| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [3:156] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola takoonoo kaallatheena kafaroo waqalooli-ikhwanihim itha daraboo fee al-ardiaw kanoo ghuzzan law kanoo AAindana mamatoo wama qutiloo liyajAAala Allahu thalikahasratan fee quloobihim waAllahu yuhyeewayumeetu waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تكونوا كالذين كفروا وقالوا لإخوانهم إذا ضربوا في الأرض أو كانوا غزى لو كانوا عندنا ما ماتوا وما قتلوا ليجعل الله ذلك حسرة في قلوبهم والله يحيي ويميت والله بما تعملون بصيريَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقَالُواْ لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُواْ غُزًّى لَّوْ كَانُواْ عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُواْ وَمَا قُتِلُواْ لِيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ ذَلِكَ حَسْرَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللّهُ يُحْيِـي وَيُمِيتُ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! تم ان کافروں کی طرح نہ ہو جاؤ جو اپنے ان بھائیوں کے بارے میں یہ کہتے ہیں جو (کہیں) سفر پر گئے ہوں یا جہاد کر رہے ہوں (اور وہاں مر جائیں) کہ اگر وہ ہمارے پاس ہوتے تو نہ مرتے اور نہ قتل کئے جاتے، تاکہ اللہ اس (گمان) کو ان کے دلوں میں حسرت بنائے رکھے، اور اللہ ہی زندہ رکھتا اور مارتا ہے، اور اللہ تمہارے اعمال خوب دیکھ رہا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye who believe! Be not like the Unbelievers, who say of their brethren, when they are travelling through the Earth or engaged in fighting: "If they had stayed with us, they would not have died, or been slain." This that Allah may make it a cause of sighs and regrets in their hearts. It is Allah that gives Life and Death, and Allah sees well all that ye do.

| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیب!) دیکھئے (یہ لوگ) آپ کے لئے کیسی (کیسی) تشبیہیں دیتے ہیں پس یہ گمراہ ہو چکے، اب راہِ راست پر نہیں آسکتے | ||||||
