| Yousuf Ali | Praise be Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet those who reject Faith hold (others) as equal, with their Guardian-Lord.

[13:16] | Qul man rabbu alssamawatiwaal-ardi quli Allahu qul afaittakhathtummin doonihi awliyaa la yamlikoona li-anfusihimnafAAan wala darran qul hal yastawee al-aAAmawaalbaseeru am hal tastawee alththulumatuwaalnnooru am jaAAaloo lillahi shurakaakhalaqoo kakhalqihi fatashabaha alkhalqu AAalayhim quliAllahu khaliqu kulli shay-in wahuwa alwahidualqahharu | قل من رب السماوات والأرض قل الله قل أفاتخذتم من دونه أولياء لا يملكون لأنفسهم نفعا ولا ضرا قل هل يستوي الأعمى والبصير أم هل تستوي الظلمات والنور أم جعلوا لله شركاء خلقوا كخلقه فتشابه الخلق عليهم قل الله خالق كل شيء وهو الواحد القهار قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قُلِ اللّهُ قُلْ أَفَاتَّخَذْتُم مِّن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ لاَ يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ نَفْعًا وَلاَ ضَرًّا قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَى وَالْبَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِي الظُّلُمَاتُ وَالنُّورُ أَمْ جَعَلُواْ لِلّهِ شُرَكَاءَ خَلَقُواْ كَخَلْقِهِ فَتَشَابَهَ الْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ قُلِ اللّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ان کافروں کے سامنے) فرمایئے کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کا رب کون ہے؟ آپ (خود ہی) فرما دیجئے: اﷲ ہے۔ (پھر) آپ (ان سے دریافت) فرمایئے: کیا تم نے اس کے سوا (ان بتوں) کو کارساز بنا لیا ہے جو نہ اپنی ذاتوں کے لئے کسی نفع کے مالک ہیں اور نہ کسی نقصان کے۔ آپ فرما دیجئے: کیا اندھا اور بینا برابر ہو سکتے ہیں یا کیا تاریکیاں اور روشنی برابر ہو سکتی ہیں۔ کیا انہوں نے اﷲ کے لئے ایسے شریک بنائے ہیں جنہوں نے اﷲ کی مخلوق کی طرح (کچھ مخلوق) خود (بھی) پیدا کی ہو، سو (ان بتوں کی پیدا کردہ) اس مخلوق سے ان کو تشابُہ (یعنی مغالطہ) ہو گیا ہو، فرما دیجئے: اﷲ ہی ہر چیز کا خالق ہے اور وہ ایک ہے، وہ سب پر غالب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible."

| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم اللہ اور اُس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پر اور اُس نور پر ایمان لاؤ جسے ہم نے نازل فرمایا ہے، اور اللہ اُن کاموں سے خوب آگاہ ہے جو تم کرتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Believe, therefore, in Allah and His Messenger, and in the Light which we have sent down. And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.
