| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [2:120] | Walan tarda AAanka alyahoodu walaalnnasara hatta tattabiAAamillatahum qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhudawala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda allathee jaakamina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi min waliyyin walanaseerin |  ولن ترضى عنك اليهود ولا النصارى حتى تتبع ملتهم قل إن هدى الله هو الهدى ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعد الذي جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا نصيروَلَن تَرْضَى عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلاَ النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہود و نصارٰی آپ سے (اس وقت تک) ہرگز خوش نہیں ہوں گے جب تک آپ ان کے مذہب کی پیروی اختیار نہ کر لیں، آپ فرما دیں کہ بیشک اللہ کی (عطا کردہ) ہدایت ہی (حقیقی) ہدایت ہے، (امت کی تعلیم کے لئے فرمایا:) اور اگر (بفرضِ محال) آپ نے اس علم کے بعد جو آپ کے پاس (اللہ کی طرف سے) آچکا ہے، ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی کی تو آپ کے لئے اللہ سے بچانے والا نہ کوئی دوست ہوگا اور نہ کوئی مددگار | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless thou follow their form of religion. Say: "The Guidance of Allah,-that is the (only) Guidance." Wert thou to follow their desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither Protector nor helper against Allah.

[2:145] | Wala-in atayta allatheena ootooalkitaba bikulli ayatin ma tabiAAooqiblataka wama anta bitabiAAin qiblatahum wamabaAAduhum bitabiAAin qiblata baAAdinwala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum min baAAdi ma jaakamina alAAilmi innaka ithan lamina alththalimeena | ولئن أتيت الذين أوتوا الكتاب بكل آية ما تبعوا قبلتك وما أنت بتابع قبلتهم وما بعضهم بتابع قبلة بعض ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم من بعد ما جاءك من العلم إنك إذا لمن الظالمين وَلَئِنْ أَتَيْتَ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مَّا تَبِعُواْ قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُم بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذاً لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اوراگر آپ اہلِ کتاب کے پاس ہر ایک نشانی (بھی) لے آئیں تب بھی وہ آپ کے قبلہ کی پیروی نہیں کریں گے اور نہ آپ ہی ان کے قبلہ کی پیروی کرنے والے ہیں اور وہ آپس میں بھی ایک دوسرے کے قبلہ کی پیروی نہیں کرتے، (امت کی تعلیم کے لئے فرمایا:) اور اگر (بفرضِ محال) آپ نے (بھی) اپنے پاس علم آجانے کے بعد ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی کی تو بیشک آپ (اپنی جان پر) زیادتی کرنے والوں میں سے ہو جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Even if thou wert to bring to the people of the Book all the Signs (together), they would not follow Thy Qibla; nor art thou going to follow their Qibla; nor indeed will they follow each other's Qibla. If thou after the knowledge hath reached thee, Wert to follow their (vain) desires,-then wert thou Indeed (clearly) in the wrong.

[13:37] | Wakathalika anzalnahu hukmanAAarabiyyan wala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda majaaka mina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi minwaliyyin wala waqin | وكذلك أنزلناه حكما عربيا ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعدما جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا واق وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّا وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ وَاقٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسی طرح ہم نے اس (قرآن) کو حکم بنا کر عربی زبان میں اتارا ہے، اور (اے سننے والے!) اگر تو نے ان (کافروں) کی خواہشات کی پیروی کی اس کے بعد کہ تیرے پاس (قطعی) علم آچکا ہے تو تیرے لئے اﷲ کے مقابلہ میں نہ کوئی مددگار ہوگا اور نہ کوئی محافظ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Thus have We revealed it to be a judgment of authority in Arabic. Wert thou to follow their (vain) desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither protector nor defender against Allah.
