[13:32] | Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablikafaamlaytu lillatheena kafaroo thumma akhathtuhumfakayfa kana AAiqabi |  ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فأمليت للذين كفروا ثم أخذتهم فكيف كان عقابوَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِىءَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک آپ سے قبل (بھی کفار کی جانب سے) رسولوں کے ساتھ مذاق کیا جاتا رہا سو میں نے کافروں کو مہلت دی پھر میں نے انہیں (عذاب کی) گرفت میں لے لیا۔ پھر (دیکھئے) میرا عذاب کیسا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Mocked were (many) messengers before thee: but I granted respite to the unbelievers, and finally I punished them: Then how (terrible) was my requital!

| Tahir ul Qadri | (اِن میں سے) ہر ایک گروہ نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا تو (اُن پر) میرا عذاب واجب ہو گیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them).

[40:5] | Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinwaal-ahzabu min baAAdihim wahammat kulluommatin birasoolihim liya/khuthoohu wajadaloo bialbatililiyudhidoo bihi alhaqqa faakhathtuhumfakayfa kana AAiqabi | كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح والأحزاب من بعدهم وهمت كل أمة برسولهم ليأخذوه وجادلوا بالباطل ليدحضوا به الحق فأخذتهم فكيف كان عقاب كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَالْأَحْزَابُ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ وَجَادَلُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اِن سے پہلے قومِ نوح نے اور اُن کے بعد (اور) بہت سی امتّوں نے (اپنے رسولوں کو) جھٹلایا اور ہر امّت نے اپنے رسول کے بارے میں ارادہ کیا کہ اسے پکڑ (کر قتل کر دیں یا قید کر) لیں اور بے بنیاد باتوں کے ذریعے جھگڑا کیا تاکہ اس (جھگڑے) کے ذریعے حق (کا اثر) زائل کر دیں سو میں نے انہیں (عذاب میں) پکڑ لیا، پس (میرا) عذاب کیسا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But (there were people) before them, who denied (the Signs),- the People of Noah, and the Confederates (of Evil) after them; and every People plotted against their prophet, to seize him, and disputed by means of vanities, therewith to condemn the Truth; but it was I that seized them! and how (terrible) was My Requital!

[41:43] | Ma yuqalu laka illa maqad qeela lilrrusuli min qablika inna rabbaka lathoomaghfiratin wathoo AAiqabin aleemin | ما يقال لك إلا ما قد قيل للرسل من قبلك إن ربك لذو مغفرة وذو عقاب أليم مَا يُقَالُ لَكَ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ قِيلَ لِلرُّسُلِ مِن قَبْلِكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ وَذُو عِقَابٍ أَلِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیب!) جو آپ سے کہی جاتی ہیں (یہ) وہی باتیں ہیں جو آپ سے پہلے رسولوں سے کہی جا چکی ہیں، بے شک آپ کا رب ضرور معافی والا (بھی) ہے اور درد ناک سزا دینے والا (بھی) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nothing is said to thee that was not said to the messengers before thee: that thy lord has at his Command (all) forgiveness as well as a most Grievous Penalty.
