطان مبين وَأَنْ لَّا تَعْلُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنِّي آتِيكُم بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ اللہ کے مقابلے میں سرکشی نہ کرو، میں تمہارے پاس روشن دلیل لے کر آیا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And be not arrogant as against Allah: for I come to you with authority manifest.
| ||||||
| Words | |وأن - And that| لا - (do) not| تعلوا - exalt yourselves| على - against| الله - Allah.| إني - Indeed, I| آتيكم - [I] have come to you| بسلطان - with an authority| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 30. [44:20] | Wa-innee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikuman tarjumooni | وإني عذت بربي وربكم أن ترجمون وَإِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ أَن تَرْجُمُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک میں نے اپنے رب اور تمہارے رب کی پناہ لے لی ہے اس سے کہ تم مجھے سنگ سار کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "For me, I have sought safety with my Lord and your Lord, against your injuring me.
| ||||||
| Words | |وإني - And indeed, I| عذت - [I] seek refuge| بربي - with my Lord| وربكم - and your Lord| أن - lest| ترجمون - you stone me.| | ||||||
