| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:137] | Wakathalika zayyana likatheerin minaalmushrikeena qatla awladihim shurakaohumliyurdoohum waliyalbisoo AAalayhim deenahum walaw shaa Allahuma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroona |  وكذلك زين لكثير من المشركين قتل أولادهم شركاؤهم ليردوهم وليلبسوا عليهم دينهم ولو شاء الله ما فعلوه فذرهم وما يفترونوَكَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلاَدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسی طرح بہت سے مشرکوں کے لئے ان کے شریکوں نے اپنی اولاد کو مار ڈالنا (ان کی نگاہ میں) خوش نما کر دکھایا ہے تاکہ وہ انہیں برباد کر ڈالیں اور ان کے (بچے کھچے) دین کو (بھی) ان پر مشتبہ کر دیں، اور اگر اﷲ (انہیں جبراً روکنا) چاہتا تو وہ ایسا نہ کر پاتے پس آپ انہیں اور جو افترا پردازی وہ کر رہے ہیں (اسے نظرانداز کرتے ہوئے) چھوڑ دیجئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Even so, in the eyes of most of the pagans, their "partners" made alluring the slaughter of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction, and cause confusion in their religion. If Allah had willed, they would not have done so: But leave alone them and their inventions.
