| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [2:88] | Waqaloo quloobuna ghulfun ballaAAanahumu Allahu bikufrihim faqaleelan mayu/minoona |  وقالوا قلوبنا غلف بل لعنهم الله بكفرهم فقليلا ما يؤمنونوَقَالُواْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌ بَلْ لَّعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَقَلِيْلاً مَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہودیوں نے کہا: ہمارے دلوں پر غلاف ہیں، (ایسا نہیں) بلکہ ان کے کفر کے باعث اللہ نے ان پر لعنت کر دی ہے سو وہ بہت ہی کم ایمان رکھتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They say, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah's Word: we need no more)." Nay, Allah's curse is on them for their blasphemy: Little is it they believe.

[3:8] | Rabbana la tuzigh quloobanabaAAda ith hadaytana wahab lana min ladunkarahmatan innaka anta alwahhabu | ربنا لا تزغ قلوبنا بعد إذ هديتنا وهب لنا من لدنك رحمة إنك أنت الوهاب رَبَّنَا لاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اور عرض کرتے ہیں:) اے ہمارے رب! ہمارے دلوں میں کجی پیدا نہ کر اس کے بعد کہ تو نے ہمیں ہدایت سے سرفراز فرمایا ہے اور ہمیں خاص اپنی طرف سے رحمت عطا فرما، بیشک تو ہی بہت عطا فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Our Lord!" (they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure.

[4:155] | Fabima naqdihim meethaqahumwakufrihim bi-ayati Allahi waqatlihimual-anbiyaa bighayri haqqin waqawlihim quloobunaghulfun bal tabaAAa Allahu AAalayhabikufrihim fala yu/minoona illa qaleelan | فبما نقضهم ميثاقهم وكفرهم بآيات الله وقتلهم الأنبياء بغير حق وقولهم قلوبنا غلف بل طبع الله عليها بكفرهم فلا يؤمنون إلا قليلا فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِم بَآيَاتِ اللّهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌ بَلْ طَبَعَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس (انہیں جو سزائیں ملیں وہ) ان کی اپنی عہد شکنی پر اور آیاتِ الٰہی سے انکار (کے سبب) اور انبیاء کو ان کے ناحق قتل کر ڈالنے (کے باعث)، نیز ان کی اس بات (کے سبب) سے کہ ہمارے دلوں پر غلاف (چڑھے ہوئے) ہیں، (حقیقت میں ایسا نہ تھا) بلکہ اﷲ نے ان کے کفر کے باعث ان کے دلوں پر مُہر لگا دی ہے، سو وہ چند ایک کے سوا ایمان نہیں لائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (They have incurred divine displeasure): In that they broke their covenant; that they rejected the signs of Allah; that they slew the Messengers in defiance of right; that they said, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah's Word; We need no more)";- Nay, Allah hath set the seal on their hearts for their blasphemy, and little is it they believe;-

[5:113] | Qaloo nureedu an na/kula minhawatatma-inna quloobuna wanaAAlama an qad sadaqtanawanakoona AAalayha mina alshshahideena | قالوا نريد أن نأكل منها وتطمئن قلوبنا ونعلم أن قد صدقتنا ونكون عليها من الشاهدين قَالُواْ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہنے لگے: ہم (تو صرف) یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ اس میں سے کھائیں اور ہمارے دل مطمئن ہو جائیں اور ہم (مزید یقین سے) جان لیں کہ آپ نے ہم سے سچ کہا ہے اور ہم اس (خوانِ نعمت کے اترنے) پر گواہ ہو جائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle."

[41:5] | Waqaloo quloobuna fee akinnatinmimma tadAAoona ilayhi wafee athaninawaqrun wamin baynina wabaynika hijabun faiAAmalinnana AAamiloona | وقالوا قلوبنا في أكنة مما تدعونا إليه وفي آذاننا وقر ومن بيننا وبينك حجاب فاعمل إننا عاملون وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِن بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے دل اُس چیز سے غلافوں میں ہیں جس کی طرف آپ ہمیں بلاتے ہیں اور ہمارے کانوں میں (بہرے پن کا) بوجھ ہے اور ہمارے اور آپ کے درمیان پردہ ہے سو آپ (اپنا) عمل کرتے رہئے ہم اپنا عمل کرنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)"

[59:10] | Waallatheena jaoo minbaAAdihim yaqooloona rabbana ighfir lana wali-ikhwaninaallatheena sabaqoona bial-eemani walatajAAal fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanoorabbana innaka raoofun raheemun | والذين جاءوا من بعدهم يقولون ربنا اغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان ولا تجعل في قلوبنا غلا للذين آمنوا ربنا إنك رءوف رحيم وَالَّذِينَ جَاؤُوا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيْمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہ لوگ (بھی) جو اُن (مہاجرین و انصار) کے بعد آئے (اور) عرض کرتے ہیں: اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں بخش دے اور ہمارے ان بھائیوں کو بھی، جو ایمان لانے میں ہم سے آگے بڑھ گئے اور ہمارے دلوں میں ایمان والوں کے لئے کوئی کینہ اور بغض باقی نہ رکھ۔ اے ہمارے رب! بیشک تو بہت شفقت فرمانے والا بہت رحم فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed. Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful."
