| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [20:21] | Qala khuthha walatakhaf sanuAAeeduha seerataha al-oola |  قال خذها ولا تخف سنعيدها سيرتها الأولىقَالَ خُذْهَا وَلَا تَخَفْ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا الْأُولَى | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد فرمایا: اسے پکڑ لو اور مت ڈرو ہم اسے ابھی اس کی پہلی حالت پر لوٹا دیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition"..

| Tahir ul Qadri | (فرعون نے) کہا: تو (ان) پہلی قوموں کا کیا حال ہوا (جو تمہارے رب کو نہیں مانتی تھیں) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?"

| 3. [20:133] | Waqaloo lawla ya/teenabi-ayatin min rabbihi awa lam ta/tihim bayyinatu mafee alssuhufi al-oola | وقالوا لولا يأتينا بآية من ربه أولم تأتهم بينة ما في الصحف الأولى وَقَالُواْ لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا بِآيَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِم بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (کفار) کہتے ہیں کہ یہ (رسول) ہمارے پاس اپنے رب کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں لاتے، کیا ان کے پاس ان باتوں کا واضح ثبوت (یعنی قرآن) نہیں آگیا جو اگلی کتابوں میں (مذکور) تھیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They say: "Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has not a Clear Sign come to them of all that was in the former Books of revelation?

[28:43] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba min baAAdi ma ahlakna alquroonaal-oola basa-ira lilnnasi wahudanwarahmatan laAAallahum yatathakkaroona | ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب من بعد ما أهلكنا القرون الأولى بصائر للناس وهدى ورحمة لعلهم يتذكرون وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ الْأُولَى بَصَائِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے اس (صورتِ حال) کے بعد کہ ہم پہلی (نافرمان) قوموں کو ہلاک کر چکے تھے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو کتاب عطا کی جو لوگوں کے لئے (خزانۂ) بصیرت اور ہدایت و رحمت تھی، تاکہ وہ نصیحت قبول کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We did reveal to Moses the Book after We had destroyed the earlier generations, (to give) Insight to men, and guidance and Mercy, that they might receive admonition.

[28:70] | Wahuwa Allahu la ilahailla huwa lahu alhamdu fee al-oola waal-akhiratiwalahu alhukmu wa-ilayhi turjaAAoona | وهو الله لا إله إلا هو له الحمد في الأولى والآخرة وله الحكم وإليه ترجعون وَهُوَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي الْأُولَى وَالْآخِرَةِ وَلَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی اللہ ہے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ دنیا اور آخرت میں ساری تعریفیں اسی کے لئے ہیں، اور (حقیقی) حکم و فرمانروائی (بھی) اسی کی ہے اور تم اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And He is Allah: There is no god but He. To Him be praise, at the first and at the last: for Him is the Command, and to Him shall ye (all) be brought back.

[33:33] | Waqarna fee buyootikunna walatabarrajna tabarruja aljahiliyyati al-oola waaqimnaalssalata waateena alzzakatawaatiAAna Allaha warasoolahu innama yureeduAllahu liyuthhiba AAankumu alrrijsa ahlaalbayti wayutahhirakum tatheeran | وقرن في بيوتكن ولا تبرجن تبرج الجاهلية الأولى وأقمن الصلاة وآتين الزكاة وأطعن الله ورسوله إنما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت ويطهركم تطهيرا وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اپنے گھروں میں سکون سے قیام پذیر رہنا اور پرانی جاہلیت کی طرح زیب و زینت کا اظہار مت کرنا، اور نماز قائم رکھنا اور زکوٰۃ دیتے رہنا اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی اطاعت گزاری میں رہنا، بس اللہ یہی چاہتا ہے کہ اے (رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے) اہلِ بیت! تم سے ہر قسم کے گناہ کا میل (اور شک و نقص کی گرد تک) دُور کر دے اور تمہیں (کامل) طہارت سے نواز کر بالکل پاک صاف کر دے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

| 7. [37:59] | Illa mawtatana al-oolawama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena | إلا موتتنا الأولى وما نحن بمعذبين إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اپنی پہلی موت کے سوا (جس سے گزر کر ہم یہاں آچکے) اور نہ ہم پر کبھی عذاب کیا جائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?"

| 8. [44:35] | In hiya illa mawtatuna al-oolawama nahnu bimunshareena | إن هي إلا موتتنا الأولى وما نحن بمنشرين إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا الْأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کہ ہماری پہلی موت کے سوا (بعد میں) کچھ نہیں ہے اور ہم (دوبارہ) نہیں اٹھائے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again.

| 9. [44:56] | La yathooqoona feehaalmawta illa almawtata al-oola wawaqahum AAathabaaljaheemi | لا يذوقون فيها الموت إلا الموتة الأولى ووقاهم عذاب الجحيم لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا الْمَوْتَ إِلَّا الْمَوْتَةَ الْأُولَى وَوَقَاهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس (جنت) میں موت کا مَزہ نہیں چکھیں گے سوائے (اس) پہلی موت کے (جو گزر چکی ہوگی) اور اللہ انہیں دوزخ کے عذاب سے بچا لے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,-

| 10. [53:50] | Waannahu ahlaka AAadan al-oola | وأنه أهلك عادا الأولى وَأَنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا الْأُولَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ اسی نے پہلی (قومِ) عاد کو ہلاک کیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people),

| 11. [53:56] | Hatha natheerun mina alnnuthurial-oola | هذا نذير من النذر الأولى هَذَا نَذِيرٌ مِّنَ النُّذُرِ الْأُولَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (رسولِ اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بھی) اگلے ڈر سنانے والوں میں سے ایک ڈر سنانے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old!

| 12. [56:62] | Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnash-ata al-oolafalawla tathakkaroona | ولقد علمتم النشأة الأولى فلولا تذكرون وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَى فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک تم نے پہلے پیدائش (کی حقیقت) معلوم کر لی پھر تم نصیحت قبول کیوں نہیں کرتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises?

| 13. [87:18] | Inna hatha lafee alssuhufial-oola | إن هذا لفي الصحف الأولى إِنَّ هَذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک یہ (تعلیم) اگلے صحیفوں میں (بھی مذکور) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),-

| 14. [93:4] | Walal-akhiratu khayrun laka minaal-oola | وللآخرة خير لك من الأولى وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک (ہر) بعد کی گھڑی آپ کے لئے پہلے سے بہتر (یعنی باعثِ عظمت و رفعت) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.
