[18:18] | Watahsabuhum ayqathanwahum ruqoodun wanuqallibuhum thata alyameeni wathataalshshimali wakalbuhum basitun thiraAAayhibialwaseedi lawi ittalaAAta AAalayhimlawallayta minhum firaran walamuli/ta minhum ruAAban |  وتحسبهم أيقاظا وهم رقود ونقلبهم ذات اليمين وذات الشمال وكلبهم باسط ذراعيه بالوصيد لو اطلعت عليهم لوليت منهم فرارا ولملئت منهم رعباوَتَحْسَبُهُمْ أَيْقَاظًا وَهُمْ رُقُودٌ وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ ذَاتَ الْيَمِينِ وَذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ وَكَلْبُهُم بَاسِطٌ ذِرَاعَيْهِ بِالْوَصِيدِ لَوِاطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَوَلَّيْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِرَارًا وَلَمُلِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ رُعْبًا | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے سننے والے!) تو انہیں (دیکھے تو) بیدار خیال کرے گا حالانکہ وہ سوئے ہوئے ہیں اور ہم (وقفوں کے ساتھ) انہیں دائیں جانب اور بائیں جانب کروٹیں بدلاتے رہتے ہیں، اور ان کا کتا (ان کی) چوکھٹ پر اپنے دونوں بازو پھیلائے (بیٹھا) ہے، اگر تو انہیں جھانک کر دیکھ لیتا تو ان سے پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگ جاتا اور تیرے دل میں ان کی دہشت بھر جاتی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Thou wouldst have deemed them awake, whilst they were asleep, and We turned them on their right and on their left sides: their dog stretching forth his two fore-legs on the threshold: if thou hadst come up on to them, thou wouldst have certainly turned back from them in flight, and wouldst certainly have been filled with terror of them.
