[9:9] | Ishtaraw bi-ayati Allahithamanan qaleelan fasaddoo AAan sabeelihi innahum saama kanoo yaAAmaloona |  اشتروا بآيات الله ثمنا قليلا فصدوا عن سبيله إنهم ساء ما كانوا يعملوناشْتَرَوْاْ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلاً فَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِهِ إِنَّهُمْ سَاءَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے آیاتِ الٰہی کے بدلے (دنیوی مفاد کی) تھوڑی سی قیمت حاصل کر لی پھر اس (کے دین) کی راہ سے (لوگوں کو) روکنے لگے، بیشک بہت ہی برا کام ہے جو وہ کرتے رہتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Signs of Allah have they sold for a miserable price, and (many) have they hindered from His way: evil indeed are the deeds they have done.

| 2. [58:16] | Ittakhathoo aymanahum junnatanfasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi falahum AAathabunmuheenun | اتخذوا أيمانهم جنة فصدوا عن سبيل الله فلهم عذاب مهين اتَّخَذُوا أَيْمَانَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے اپنی (جھوٹی) قَسموں کو ڈھال بنا لیا ہے سو وہ (دوسروں کو) راہِ خدا سے روکتے ہیں، پس اُن کے لئے ذِلّت انگیز عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: therefore shall they have a humiliating Penalty.
