| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:124] | Wa-ithi ibtala ibraheemarabbuhu bikalimatin faatammahunna qala innee jaAAilukalilnnasi imaman qala wamin thurriyyateeqala la yanalu AAahdee alththalimeena |  وإذ ابتلى إبراهيم ربه بكلمات فأتمهن قال إني جاعلك للناس إماما قال ومن ذريتي قال لا ينال عهدي الظالمينوَإِذِ ابْتَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي قَالَ لاَ يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: "I will make thee an Imam to the Nations." He pleaded: "And also (Imams) from my offspring!" He answered: "But My Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers."

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (دوسری مثال) عمران کی بیٹی مریم کی (بیان فرمائی ہے) جس نے اپنی عصمت و عفّت کی خوب حفاظت کی تو ہم نے (اس کے) گریبان میں اپنی روح پھونک دی اور اس نے اپنے رب کے فرامین اور اس کی (نازل کردہ) کتابوں کی تصدیق کی اور وہ اطاعت گزاروں میں سے تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Mary the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations, and was one of the devout (servants).
