| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [21:63] | Qala bal faAAalahu kabeeruhum hathafais-aloohum in kanoo yantiqoona |  قال بل فعله كبيرهم هذا فاسألوهم إن كانوا ينطقونقَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا فَاسْأَلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا يَنطِقُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ نے فرمایا: بلکہ یہ (کام) ان کے اس بڑے (بت) نے کیا ہوگا تو ان (بتوں) سے ہی پوچھو اگر وہ بول سکتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "Nay, this was done by - this is their biggest one! ask them, if they can speak intelligently!"

| 2. [21:65] | Thumma nukisoo AAala ruoosihim laqadAAalimta ma haola-i yantiqoona | ثم نكسوا على رءوسهم لقد علمت ما هؤلاء ينطقون ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَؤُلَاءِ يَنطِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر وہ اپنے سروں کے بل اوندھے کر دیئے گئے (یعنی ان کی عقلیں اوندھی ہوگئیں اور کہنے لگے:) بیشک (اے ابراہیم!) تم خود ہی جانتے ہو کہ یہ تو بولتے نہیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then were they confounded with shame: (they said), "Thou knowest full well that these (idols) do not speak!"

| 3. [23:62] | Wala nukallifu nafsan illawusAAaha waladayna kitabun yantiqu bialhaqqiwahum la yuthlamoona | ولا نكلف نفسا إلا وسعها ولدينا كتاب ينطق بالحق وهم لا يظلمون وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم کسی جان کو تکلیف نہیں دیتے مگر اس کی استعداد کے مطابق اور ہمارے پاس نوشتۂ (اَعمال موجود) ہے جو سچ سچ کہہ دے گا اور ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا جائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged.

[27:16] | Wawaritha sulaymanu dawoodawaqala ya ayyuha alnnasuAAullimna mantiqa alttayri waooteenamin kulli shay-in inna hatha lahuwa alfadlualmubeenu | وورث سليمان داوود وقال يا أيها الناس علمنا منطق الطير وأوتينا من كل شيء إن هذا لهو الفضل المبين وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَانُ دَاوُودَ وَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِينُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور سلیمان (علیہ السلام)، داؤد (علیہ السلام) کے جانشین ہوئے اور انہوں نے کہا: اے لوگو! ہمیں پرندوں کی بولی (بھی) سکھائی گئی ہے اور ہمیں ہر چیز عطا کی گئی ہے۔ بیشک یہ (اللہ کا) واضح فضل ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)"

| 5. [27:85] | WawaqaAAa alqawlu AAalayhim bima thalamoofahum la yantiqoona | ووقع القول عليهم بما ظلموا فهم لا ينطقون وَوَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُوا فَهُمْ لَا يَنطِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان پر (ہمارا) وعدہ پورا ہوچکا اس وجہ سے کہ وہ ظلم کر تے رہے سو وہ (جواب میں) کچھ بول نہ سکیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the Word will be fulfilled against them, because of their wrong-doing, and they will be unable to speak (in plea).

| Yousuf Ali | "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?"

[41:21] | Waqaloo lijuloodihim lima shahidtumAAalayna qaloo antaqana Allahuallathee antaqa kulla shay-in wahuwa khalaqakumawwala marratin wa-ilayhi turjaAAoona | وقالوا لجلودهم لم شهدتم علينا قالوا أنطقنا الله الذي أنطق كل شيء وهو خلقكم أول مرة وإليه ترجعون وَقَالُوا لِجُلُودِهِمْ لِمَ شَهِدتُّمْ عَلَيْنَا قَالُوا أَنطَقَنَا اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنطَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ خَلَقَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر وہ لوگ اپنی کھالوں سے کہیں گے: تم نے ہمارے خلاف کیوں گواہی دی، وہ کہیں گی: ہمیں اُس اﷲ نے گویائی عطا کی جو ہر چیز کو قوتِ گویائی دیتا ہے اور اسی نے تمہیں پہلی بار پیدا فرمایا ہے اور تم اسی کی طرف پلٹائے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They will say to their skins: "Why bear ye witness against us?" They will say: "Allah hath given us speech,- (He) Who giveth speech to everything: He created you for the first time, and unto Him were ye to return.

| 8. [45:29] | Hatha kitabuna yantiquAAalaykum bialhaqqi inna kunnanastansikhu ma kuntum taAAmaloona | هذا كتابنا ينطق عليكم بالحق إنا كنا نستنسخ ما كنتم تعملون هَذَا كِتَابُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِالْحَقِّ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ ہمارا نوشتہ ہے جو تمہارے بارے میں سچ سچ بیان کرے گا، بیشک ہم وہ سب کچھ لکھوا (کر محفوظ کر) لیا کرتے تھے جو تم کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "This Our Record speaks about you with truth: For We were wont to put on Record all that ye did."

| 9. [51:23] | Fawarabbi alssama-i waal-ardiinnahu lahaqqun mithla ma annakum tantiqoona | فورب السماء والأرض إنه لحق مثل ما أنكم تنطقون فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس آسمان اور زمین کے مالک کی قَسم! یہ (ہمارا وعدہ) اسی طرح یقینی ہے جس طرح تمہارا اپنا بولنا (تمہیں اس پر کامل یقین ہوتا ہے کہ منہ سے کیا کہہ رہے ہو) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other.

| Yousuf Ali | Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire.

| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ ایسا دن ہے کہ وہ (اس میں) بول بھی نہ سکیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak.
