| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [3:178] | Wala yahsabanna allatheenakafaroo annama numlee lahum khayrun li-anfusihim innamanumlee lahum liyazdadoo ithman walahum AAathabunmuheenun |  ولا يحسبن الذين كفروا أنما نملي لهم خير لأنفسهم إنما نملي لهم ليزدادوا إثما ولهم عذاب مهينوَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لِّأَنفُسِهِمْ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُواْ إِثْمًا وَلَهْمُ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کافر یہ گمان ہرگز نہ کریں کہ ہم جو انہیں مہلت دے رہے ہیں (یہ) ان کی جانوں کے لئے بہتر ہے، ہم تو (یہ) مہلت انہیں صرف اس لئے دے رہے ہیں کہ وہ گناہ میں اور بڑھ جائیں، اور ان کے لئے (بالآخر) ذلّت انگیز عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let not the Unbelievers think that our respite to them is good for themselves: We grant them respite that they may grow in their iniquity: But they will have a shameful punishment.

[3:180] | Wala yahsabanna allatheenayabkhaloona bima atahummu Allahu minfadlihi huwa khayran lahum bal huwa sharrun lahum sayutawwaqoonama bakhiloo bihi yawma alqiyamati walillahimeerathu alssamawati waal-ardiwaAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun | ولا يحسبن الذين يبخلون بما آتاهم الله من فضله هو خيرا لهم بل هو شر لهم سيطوقون ما بخلوا به يوم القيامة ولله ميراث السماوات والأرض والله بما تعملون خبير وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ لَّهُمْ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُواْ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلِلّهِ مِيرَاثُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ اس (مال و دولت) میں سے دینے میں بخل کرتے ہیں جو اللہ نے انہیں اپنے فضل سے عطا کیا ہے وہ ہرگز اس بخل کو اپنے حق میں بہتر خیال نہ کریں، بلکہ یہ ان کے حق میں برا ہے، عنقریب روزِ قیامت انہیں (گلے میں) اس مال کا طوق پہنایا جائے گا جس میں وہ بخل کرتے رہے ہوں گے، اور اللہ ہی آسمانوں اور زمین کا وارث ہے (یعنی جیسے اب مالک ہے ایسے ہی تمہارے سب کے مر جانے کے بعد بھی وہی مالک رہے گا)، اور اللہ تمہارے سب کاموں سے آگاہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And let not those who covetously withhold of the gifts which Allah Hath given them of His Grace, think that it is good for them: Nay, it will be the worse for them: soon shall the things which they covetously withheld be tied to their necks Like a twisted collar, on the Day of Judgment. To Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کافر لوگ اس گمان میں ہرگز نہ رہیں کہ وہ (بچ کر) نکل گئے۔ بیشک وہ (ہمیں) عاجز نہیں کر سکتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let not the unbelievers think that they can get the better (of the godly): they will never frustrate (them).
